If your friends mum has owned it since import then I'd say it'd be pretty clean. Just take it in for a road worthy and they should be able to tell you if there is any issues.
It is low and the car does feel a bit sluggish with the foot down.
It was dyno'd at Racepace so roller. I guess I could take it to another dyno but I think I need to find out what the issue is first.
Nah just the $65 to enter but that fee also used to cover one passenger for "pit crew". Not any more though. Now they have to pay their own entry on top.
Can I ask what turbo's those runs were done on?
One thing that slowed me down was hard suspension and low profile tyres but that shouldn't have hindered the mph so much.
Well the car was dyno'd around 18 months ago so anything could have happened between now n then.
The car is running 20psi on -7s with a built motor.
Either your mate has a completely stripped car or he's making more than 325rwkw in a r32 gtr to run 128mph.
Make sure you have cash on you as they don't take cash. I ran on Friday for the 1st time in 2 years and didn't realize. Had to run to the servo to get cash out. $65 to enter and $25 to spectate.
I was next to that bloke getting scrutineered. They didn't let him run cos his tyres were basically rubbing on his guards and he was being a wanker.
Enlarging helps with the returning of the oil from the head under high rpm and g's. I can't remember the original size of the galleries but I think it's something like 8mm and you bore them out to 10 or 12mm. Something along those lines.
Oil pressure should be fine. I've had mine done and it runs like factory.
I also run E85 with no issues. It's safer because there is almost no detonation. You can run a lot more timing and boost with out the engine pinging. Plus it runs cooler that unleaded.
Well that's f**ked.
I'd be getting a thorough inspection on that head by looking at those valves. Also make sure you get all the oil galleries enlarged.
The only thing that will get you response like that is -7's or a small single. How much power were you after again?
As the other guys have said, a precision 6262. It won't give you full boost by 3000rpm but it is pretty damn responsive for a single.
No Point in starting a new thread so I might as well use this one.
I ran at Calder on Friday night and the best I could manage was consistent 12.6's on shitty tyres and old tien coilovers that are as hard as a rock. MPH averaged between 108 and 112.
My car has dyno'd at 325 rwkw and it's a full weight 32 GTR.
What are peoples opinions on the low MPH?
I'm considering stick it back on the dyno and maybe checking for some boost leaks?
