  1. Having never driven any Skyline, I can't give you an answer based on personal experience... however, I'm confident that Supras hold their own on the circuit. And if we're talking about the HillClimb as an example, Mazman was driving a seriously overturboed car for that circuit and STILL beat most of your Skylines. The best way to find out is put your money where your mouths are and get people from both camps to commit to a track / dyno / drag competition.
  2. Come on.. don't hate because we have both looks AND power Only if it's a 32 V spec II. I reckon you'll have to do your pleading to them either on the Supraforums (usernames Teon and Jazz) or on Flickr. Well, this killer whale had NO problems catching and eating up that 34 V spec Yes, and for the trainspotters it was 560 oh, and it drove to and from Canberra.
  3. sorry to stick my oar in if it's not wanted but I thought I'd suggest either of my friends Jamie or Teon - they both recently shot my car for HPI, and one of them *may* be convinced to do this shoot if you asked nicely. Teon Jamie
  4. Dunno if he's on here, but thanks to the beautiful Bayside Blue 34 V spec that was kind enough to give me a run tonight. Not really a fair fight, for him, but good fun nonetheless
  5. Oh I know what you said, but you wouldn't be the first to get a taste of more power and start looking for more and more While dynos are *meant* to be a tuning tool, they can give you a pretty good indication of the way turbos respond, and how much power & where it makes it that your driveline combination is capable of. Turning that into performance on the street, track or dragstrip is the trickier part.. but a car that makes good power on the dyno *should* still be a fast/quick car. I do know what you're talking about... and no matter what your dyno sheet says, it means nothing real-world unless you have the track times or E.T.s to back them up. Hence my keenness to get on the track
  6. Hehe most of us don't build them to be dyno queens.. but a daily driver that makes anything upward of 400 kW at the wheels is always nice to see at a dyno day. And without being a arsehole, you'd have to bring a bit more than 400 to a Supra Club dyno day Hopefully we can organise a track day with both clubs and test these bad boys out!
  7. Good to see things are moving quickly for you! Maybe you'll have it all run in and tuned in time for the Supra Club dyno in (this hasn't been confimed yet, of course) mid January? You can come and show what a GTR is capable of
  8. Make sure you cover any electricals, and especially completely cover any anodised or braided fittings as they will be affected by the degreaser. You can use window cleaner or brake cleaner on those though.
  9. Haha, that's the spirit I suppose it's only fair to warn you that there will be plenty of stirring up of you Skylines though
  10. Guys, I hear from ACT Supra Club El Presidente Ross that you guys are going to be opposite our display... Please do come over and talk rubbish with us - I won't be bringing the beast even if it's back on the road (unless I get too much pressure from everyone ) as I plan to consume many alcohols with the usual suspects.
  11. I kept having to squeeze past your car in my garage, so I got a pretty good look at it numerous times... Very neat and clean. Curious about the MR2 club sticker on the bonnet though
  12. It was a good day - some nice quick cars, sunny and warm (but not too hot), and opportunities to meet and greet some of you ACT Skyline guys & girls. Obviously there was a very small Supra turnout, but that was to be expected - a lot of the likely suspects had cars off the road or unready for action (including myself). However, I'm optimistic for a good turnout from both clubs for a track day or drag day later this year (late November? December?) but our events co-ordinator Teon is looking into that currently. A video from today - the Supra, of course Mazman's burnout
