  1. Similar design lights can be sourced from Japan, have a look on IM.
  2. I have a set of the V35 projector headlights fitted to my sedan. They can be purchased from IM, for under $1000. Low beam is H1 so if you are running the original HID setup in your car, it is no good. I was running aftermarket so all I had to do was buy new globes. As for performance they are great, much better than the original lights.
  3. If there is only a small amount of oil in there, then dont worry too much. If there is a lot of oil in there, you will have to replace the rocker cover. It will be leaking past the seal on top of the spark plug tube and can only be replaced with a new rocker cover, others have tried just to replace that seal and havn't won.
  4. Thats a bit harsh!!! BTW thanks for organising to get my HKS kit down to me.
  5. Rami seems to have gotten a bit heated about the issue. I think that it comes down to how the car has been treated in its life, before assumptions can be made about the robustness of the g/box. I myself have been driving my car for about 2 months now with a HKS turbo kit installed and there hasn't been any issues. As for all the other things that Rami was on about, ie. window motor, try looking at (plug) Import Monster, I have gotten most of my parts through them and for small items send it via EMS and you will have it in a week. Can everyone stop jumping to conclusions about this g/box as mine is proving how capable they are.
  6. I also have adjustable rear seats in my V35
  7. Found this, didn't think it was too expensive! http://www.importmonster.com.au/view?url=http://page3.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/c289605767&thumb=http://f1.auctions.c.yimg.jp/f13batchimg.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/users/7/4/8/7/dualmode_net_2-thumb-1301209973615318.jpg&title=WALD%20V35
  8. You could also try this, http://www.importmonster.com.au/view?url=http://page18.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/w15630821&thumb=http://f7.auctions.c.yimg.jp/img285.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/users/5/8/9/5/kcwscom-thumb-119501076043599.jpg&title=
  9. There is so much more info that we all have that this boy requires! When you lift the bonnet, (big sheet of metal that covers the engine), DO NOT touch the tremmie pipes, they are fragile and are expensive to replace.
  10. Just be aware that the 250 & 300 gt's have different spring rates to the 350. I have a 350gt8 fitted with a full set of Nismo's for a 350Z and is excellant, sits nice with the 18's.
  11. Sorry, but that ship has sailed, and yes it is the correct fluid as I had mine done just before Christmas and all is good. P.s.- If anyone gets theres done, make sure whoever does it doesn't overfill the tranny. Mine was a touch over and was doing some weird things namely at high revs the g/box would "disengage" drive, but that problem has been rectified.
  12. Why does everyone rag on the gt8 box?????? Get it checked out, i.e. fluid level & scan tool. If no joy, contact CVT.CO.NZ, they would probably be the best guys to get info from- outside Japan. P.s.- Nissan tested this box and at 120K, stripped it down for inspection and found no wear, and even considered putting the original oil back in for more testing, Only consider swapping out the box if the cost of repair outweighs switching.
  13. Just got a set of plugs for mine, DENSO Iridium IKH16
  14. Same thing happened to mine, I went through nissan and had both sides done inc. labour for $180 a side. It wasn't long after that that I saw that you were able to just replace the bushes, and yes they will be the bushes that you are after.
  15. Sounds to me that it might be the throttle body, it happened to mine when I fitted my plenum spacer, take it off and clean the butterfly and surrounding area with brake clean to remove all carbon deposits.
  16. I would go with the V35, very good package straight out of the box, add your own special touches to make it yours. The newer V series engines are much better in a lot of areas in comparison to the old inline 6 tractor engine, and yes the RB engines are good, the V series engines are better!
  17. I have one installed Very happy with the note, louder on start-up and more of a hint when warm(idle). Good deep note when under power, and you can just hear it when cruising, you can tell that the noise is coming from the back not droning all the way down the car.
  18. PUT THE STICKERS DOWN AND MOVE AWAY FROM THE CAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  19. This may be a stupid reply but stranger things have happened. Just make sure that the top vents are open, you can actually shut each vent manually, just a thought!
  20. Hi all, I have just purchased a new diff centre for my GT8, it is the factory fitted nismo lsd from a 380rs , what would be the best oil to use for this diff? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
  21. Running on faulken f452's ATM, not bad but it is uneven tyre wear that will make any tire make noise. I am running on 350Z nismo suspension at the moment and the camber is doing a good job of eating the inside of the tyres. The rims I got originally came with Bridgestone S02's & T02's, the T's are a run flat, which was disappointing when I had a blow out, hence the change, but the bridgestones were better grip wise. I have had moments with the current tyres in the wet when you can feel that the ABS is going to start, and yet on the old Bridestones you could almost put your foot to the firewall and you just stop, without that felling that the ABS is about to jump in.
  22. You could do the install yourself, saving you the cost of someone else doing it. It would also save you the time of organising it to be done, and you can do it when you want. A straight bolt on system is just that, you wont need to remove anything else because it is in the way. Just unbolt at the flanges and remove the hanger rubbers from the old system, swap them over and the bolt in the new system into place.
  23. Had the same problem when I fitted a stereo to my old R33, The black wire in the factory loom is not earth, it is the dimmer switch wire for illumination, if your head unit has illumination control it should be connected to this wire. Earth wire for the stereo should just go to the body, I put mine on one of the bolts holding down the rubber boot over the shifter.
  24. Cam, we will have a spare upper plenum floating around in the not so distant future, we could possibly look at modifying it to test your theory. And it will be cheaper and easier than finding the particular one you saw on the net!
