  1. Sounds very similar to the M35 Stagea, when put into manual mode will always go into 3rd, and there is also a throttle restriction from take-off.
  2. The halo's are CCFL, white, so about 4300K-5000K. The bulbs are what ever you put in there, they don't come with globes you reuse the ones you have along with your original ballast (coupe model).
  3. The second dealer that I contacted on Saturday morning was FTG Nissan, they don't want to touch it. I was going to ring you up today Chris, just to clarifiy what is required to be done/programmed to get it to work.
  4. They don't want to listen to what I say, they know best, thats why the have that logo out the front, which also matches the one on their shirt. I have already embarrassed the service manager there already when I took my car down their to get the consult put on it to test the BCM. He didn't want to do it saying that "I don't want to hook it up for half an hour and have to charge you $50 and have no result" He eventually conceded and hooked it up, when returning the car to me with the printout, showing a fault in the ABS that cleared straight away and one in the TCU which wouldn't clear, I asked how much, he replied "don't worry about it" choking on humble pie. Fault with TCU was a brake switch fault. Nissan response "we don't know where that is, on the outside, on the inside, we have no manual" Contacted CVT.CO.NZ and the first line that I got back in response was "They don't know what the are doing", there is no brake switch on the gearbox. This is the kind of "expertise" I have to deal with when I go near the place, they get upset when you tell them they are wrong, bitch up when you prove that they are wrong, then they bullsh*t you till you walk away holding your head, IN PAIN.
  5. Has to be around the Melbourne area- south east, as it has to be in the car to be programmed.
  6. I have a 2002 V35 gt8 with a fried BCM, when ignition on no headlights or wipers, when ignition off and car locked wipers working and headlight flickering. Have obtained a new BCM from Nissan but after booking in to get it fitted (waiting a week), and a couple of hours in their service bay to be told that "we can't program it". Contacted another Nissan dealership to be told "We dont do a lot of imports and were not setup to do that sort of thing" My question is, has anyone had to program one, if you were successful, who and where?
  7. Weird, if you just count the lines, there isnt enought to get you to 180.
  8. Could also come down to the fact that my BCM is FRIED, new one getting fitted tomorrow Agreed, and the same goes to the people that have a prob with the CVT in the GT8, 3 months since I strapped the turbo on and I havent had a single problem with mine.
  9. Take it to your local tyre dealer and explain to them what you want to achieve. At the end of the day it doesn't matter what width rim or tyre you run, its the rolling diameter that throws out the speedo. This has been covered before.
  10. Shiva: Contact Import Monster with your intensions of a group buy, and you will probably start dealing with Rob in the Japan warehouse and he would be able to get in contact with the seller to organise a better price. Asian company's aren't a big fan of e-mail. I dealt with Rob for my headlights and I didn't pay GST as I payed via paypal to their account in Japan.
  11. Sedan headlights are all the same, its the outer shape that you need to worry about. Differance between S1 & S2 from what I can see is that they changed the look on the inside slightly and added height adjustment.
  12. You should have 2 list's going #1 Coupe #2 Sedan. Pics of the coupe lights Chrome Black Sedan Chrome Black By the look of the descriptions the coupe lights run all standard gear (globes & balast's) but the sedan one's require a H7 low beam globe which means a whole new kit. The wiring should be straight plug-in, I have the set for the sedan and they just plugged in. The squid rings/angel eyes on the coupe version are CCFL but the ring on the sedan is LED.
  13. Nismo US have their own version, I was running it before I went FI. Replaces the whole intake tract up to the TB and the pod filter is tucked in behind the front bar "out of" the engine bay.
  14. With the airbag there is a manual reset that I have used many times as the plug under my passenger set is a bit dodge. Turn ignition switch to the on position, as soon as the airbag light goes out switch it off. Repeat this process 5 times and then start the car, airbag light should come on while it does its initial startup sequence and then go out, and stay out.
  15. With the reverse light it might be like the M35 Stagea's, you have to take the light assembly out to gain access to the globe. I have not had to look at my rear lights so not completely sure.
  16. A mate of mine used to have a 2001 m35 with light mods, had done over 200,000 and still ran fine. 2.5 seems to be quite a strong little nugget, Scottym35 is/has run 30psi through his and hasn't even cracked the motor open. Not sure how many k's he has put on it.
  17. This is a link for the sedan ones, I have a set on my car already. http://www.importmonster.com.au/view?url=http://page22.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/l97636250&thumb=http://f6.auctions.c.yimg.jp/f39batchimg.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/users/7/2/8/7/crystaleye78-thumb-1320738126154552.jpg&title=V35 Low beam is H7, so you cant use original HID setup, you will need to get an aftermarket set. On the plus side if you are running the aftermarket setup on your factory lights, like I was, you would only need to buy new globes.
  18. Leaving the battery disconected wont do anything (will not reset ECU or clear codes). You want to try and get them to scan when you are suffering the symptoms. If the car is really only affected when its hot, it may be that there is a dodgy switch/sensor that only breaks down when really hot. So in short if you have problems when its hot, test when its hot.
  19. The self diagnose is for the ECU, not TCU. Best to go straight to Nissan and get them to pull the codes from the TCU.
  20. Why bother trying to convert US spec ones to RHD? Link for chrome finish- http://www.importmonster.com.au/view?url=http://page17.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/v226738996&thumb=http://f7.auctions.c.yimg.jp/f44batchimg.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/users/7/2/0/5/carstudio2006-thumb-1329293216359153.jpg&title=V35 CCFL And if you ask the guys nicely at IM the can get in contact withe the store and source the blacked out version. Seems cheaper and easier to do that than get them from the states and then have to pull them apart before you even put them on the car.
  21. Auto on/off has nothing to do with the headlight, it is controlled by the switch and BCM.
