  1. On a side note, I have also expressed interest in this one - http://www.carsales.com.au/all-cars/privat...id=1256BC163248 However - at present, i personally cannot justify spending the extra cash and getting a vspec II over a standard vspec. To me theres just not enough difference between the two apart from a fancy carbon fibre bonnet and some silver pedals to make it worth while. Times change though, never know!
  2. f*ck me she really is perfect! thanks for the link mate i've asked garry how much over my budget she would be. does anyone else have an idea of a rough price estimation for that one? landed, complied and on the road in aus? garry is on holidays at the moment, so not sure when i'll hear back - but thats cool, its christmas!, maybe he'll even personally find me a suprise when he pops into japan? haha
  3. Cheers for the info mate, however i'm looking for a pretty stock example.
  4. Hey mate, when a cars been thrashed - especially in this instance, its not just the engine you have to worry about. its also the wear and tear on the gear box, the diff - etc. with this particular car, i'd even question if the rebuild was even done properly, and i dont have 10k sitting up my sleeve when it falls over and needs another rebuild! If yor curious - car also has dents and scratches all over, cracks through numerous interior panels, nismo cluster stating almost 100,000k's (who knows how much its done on the standard cluster?), seats had holes in them, front splitter was held together with masking tape, tyres were bald, has had a new headlight put in and a bit of paint work, probably from a previous side / front end hit, the list goes on and on - i had a 2 page+ list of negotiation points when i first saw the car but i threw them out a few months ago. also - its not a vspec II, thats just a sticker.
  5. Todays GTR search experience. Have just got off the phone about another GTR i saw myself crawling back to out of curiosity. http://www.carsales.com.au/all-cars/privat...id=1256BC163248 It is already in Sydney, previously had the number plates POSSM. 'Lady owner', after posting up on SAU and asking about its history - it appears that it was the husband and the sons which gave it quite a hard life and that explains why it is in the condition it is today. Husband and wife were not on talking terms, and from how she had advertised the car - she said that she didnt even want her husband to know where she lives. Its had a full engine rebuild, seller originally told me a few months ago that it was because there were plans for the car to make it even quicker. It had a rick shaw racing sticker on the back, so i called rick shaw directly - and he told me that the engine was rebuilt because it spun the bottom end and needed a rebuild. Car is rough as guts, inside and out and drove like complete shit, but at the recent 40k negotiable price drop - i thought to myself, hey - maybe i'll give it a second chance. However, i just got off another phone call with the seller, and she told me that her ex husband now has the car again. WTF? The same ex husband that she was afraid to know where she lived, the same ex husband that apparently thrashed the car. Whats going on here? Worst case scenario - If they are not on good terms, and he knows that she's selling the car - its probably getting an ever harder time right now than it ever did before. Walking away again.. but a real a shame to see what was once such a sexy car get thrashed in what is apparently the middle of a domestic dispute. Or is she even divorced and its just a sales tactic? hmmmm.. End of the day, price would have been dropped because its coming up for rego in feb - and theres no way it would pass in its current state.
  6. hey mate, if we do a deal will you list on ebay and i'll pay you via paypal? please advise. cheers!
  7. hey dude, is that a genuine 33 spoiler? and by badges, do you mean its missing the side covers? cheers!
  8. great pics guys, have been searching for a r34 gtr, but i'm slowly slipping back into the r33 state of mind i think i need another one.
  9. LOL no offence taken, on the bright side - atleast im slightly legible! Just spotted a grey 32 GTR on windsor road!
  10. who is the c*nt? lets all sort him out. its been over a month now so he'll probably not make the direct link. hahhaha
  11. Have just heard from Garry. The last one I documented is also outside of my budget.
  12. Makes sense mate, and is exactly why the deceiving seller was constantly pushing to sell me the car without the RWC. Theres no way the big blue piece of shit would have passed. http://www.carsales.com.au/all-cars/privat...id=125BDCEEB420 whoops.. looks like i've 'accidently' dropped a link above for your viewing pleasure.
  13. 9:45pm - spotted a stock bayside blue vspec gtr on showground road with an exhaust that sounded like a digiridoo.
  14. still got a few ram sticks would also trade for anything interesting - shoot me through some offers cheers!
  15. ^ No luck! Everyone else please keep those offers coming - cash ready!
  16. I was thinking the same thing initially! Wonder if someone just doesnt like stickers and peeled it off, or if the bumpers been resprayed, or of its not an actual vspec and its just had the diffusers - etc added!? Will have to wait to hear back from Garrys guys with the verdict!
  17. Cheers for the confirmation mate, i've heard similar stories around the place - that does sound very dodgy! haha Yeah, auctions are great, however if I find one at a dealer in japan while im searching around - I just shoot the link through to Garry and he'll get one of his guys to physically go to the dealer and check the car out on the spot. Either way, I would never go buying something over there without Garry's assistance and advice Cheers!
  18. i have just sent you a large list of sites and exporters which i've been browsing hourly. hope this helps! note - some of them are a paid subscription service so you will have to register an account and also pay to get the full benefits, but i'd say its worth it. are you also shopping for a car? if so, what exactly are you after? if you like, i can keep an eye out for something that suits your requirements. there's even quite a few gtr's readily available at the moment if you look in the right places and you're not as picky as i am.
  19. around 60,000 k's. trade car view is one of the sources, however lots of old ads and apparently 'fake' ads are on there. there are plenty of sites that are a lot better than trade car view if you just google around. i just like the slightly larger pics from the trade car view site, some other sites seem to reduce the image size even further. have been mostly using the USS auctions, jap used cars - etc to find the majority. i've got a big list i go through hourly! haha
