  1. Oh I didn't see this thread before! What is that Mitsubishi? They look good on that! I think they look bloody huge on the Skylines though.. We got some too
  2. ACT All Japanese Car and Bike Show Hey Everyone, We are putting on the All Japanese Car and Bike show again this year after last years sucess. Event details as follows: Cost: $10 per car/bike, gold coin for spectators Date: Sunday 10th April 2016 Time: Entrants - 8.30am to 10.30am, Spectators from 10am. Event close at 2pm. Where: Thoroughbred Park, Randwick Rd, Lyneham ACT The show is open to all cars and bikes made in Japan, plus those Australian made cars that are the same as a Japan-made model (e.g. R31, Gemini) Note: an exception is granted for Holden badged Geminis and Australian built skylines because the clubs that represent those vehicles do not differentiate. More exceptions may be made at the organisers discretion. The venue requires that you place a drip tray under your car (a flattened out cardboard box will do). If you don't have one, you won't be able to be part of the show. Only certain areas require drip trays, more information and a map to come shortly. Any anti-social behavior will not be tolerated, i.e burnouts, speeding. You will be removed from the venue and subsequently banned from any future events. This event is proudly sponsored by, Rotary Enthusiasts of ACT, Meguairs, Liqui-moly, House of Kolor, Shannon's Insurance and Techworkz. Make sure you note yourself as 'interested' or 'going' so that you can follow the regular updates, as I won't always be able to update each forum. https://www.facebook.com/events/1302677969748332/ Thanks, hope to see you there!
  3. Marques had a Facebook event, but nothing to do with SAU, just a general one. You should try popping along to Shannons Coffee and Cars. If you have your Skyline there I guarantee someone from SAU will strike up a convo and ask you about it. It's a very casual thing with all makes and models. Just for fun and a bit of socialising. It's on Facebook
  4. Marques and Wheels are ones that have been going for years and it makes me sad that no one can be bothered any more. Even if we didn't always have a huge showing, we always made the effort to register that we'd be there and hopefully get a bit of a group on the day.
  5. Aww Tuggers. I'm feeling quite nostalgic about coming back for a visit this weekend! It's been forever!
  6. Such a shame! A lot of us aren't involved anymore but there doesn't seem to be any new young 'uns coming through Did you go for a look Kat?
  7. Marques In The Park and no thread, no mention.... what has become of you SAU ACT???
  8. Well we stopped talking about houses.... your turn for leading an interesting topic of conversation! And go!
  9. I did it just before the tenants moved it, so I can't
  10. I was going to put bamboo down in my rental until I saw the cost.... I decided on new carpet instead! I actually miss carpet haha! Annoying to pay for new plush stuff for tenants too
  11. Sometimes it's not even up to you as the owner.... unit and townhouse complexes may have their strata rules. I thought about that Manuel but I have a f**king yapper and I knew I couldn't get away with keeping her secret if some nosy neighbour knew the owners or something.
  12. We always had the problem with renting in Sydney with a dog. Some places are ok - Breakfast Point is an apartment area that many allow dogs - but it's rare. Even townhouses don't allow them in many cases. We had to get a house This is what sucks about renting - other people's rules and conditions.
  13. Nice friends to have! I hope at least one of them has good views of the NYE fireworks
  14. Congrats on your engagement! The weather's been too hot for me... considered the beach today, yeah.. nah Stuck with the aircon haha. I might take Eva for a quick dip in one of the inlets tomorrow when the long weekend crowds have gone.
  15. No, just a giant rip off lol. Can't buy a house for less than $900k-$1mil where we were living in Sydney... and no it wasn't anywhere fancy, it was Parramatta ffs I agree with getting into the market but I think you still have to see a remote bit of value in what you are buying.... that's why I'd prefer so spend $500k on the same thing in Canberra or Wollongong or somewhere. Not so easy if you work and commute in Sydney though
  16. I think the thing is you have to look at unit or townhouse, not a $475k house. Work your way up. I feel like this is a lot easier in Canberra than Sydney (where I think average unit prices are about $400-500k lol!) Sydney's just ridiculous. I don't know how anyone ever moves out of home. Even if you manage to snag a cheapie unit way out in the sticks, you have to think about your commute. At least you don't have that problem in Canberra!
  17. LOL some auctions in Sydney, they actually hold in Mandarin.
  18. Yeah going really well! She sleeps all night now YAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY haha I was living near Carlingford but am down the Gong now. The market was too crazy in Sydney so we bought down here instead. We're right next to the CBD and 4 mins from the beach... I love it!!!
  19. Whereabouts in Sydney do you live Manuel?
  20. Welcome back! I no longer has a Skyline either Instead, I drive a dirty Toyota Chaser.
  21. Hmmm I think my old car's for sale but not by the person I sold it to. Anyone seen it in Canberra lately?
  22. Spotted a white R32 with black rims on a trailer (similar looking to Kat's) on Northbourne at about 3.30pm Saturday.
  23. Hahaha cranky mum lyfe yo! btw, I've had your membership here for bloody ages but the stickers I thought were being ordered did not happen so I'm just gonna send it. Sticker can come separately (unless you want a big one instead).
  24. f**k off! (unless you didn't mean me, then carry on)
