  1. In response to Nightcrawler, the Metra fascia comes with the dual mode button. And who started this CRAP about premium and non-premium, so far from what I can see you start with the base model and then option it out at the dealership.
  2. Just need to clarify, is there a hole where the 'dual' button should be or is it a blank plate. Does your setup look like this...
  3. You would have to get a whole new AC control module that has the 'dual' mode button in it. Since the conversion to an aftermarket head unit is already done, you wont have to worry about the stereo interfacing with the AC controls, they have been separated already. Just rip out the existing stereo and fit what you want.
  4. No problem with the Cosworth intake plenum, bolted straight in and looks awesome!
  5. Another hidden part that can't be seen , not necessary.
  6. Motordyne is also American. Their version of 'bolt-on' requires cutting and welding equipment, and it doesn't matter what part you are talking about. I believe the point that Iamhe77 was talking about was that the quality Japanese brand 'bolt-on' equipment is just that, bolts straight in with no modification required and the gains are there as the R & D has been done. I can not tell you how much profanities came out from under my car when Iamhe77 & I fitted the Stillen exhaust to my V35.
  7. You shouldn't need to open the headlight up. The best way to tackle this problem is by doing some recon work first, and actually looking at what you actually have versus what you don't have. Jack the car up, take a wheel off, remove the inner rain guard and you will have excellent access to the back of the headlight. Pop out the top cover(globe) and inspect the setup - is the HID socket still in there and connected (to the ballast), is the ballast still bolted to the bottom of the light. If these questions are answered with a 'YES', then all you have to do is get power to the ballast, remove the adapter plate for the halogen globe and fit some HID bulbs.
  8. Scrape as much off as possible and scrub. Could also try using brake cleaner.
  9. Interesting statement since you will also not buy a set of RDA rotors because they were being sold on Ebay.
  10. The socket and cable to the ballast should still b there, (socket tucked to the side). The wiring would have been modified to eliminate the ballast altogether. Remove halogen bulb, reconnect + & - to ballast, remove globe adapter, fit new HID bulb and you should be back to factory. These will not work unless you are using an aftermarket ballast, they will not plug into the factory ballast as they are hard wired.
  11. I'm with you on this one Alex. And to OP, what Nate said.
  12. Whats wrong with yours, it has been customised to fit your car & it works.
  13. Seems to me that you really didn't look at the link properly. The second picture depicts RDA boxes, and the second paragraph states that they are RDA rotors.
  14. If the said motor is direct injected, the Kinetic V+ intake will be no good. Start by cleaning the plenum as was explained to you in another post and then go from there.
  15. Disconnect either injectors or spark down the back end of the motor (one at a time) and check if the noise goes. If it does it will more than likely be big end bearings, Happened to me on my R33 a few years back.
  16. You need to retrieve the fault codes and clear them before you initiate a relearn. Simply disconnecting the battery and letting the system completely drain any residual power will not reset the ECU.
  17. This method will not work. How can you reset the ECU without prior reading the fault codes and then clearing them from the ECU. Try the search function, results from the Stagea section (M35) will be relevant.
  18. Got mine in the post yesterday, looks nice. Will be fitting this weekend, thank Dale.
  19. I too would also like this link please.
  20. You could post a pic so people could see what you are talking about.
  21. The phenolic runner spacer is 19mm-3/4", plus the 17mm from the plenum spacer there was going to be no chance. But as I did mention in a previous post, there is a possibility that the 9mm less that everyone else has in their stack of parts may make it a possibility to run both spacers.
  22. To make the whole thing look like it has been there since day dot, you will want to cut the metal lip. If you start cutting the plastic you will have to remove a fair amount and probably ruin the cover.
