  1. You could probably buy a new car for the prices they would want.
  2. No hoist access any more as he sold the business, so back to working on ramps Na Im not worried, just thought some tips to go about it as easy as possible would be good for me and others wanting to tackle it when the need arrises. Hopefully it won't need doing for another year or more but who knows with these things, get ready for that call then! Cheers
  3. Take notes and pics while your at it mate and post it up
  4. Yep I agree with Dale. Go with a 245/45-18 as I did, they are the same size as VE commy factory wheels so price and choice is pretty good. They also help to fill the guards better than a 40 series unless you excessively lower your car to do so but then you run into other problems.
  5. He wouldn't loose around 1/3 or 33% of power to the. Ack wheels more like 20%. The old 30% loss rule isn't correct
  6. Here a DIY I did a while ago with all the steps. http://www.m35stagea.info/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=281&sid=85d277cbae40400ffd4cff248cb4dabd
  7. If your in Adelaide I would give you a hand. Give me a chance to do the mistakes on yours before I did mine! Lol
  8. Or is it so you guys can keep offering your services for cash money to do the job for them? ? jokes
  9. Yeah that's why I said the easiest, lol. Surely yourself and Craig can share a write up on the best way to go about at home on ramps like you do. Gotta share the love ?
  10. Not a problem. All we need is someone to do a turbo remove/refit to show the easiest way to go about.
  11. Just picked up the passenger side cam cover gasket to fit tomorrow. Came in just in time as yesterday I pulled up at a mates workshop and had smoke coming out from under the bonnet due to the oil running into the turbo! If people want I can't do a DIY write up on how to do it for those wanting to have a go but aren't sure about how to go about it.
  12. Cool, good to hear. Mine had genuine 59k on it with de reg paper and also was very clean under the car and engine bay. Only problem I found was a chocolate milk stain on the back seat from kids. When I removed the rear seat I found little girls hair clips and collector cards, so was deffinately the family wagon.
  13. 37,000! Genuine in an M35? Or is that after the Japanese tune up? If its genuine that car wouldn't have been cheap.
  14. +1 for the Commsman tuner, I have one in my M35 and great reception.
  15. And put it in the for sale section!
  16. I guess from the majority of people's experiences I'll stick to the standard globes.
  17. The power for the drivers door light is taken from the power window switch. There are two white wires, the thicker wire is constant 12v and I ran the earth wire on both door lights to the door trigger switcher on the pillar. The passenger door has no constant power so I took that from under the drivers side dash. It should be finished tomorrow when I pick up the lights, I'll do a write up hopefully tomorrow.
  18. The M35 already turns on the interior lights when you unlock the car and slowly dims them to off when you turn the ignition on. These are the courtesy lights Im fitting. These courtesy lights will light up the ground when you open the door so the misses can see if she's about to step into a puddle or mud in the gutter when getting out at night. Around $15 each from Nissan. Pics courtesy of Eugene the Russian.
  19. Hey guys I'm thinking of replacing all the interior roof and map lights with LED version but looking on eBay there are too many options to know what actually works and what doesn't. I'm after a nice white light , not blueish, and as bright or brighter than the current 10w globes. So if you have tried some with success let me know what type and where you got them. Thanks guys. I'm also in the middle of fitting factory option courtesy lights to the bottom of the front doors. Once finished I'll do a write up for those wanting to add some to their M35. Just waiting for one of the lights to arrive from back order.
  20. At the following pump pressure on 13.5 volts it draws the following below, so double that if running 2 pumps. Thats a lot of current draw, even 1 pump is a fair amount of current draw. at 50 psi - 14.88 amp at 60 psi - 15.64 amp at 70 psi - 16.45 amp
  21. I hope your upgrading your alternator if you plan on running 2 of these.
  22. Id assume the s1 ECU is like the r33 ECU and can't be done. Why not just email Nistune and get it from the horses mouth!
  23. Dale, what specs are you getting the turbo built to?
