prob fixed today.... cleaned the AFM, put new spark plugs, cleaned the throttle body and raised the idle rpm up by 100rpm, cars like new now..... never driven it like this before.... goes awesome........ thanks for your help guys

i had to change my bulbs not even 2 weeks ago,,,,, it was an easy job.... unscrew the light fitting cover on the back of the light assemble, unclip the bulb by pushing down and moveing the wire that holds the bulb in place, pull out the bulb that is connected to the red wire, put the new bulb in its place at the end of the red wire and push the bulb in and close the wire clip. Make sure that when you line the bulb up while you are trying to put it back in to the light fitting that it is straight by looking from the front of the headlight. The drivers side is not an easy bulb to change because there is less room for your hands and stuff, so do the passenger side first so you know what to do and then do the drivers side..... also be very careful not to touch the globe while doing the drivers side,,,,, you will most probably become frustrated and touch the bulb by accident.... please be conscious about it or you'll need new globes again lol

sorry its late and i cant be bothered re reading lol but for a copper trying to catch you speeding in a stationary position..(eg a gun or from the side of the car thing... i think its called an eagle or something like that) they have to have a sign up and if there is no fixed sign around,,,, they put up a portable 50cm X 100cm sign that says speed check in progress.... however if it is a marked police car they are shooting from they do not have to put the sign up to the best of my knowledge... only if they are away from the car (eg, shooting from around the corner or from behind another obstruction, they say they dont do it but we have all seen them hiding) or in an unmarked car that are usually a station wagon unit on country roads or those new highway patrol cars with the tiny radar on the side and you dont realise its highway patroll untill its too late.... for a moving read they can book you with or without signs.... also if pulled over by a copper dont be a smart ass,,,, or you'll prob endup having defects aswell as fine, loss of points and mabey suspension lol

i see that my car seems to idle a few hundred rpm lower than some r33's ive seen around..... its a GTST and im idleing at 500-600rpm..... others i have seen around the place are about 800-900rpm..... could my idle prob just be as simple as turning the idle up???? can i have some stats of what your rb25det idles at??? anyone????

Yeah i've seen it parked there all the time... He used to have a white 33 which he crashed pretty hard - saw that parked in the same spot for a while.. hahaha yeah i know the aiken road one aswell....... my mum used to get that car confuse with mine lol..... i got an R33 gtst in silver.....shes so cute sometimes.... and needs new glasses lol

yup i agree its just your clutch...... sam4e thing happend to me,,,, do you also hear a sound of a cricket creeking when you have your foot away from the clutch???? and does it go away when you push the clutch down???? I replaced mine with a exedy hd clutch and got fly machined,,,,,, everything is sweet now,,,, no more slipping and because it has more clamping power than standard clutch i dont get asmuch of that ugly clutch smell that cops seem to hate

yes i sound like a noob again but the lisence thing...... i been reading posts of guys needing to get things signed for a 30 day pass.... is this a different type of license to the $50 on the day licence that lasts 12 months??? also can i buy the lisence from the track without having to pre organise things before hand.... meaning that i just turn up on the day and buy a license??? and i want more beginners to come,,,,, i never attempted a skid pan before and i dont want to be dead last..... although if i do get last then i'll laugh so hard my lungs will fall out....

awesome idea....... about the skylines not the VL's.... vls are ok, besides there just a cheaper skyline anyway.... half the car is made by nissan anyway lol.... why don't we make it a skyline cruise aswell, everyone clean there cars, put white ribbon on them and just follow the gtr's to the city..... the groom is obviously a skyline man and im sure he wont mind aslong as we all behave.... and that way we can also get some profesional photos of the cars and we can give the bride and groom the photo's we take aswell....... the only person i met on this discssion is shane in his 34gt so if he goes i'll go in my 33gtst

saw a black R32 GTR and a silver R33 GTS-t series 2 at fitness first car park today at Castle towers.... i always see the 2 skylines there and today they were one carspot away from each other.... also i know this isn't the place but i parked next to a nice my99 or 98 red rexy, was done very good, didnt look to FULLY saw another sexy silver series 2 in the reflection of the glass door there with this very handsome guy driving it..... oh that was me lol

i want to go,,,,, never been to one of these before and never done any hard driving on my gtst..... so are beginners welcome????? also road worthy????? does that mean i cant have a pod thats not enclosed???? sorry im a noob

thanks guys this is helping heaps but please keep brainstorming other reasons coz im not a pro on rb25det engines and im worried some mechanic will rip me off blind.... more knowledge i have better chance i could fix it myself.... AFM sounds feesable, i'll swap it with a friends on saturday and let you know if that worked cheers

i drive my baby every single day from going to the shops to going to work to going on a cruise just for the hell of it to roasting marsh mellows from the flames and heat from the exhaust lol........... i love it and i know its expensive to run compared to a kia rio... one thing allot of people dont know is a car with a small engine and isnt maintained well or gets thrashed because your used to a skyline tends to eat asmuch petrol as the skyline..... trust me my last car was a 2001 rio....... anyway im 21, got no one dependent on me and no mortgage at the moment so might aswell savour the moment while petrol is still at a reasonable price compared to where it will be in 5 years time and drive my car as much as i can..... and since im on p's and i love driving the line my liver has had a break since i drink less due to wanting to drive now days so the skyline is good for my health and well being...

standard bov, could the standard one get worn out and would it make this issue???? and what you mean clean the air flow meter???? do i clean the mesh or open it up???
