just thought i would give this thread abit of an update. car was on the dyno today and made 350rwkw, tomorrow boost will be turned up to 23psi so will get back to you guys with updates E85 FTW!!!!!!!

ouchhhh. its not that harsh here in vic. a close mate of mine just recently got epa'd in his car for a high mount setup power fc and screamer pipe. got a fine, put his car to standard and presented it to the epa centre. a major defect over here doesnt always get you a big fine, but just a fine for driving an unroadworthy vehicle (and they dont always give you that fine, my previous one never came with a fine) but you do HAVE TO present a road worthy certificate and present it to vic roads.

personally, i dont like the internally gated cars with the split dump pipes to make it a screamer pipe, but its your car your choice, we dont live our lives to make everyone happy. you will get mixed reactions with everything in life. and yes they are illegal, but so are alot of other things on most of our cars. just an exhaust upgrade will get you an epa. i have a screamer on mine coming off my turbosmart pro gate, i love it, and dont really care what others think (not saying it in a smart ass way, but just saying i do things to my car for myself, not for others)

lol, not saying its holding me back, just stating what the car has. i think alot of people are forgetting the fact that the car IS NOT FINISHED yet, its only on a safe tune for now until i go back there in February. the only reason why i actually picked it up was because i was really keen to go for a drive in the thing, take care of other things with the car for the time being then take it back when they open up.

manni - thanks alot mate dave - it doesnt sound too bad in person as it isnt as high pitch, BUT having said that, i will be getting a bov soon enough before it goes in for the next tune, im only an apprentice, short on cash lol. another thing i wanted to add as well is that this is a all bolted onto the standard manifold, standard intake, shit cooler. when u pop the bonnet you can hardly tell anything is there a part from the big ass pro gate. will take a pik soon and post it up.

ALL ISSUES ASIDE, here is a little clip of what the car sounds like. as i said, im extremelly happy with how it has turned out and cannot wait till its finished, so we will see what happens once i take it to calder.

r31 nismoid, as i said, its having missfire issues and the tuning is not finished, also as i said dyno dont mean anything, its about the mph thats what im waiting for the turbo is a gt3540 with the .64 rear and on 18psi boost

not sure exactly, as i got it done as a packege mate. nytsky - i know that e85 needs a much higher cc injector and there dyno is quiet a low reading dyno, but as i said its not complete 100% so everything will be sorted out in 6 weeks, and as they say, a dyno should only be a tuning tool so im hanging to take out to calder/heathcote and see what mph/et i can get. feels absolutely mental , couldnt be happier.

in regards to whether you need special injectors, im not sure, but as u can see i have 2 bosch 044 fuel pumps which u can get most places. the thing to remember though is that e85 burn ALOT quicker.

for the fuel setup i have 2 x bosch 044 fuel pumps, surge tank, 800cc injectors (or there abouts), surge tank, braided fuel lines in the boot, new fuel lines from boot to fuel rail, new fuel rail, vipec ecu, garrett gt3540, catch can setup, and thats the basis really e85 is only available at the hoppers crossing petrol station on old geelong road, pump number 10. car is all over the road, but i cant even drive it really as i dont get my license back until 05/05
