lol this post is pretty funni i have to admit hahahah ummmmmm i was once parked in the city outside the entertainment centre..jus waitin for my friend rite...and then a whole bunch of 16?17?year tourist walk up to my car and yell "mad car mate, rev it hard" and "very very nice man.." and another "omg its a skyline" and then they cross the road and the most funny shit happened to me..lol "they get out there camera and yelled "SMILE" and i was on the fone and jus gave them a big V and a smile lOL...afta dat i was like WTF jus happeneD ? lol this was like a few weeks afta i got my skyline as well and i was like wow...this car attracts attention lol.. and i get a lot of "how much it cost", "wow nice car man" when im at the drive through at macca's or kfc... But seriously, i think skylines is one of the most noticible cars there is, like EVERYONE turns aroudn when you drive past.......it attracts so much attention, i cant believe it........... -

Speeding teen kills- (in a skyline)
Guilty replied to dale's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Well after reading what everyone says and also a skyline driver myself, I think it is partly the cars fault. Yes the 18year old was most at fault as he was stupid enough to drive that much over the limit, but all you people say that its got nothin to do with the car? Yes people can go over 100kmz, probally more in any car, but surely with that much power under the pedal, it does indirectly affect the way you drive. Although i admit that i dont streeet race, i do admit that i drivee a bit faster then i did when i drove my parents Camry. BEcause of the extra power, you tend to drive faster then you would normally do in say a Charade? Saying all this, i do agree that there should more education on younger drivers and being one myself, it is quite unfair for media/govt to generalise on the whole population of skylines drivers as it is quite untrue and unfair in what they are doing. -
Ummm ok *Newbie* Question Whatz the difference betweeen pink slips and blue slips?`? I no that sounds newbish...but no one is born a genius =) thx for any help.. cheeeeers

Advan_01 i think im in the same boat as you, ***kk i average about 160-180kmz for a 1/2 tank and around 310-320 for full tank and the only mod i have is a hks pod filter, but then again i alwayz fill up before the petrol light turns on as i get paronoid my car mite jus break down coz of no petrol in the middle of nowhere..hehe So i think if i reali push it i could make 350kmz.....but i aint got the guts to try dat hahha ummmm shiiiit man...most of u guyz are getting prety low fuel consumptionz compared to mine...and i consider myself a economical driver... grrr

all i have to say after reading what everyone said about driving safe and i wont do this and that when i get behind the wheel of a HP car.. well for some people, somethings are easily said then done. Can you really resist the temptation of stepping on that pedal when a rexy or a 200 pulls next to you and starts reving his asss off.? while your gf or some of your "coool" mates are sitting next to you? I know i can as i have beeeen doing that for the last 2 months since i got my skyline...if you can do that..then i applaud that coz it takes a lot of resistence to do dat. Saying all that i aint saying i don't gun it down the straight, but i neva go past 10-20kms ova the speed limit in a suburban road because i am alwayz paronoid that some kid or person mite walk out. Its also about recognising various conditions..like not pedallin too hard on a turn in wet weather when you jus got ur P's. This all comes with experience. anywayz the point i am trying to make is that "Just coz the power is there, doesnt mean you have to use it, only use it when it is neccessary and oh..and using it wisely and not recklessly..." thank you.. -

Who has bought or sold a skyline in 2003
Guilty replied to Dominic's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Oh one more thing, when i was looking for my skyline a month ago, it seemed that generally the skylines interstate were more cheaper then the ones in Sydney.? Is it just me or does anyone here noticed this? -

Knore i totally agree with you, IF it was seriously up to me, i would import one from japan myself instead of paying extra to a dealer, but like i said there are other factors that made me buy from a dealer e.g. My parents don't like the idea of paying for something they cannot see at first, and since most of it is there money, why would i want to go against that? AND MINES_DATSUN, yes your right i could have afforded a R32 GTR, but the thing is, i personally like the R33 look more then the R32. Yes the GTR would rip my car apart in pieces, but because my car is newer then the R32, and because of my own personal preference, i rather buy a GtS-t R33 for $25k then an GTr R32 for that price. Its all up to personal preference, and there may be many people here who may have bought the R32 GTr instead of the GTS-t, but like many of the people who have stated here, the market value of a 2nd hand car is what the buyer is willing and able to pay for a car, and what the seller is willing and able to sell for a car. Oh one last thing, Many people keep telling me that i could have bought a heavily modified skyline for my $25k that i bought for my near stock skyline, but i myself wanted to buy a stock skyline was because i wanted the pleasure of slowly modifying my car my OWN way. So please don't go around judging the price of what other people paid for their cars, coz you were wrong, THERE IS a reason although unknown to you why people purchase a car for that particular price When i first bought it i had the thought in mind that i paid a bit too much, but after driving it, i think all the hard work i do to earn $$ and putting it on the car, its all worth it once i sit in the drivers seat and take it for a spin. I'm sure many other people here feel the same. Sorry for the long post once again cheers Guilty -
yepp thats a lip on the front bar...i have that on my S2! Duncun, it has been replaced? lol oh...***....wtf y da hell would anyone replace a boot lock?

MINES_DATSUN i do not agree with what you are saying, yes there are many good deals out there. A value of a car may be the SAME to you, but may be different to another person. Yes there are many skylines out there for 12-15k and then there are those people that have bought it for that price may believe that they have got a bargain, and some others like me who may have paid 25k for my car. When i bought my S2 96 skylines, i had many different types of skylines to choice from. Buyin from dealer, private and importing one myself. But the only reason i bought mine for $25k from a dealer was solely because i wanted to be the first australia driver and because of the kms it had on the clock. Ok you may think the clock could be rigged and yes i agree with that too, because there is that possibility, but the condition of my car and because it had a warranty with it was wat made up my mind. At the time when i bought it i found an exact model, colour skyline as mine but had 50k more kms on the clock and it was a private sale, it was selling for 20,500. I considered that with my parents but we opted to go for the 25k because of the reasons above + many more. So although many of you may think i paid too much for my S2 skyline, i bought it for that price for my own personal reasons, but when you buy a car, the price is not the only think that is considered, there are many other factors included. So dont go saying its the same thing coz its not. Yes it may be the same model of car, but a car is like a person and that it is all different. Each has its own pros and cons. What is a bargain t you may not be for me and wats a bargain to me will not be to someone else. Oh of coz this only applies to 2nd hand cars not brand new cars where we all pay the same amount of money. Sorry for the long post but i felt i needed to get my point across. Cheers Guilty -

just wondering, i have a series II right, but my boot badge doesnt slip to the side like its suppose to? I have to like pull the boot button from the side of my drivers seat to get my boot opened. Is it just me? or is there no key hole in a Series II to open the boot with?
-
On a SII the lights at the front are a bit different..there are 2 little round lights at the front. One being the indicator, the other being the fog light. While on the S1 its that rectangular thingy.
