  1. wow, they dont come much cleaner then that. looks like a very well kept car.
  2. Yeah, I think a mild cam and some port work/skim of the head would liven it up a bit with the new headers and E30 manifold. Wouldn't mind a decent down draught webber instead of the 300 Holly. Shimming the cam towers should be fairly straight forward lift the towers buy whatever you take off the head? or am I missing something? Have a C110 sedan lined up for cheap. all thats left is running gear and suspension. So a spare head to rebuild if it's still good, spare struts to do the hilux calliper/coilover? conversion on as well as a spare box/diff. Hopefully my new shed will be built early next year so I've got somewhere to keep it all.
  3. Show postponed till 14th next month due to shit weather. D- apparently accommodation fills up fast. I've already booked in and they said there filling up fast. Still undecided on the track day, need more power/better brakes/better suspension. Might invest in a cam and a die grinder.
  4. this was taken from the 240k sub forum on classic zcar.com so anything less then that I suppose. i was planning on trying to get a set of RS Watanabe's in F16x8(0), R16x8.5(-6) as according to watanabe, this is the max for the KPGC110 now, i figured that since i had the guards, that those would be fine, but now i realise that the KPGC110 had a different rear offset to the KPGC110, so will that through out my idea? the wheels have to be legal as it has to go through engineering according to the site, the GC110 has F/R 14x6.5(+14.5) and the KPGC110 has F14x8(-6) R14x8.5(-13) out of the factory (well i assume that is what it is according to the table) http://www.rs-watanabe.co.jp/index2.htm
  5. Mate a TAFE drew this for me today (took him all of 5 mins ) I reckon it's pretty cool, I like the plates too might look in to them. Cheers Dan
  6. I've got a good set of C210 stockers but not real keen to let them go as the wheels I've got now are loners from a mate. When I finish my apprenticeship I might treat myself to a nice set of rims from the mother land. AE86DC.com is the place to go for rims.
  7. Just thought I'd throw this up in case anyone is keen, short notice I know but anyway I'm still chasing the bonnet and guard trims for the C210 if anyone is going and has spares for sale. http://www.ozdat.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=23104 Cheers Dan also: anyone going to Datnats in Goulburn over the 2011 easter long weekend?
  8. When I said Swmotorsport I ment that's where I got them from not who makes them. I got the rear D bushes from a local brakepro under car, he had them in stock Mate, have those cross member bushes come down in price any since then? Bit out of my budget at the moment. You wouldn't have a pic of them out of the car by any chance? Cheers Dan
  9. Stewart wilkons motorsport for the moustache bar bushes and nolathane for the D bushes .
  10. wow, Have your wheat bix before trying to get those studs out the back of your diff. Will defiantly be putting bolts back in on re-assembly. Pulled the sway bar while I was under there, bushes are well and truly shagged.
  11. Babalouie: Thanks man, that's exactly what mine looks like/is doing will pull the bar off tonight and press the bushes out at work tomorrow. MAG86: I don't know about making steel bushes we have this delrin plastic but that probably wouldn't be much different then the steel ones. Depends how much there going to cost I suppose.
  12. Ok, so far I've found.....listed for a c210 Rear swaybar link kit. (is the front link the same?) same P/No. as R30 Tension bar kit. same P/No. as R30 Still need front and rear swaybar D-bushes (can anyone confirm there the same as R30) Front bar 21mm/rear bar 18mm and what about front/rear control arm bushes? cheers
  13. Thank-you mate, your too kind. I'll have a better look at the rear end tonight and start chasing down some new rubber bits. Can anyone confirm the diameter of the R30 Tension bar?
  14. I was under the back of my car last night and noticed that the diff/moustache bar moves up and down on the chassis mounts. Moves about 20mm is that normal? Car seems really soft and floaty on the road, has mega body roll too. Can I use bushes from other dattos for the front end/swaybars local parts place doesn't list much for the C210 Cheers Dan
  15. I bid on them at the asking price of $300 but they sold for $305.50 or something like that. Was going to bid at the last minute but they finished past my bed time wow I'm so old and lame
  16. There's the right way, the wrong way,and the railway, which is usually worse then the wrong way. Sweet find mate, love the shiny black vinyl interior, looks new?
  17. so did anyone from here buy the L6 headers for a c110/210 off these guys a couple of days ago?
  18. Well I got my alternator reco'ed but the problem persisted, turned out to be a dodgy fusible link (alternator bearings where shagged anyway) Dose anybody know what the correct rating for the 4 fusible links is(red, 2 x green, brown). As well as the main link from battery "+" terminal? Considering changing to a newer style fusible link like some of the 240z guys are doing. Cheers Dan
  19. Thank you sir, I was hoping that was the case as I haven't had time to look at it yet, but really don't want to be chasing a short somewhere in the loom/s. Would consider an engine conversion before doing that Can I use an alternator off any l series motor l16,l18,l20?
  20. Ok, so I got my car registered on Monday, finally, and it passed it's inspection first go with all but the window washer motor (front) not working. After taking it for it's first decent drive (and having an exhaust mount break) all seemed to be ok, still needs some tlc but nothing major. Day 2 and all is well for the drive to tafe, but when I left to come home car was hard to start, wouldn't idle at all, and all the dash lights were staying on (reds) charge, fuel, brake ect. Volts gauge is showing normal reading and car will run if you keep the rev's up it. No blown fuses not sure where I should start probing......any ideas? Cheers Dan
  21. Seems odd that all six would be blocked, maybe one or two but six? couldn't you bridge the injectors to test each one individually. your gonna be pissed if you buy all new injectors and they still don't work.
  22. Yep, Kids are like cars' I keep going back for more punishment Looking through some of mum's old photos and spotted a few Datto's. Mum had a beat up 120y but dad bought a brand new 180b (before I was thought of) waited months for it to arrive. It came in on a Friday dad picked it up and went for a run up the scenic hill (bells line rd) Rain and oil + new Datsun = Hit the wall rear first then front, so after 15 minutes of ownership he got towed back to the dealer and told them to fix it. He then left town on the Monday for a 6 month call of duty in the navy. Still thinks it was an awesome car and the piece of gutter is still missing that he took out. Ghostrider: As much as I'd like to drive it every day it will inevitably be a weekend warrior/cruiser and I've got plenty of paint/pearl left over if the worst happens. blk180: The paint was a mates rates kind of thing, that's why I got it so cheap but yeah it was a local shop/painter. Painter was a bit worried about the prep but once he got started he was really happy with my prep/body work (the owner of the shop even told me I'd done a great job) just gotta be patient and do it right. Socrates: I don't think I'll make the Skyline nationals at this stage, but I've booked in for Dat nats with a few boys for next year. Cheers Dan
  23. Cars finally back home after spending 3+ months waiting for paint also got another nice little surprise last week Our little man jhr001: stone guard is a spray on type, and the sig picture is just wishful thinking at the moment. I think it needs to be dropped a couple of inches before anything else.
  24. Very nice mate, I'm liking these things more and more. Nice wheels, good stance, looks tuff. Just striped the deadner out of mine, should have weighed it would have gone close to that I recon.
  25. Cheers mate, it's shit how long it takes for all that paper work to get sorted. I'm still unsure about the skynats but the Datto brother hood here in lithgow want me to go to datnats with them next year. sounds like an awesome weekend paint cost about $800, $250 for use of the work shop/booth and $250 for the painter. Cheers mate, sills have been blacked out with stone guard. The old girl has still got the factory L24 and 5spd box for now.
