  1. For you mate, of course. It's a no drill mod too
  2. Red bull gives you wings(especially when u add bourbon to it) Got my grove on and polished some shit tonight, SC bracket and the lid for the plenum chamber I suppose you'd call it? but more importantly I've made the best cup holder ever, It's even adjustable Shit, think my wings just fell off
  3. Thats cool mate, might get a green one for myself
  4. Got some pictures mate? that sounds pretty cool. Might get one for my mate for xmas, what will it engrave alloy/stainless? Cheers Dan
  5. Shit mate, I hope the motors alright. Sounds like that catch can is a legal one that gets one side plumbed up to the rocker breather and the other back to the inlet behind the filter like mentioned earlier. Go back to Autobarn and headbutt old mate that sold it to you. As for your engine woes, it sounds like your to soft on it, show it no mercy it's a Datto they love to be abused. Put a set of stokers on it and then burn'em off and repeat as necessary. Doctors orders
  6. If you know the outside diameter of the pipe I can counter bore the flange 2/3rds of the way through so pipe sits inside it, instead of just being welded to the end of the pipe. Makes it a bit stronger I think, or send us your details and I'll chuck it in the post if it's all good Cheers Dan
  7. If cash wasn't a problem I'd have got a set of these through the local exhaust shop, $400 is too much at the moment, car's getting paint shortly . So second hand is my only option at the moment. Got some mods in mind for the exhaust anyway. MAG86: Finished this off at TAFE today, 11mm thick, 4 holes at 9mm for M8x1.25 or can push them out to 11 for M10x1.5 studs/bolts depends what you need. What size dump pipe are you planing on using? 54mm is less then 2.25 inch for the outlet, I can probably strech it to fit 2.50 inch pipe? If you can get the rest of the measurments (measurements from center lines would be best) a mate at work can write a program for a CNC mill to chop them out.
  8. SW Motorsport only have extractors off of a 260z, bummer the hunt goes on. Yeah mate, send us the plans and any I'll get it sorted for you
  9. Lots of the rolla boys run run ghetto speck front lips made from that black garden edging, screwed/cable tied on. I guess us Datto owners are a more sophisticated bunch
  10. Bunnings? you know what I'm talkin' bout
  11. Stumbled across this last night and thought it was pretty schmick. Lots of work gone into this I would imagine. http://www.gtaforums.com/index.php?showtopic=264212&st=0
  12. Well progress has slowed but I'm still moving forward, I've added a resonator to the exhaust and removed the rear muffler(replaced by the twins) Finished the s/c inlet, sent the s/c outlet for welding, finished the top bracket(V-3.0) ready for welding and discovered the new inlet manifold won't work with the factory exhaust manifold so waiting on extractors now. more pics in the mean time, Port matched and polished Old verses new(looks huge) Looking a bit worse for wear at the moment
  13. You the man Sent an email off to SW Motorsport last night and they have a set of extractors off an L6 from a rally car (240k?) will call to confirm. Best bit is there a $100 so I think I owe you a flange for your dump pipe if your keen? let me know mate Cheers lads
  14. why? 2 sets on ebay, one in Melbourn, one in Brisbane and none in Sydney Thanks again MAG86
  15. Awsome, if thats the case I'll marry you and have your babies Gotta beat paying $400+ for a set or the quote for $1500 custom made. I wasn't sure if the patrol headers would work. Cheers Dan
  16. Yep, I need a set of extractors for the coupe to keep things rolling along with this stupid supercharger idea Cheers Dan
  17. Ahh, thankyou good sir. The patrol stuff looks to come down fairly sharply then sweep back, same basket as the z stuff i think. As for my catch can, It came with my old KE70 turbo wagon and was replaced asap cause it was just to hectic for the car. It'll do for now untill I can make a new one. Time to go shopping
  18. so.....I tried fitting the new manifold but it's fouling on the old exhaust manifold heat exchanger, so I'm going to need to get a set of extractors I think. Not having much luck finding a set for the Datto, just wondering if anything else will work, patrol/240/260/280z? anything else? I'm sure I've read that the z's won't work. Cheers Dan
  19. Good to see things are going well with the Datto for you man, The coilovers should come as a complete set, with the spring on an adjustable perch. Most should come with adjustable shocks too I would think?. 6kg springs should be ok, don't go much harder if you like your spine the way it is. If you can get some spec's up for those adaptors I might be able to knock some up at work, measurements would have to be spot on tho. Thinking about doing the same with mine.
  20. Alrighty, thanks guys I'm slowly getting it sorted. This is why I asked about the crank breather, the supercharger inlet is a tight fit on all sides. So, If I cut the crank breather off a little closer to the block (removing the smaller vent hose all together) and plumb that to my crude little catch can will that remove the need for the PCV valve? and if I go down this path, what then do I need to do with the fuel tank vent which is connected to the small crank case vent via this valve that also goes to the air filter housing. Thanks again for your help, I'm all for leaving stuff as is (if it ain't broke), but most of this stuff will be redundant once the new manifold/Holley goes on.
  21. So yeah I got another manifold (stamped E30) for the Holley. It still needs an adapter but is a nicer lookin piece of kit then the one on the motor now. What I need to know is when you guys change carby's/extractors what of the associated gear can be chucked in the leftovers pile and what needs to be kept connected? I would like to remove as much shit as I can to tidy up the engine bay Can this pipe coming out of the block to exhaust be deleted The 20mm one with the smaller one off the side? What else can go? Also need a longer acclerator cable if anyone knows of anything useful? Cheers Dan This is the new manifold and adapter so far so shiny
  22. Haha classic, I myself had to for-go a night at the pub to purchase said manifold but am happy the money still made it over the bar and a good time was had by all On another note, a mates painter is coming to have a look tomorrow. He's painted a few Datto's for the boys and dose a pretty good job too. Here's a couple of recent ones
  23. That sound interesting mate, wouldn't have a spare set of extractors laying around too? Think I've sorted the pulley conversion today, swapped the air con pulley straight over. Had to drill the magnet assembly, drill and tap the supercharger housing to suit and then for the front clutch plate It needed to be keyed onto the spline of the output shaft. Should keep the boost down too being a larger pulley, just need to sort the mounts and idler pulley arrangement. Then plum it up and blow it up
  24. no more then a carton of beer and not the expensive kind either. depends how bad you want one.
  25. Well here we go, I'm about to embark on a low budget, big headf@#K, supercharged L6 skyline. Starting out with a stock, unknown k's L24 in the C210 coupe = free (budget still in tact) One 310? Holley 2 barrel carby = free (needs a rebuild) One SC12 supercharger from an AE101 4AGZE corolla = $140 Fabricate mount/s for SC12 at work = free Fabricate custom inlet for SC12 = free (pending 2.5" mandrel bend) Modify factory alloy outlet for SC12 = free (cut, rotate 90deg and re-weld) Fabricate adapter/plenum/enclosure for Holley = free Will have to work out the rest as I go. Here's some pics of the progress so far, 200x20mm flat bar over kill? yeah, back to 10mm Mount for engine, Round bar for lower s/c mount, Small bracket for top s/c mount It fits (yay) Template for top bracket SC12 inlet on engine side is a bit tight for space, will come out and up on a tight 90deg bend then over the top to where the air filter is. Well that's the plan anyway Input and constructive criticism is welcomed, Cheers Dan
