  4. it would be the Jatco RE4R01A gearbox for those interested 4spd auto with overdrive These boxes are a direct replacement in R32 and R33 ... For installation into the R32 you just have to swap over the speedo drive gear from the r32 box into this box as the R33 style speedo is digital (electronic) instead of analog (cable)

  7. Well times are tough ... the end of my rental lease is coming up and the agent has informed me that the owner is going to knock the house down and develop the block ... and I am having a hard time trying to find another rental place with the ammount of stuff I have I will have to downsize big time ... so time to sell a couple cars ... Up for sale now is my skyline ... Model :- 1992 HR32 GTS Nissan skyline Engine :- RB20 DE (non turbo motor ) (250,000km on motor mainly highway km from previous owner travelling from QLD back to canberra for university) I will be completely honest the engine is a bit low on compression across the board but it starts and runs fine ... has not broken down on me ever since owning the car and is reliable enough to jump in and drive up to QLD or down to melbourne any day of the week regular oil and filter changes every 5000km with 10w 40 oil ... Car has no oil leaks from anywhere Intake :- Pod filter with adaptor Gearbox :- R33 GTS-T series 2 auto gearbox + torque converter ( stage 2 shift kit installed and has just had a recent gearbox service ) less than 100,000km on gearbox Exhaust :- 6 into 2 into 1 Coby extractors , 3" highflow cat , 2.5" catback exhaust system also have a 2 1/4 " system for rego Wheels :- 17x7 " SSA wheels currently on car Suspention :- Pedders suspention all round , nolathane bush kit fitted , pedders rear swaybar , japanese front strut brace Brakes :- standard rotors with new pads front and rear Extras that come with the car :- 1 extra headlight and 2 indicators to fix the minor front end tap by (previous owner) hardly noticeable unless you really look Front and rear 5 stud hub conversion with DBA crossdrilled and slotted rotors all round 2 sets of 4 piston calipers (R32 gtst and R33 GTR calipers) 1 set of 2 piston rear calipers 1 set of standard R32 GTS-T wheels (no tyres) I also have a full BN sports Blister widebody kit that I have for the R32 which is brand new in gel coat never been fitted which I will sell for an extra $2000 ontop of the cost of the car as the kit is worth over $3500 there is only 3 of these kits in the country ... cost to import his kit from japan is close to $4500-5000 AUD The car will come with am ACT roadworthy certificate and rego till 10/2010 for the happy new owner I Will sell the car for $6000 with the extras and the kit will be $2000 ontop so for $8000 you can get a widebody car perfect for an RB25DET conversion or drive it as is And also as a testimate to the cars reliability these photos of the car were taken from my last trip down to geelong in victoria I am a mechanic in the trade so I make sure the car is well looked after and serviced every 5000km Perfect for a P plater or someone that just wants a good reliable daily driver here are some pics of the kit here is what is looks like on a couple other cars

  22. As a mechanic I see there point on carburettored cars ... as they do tend to get fuel saturation over time due to being directly above the carby ... On a fuel injected car however I do not see this as a problem as the fuel is injected at the manifold and not directly under the airfilter like on a carburettored car and if they missfire it doesn't fill the intake with fuel mixture it only enters a metered amount at a time due to how a fuel injector works In my experience Gas vehicles with the regular vapour style with a converter and mixer setup on them are far worse even with panel filters ... I had one at my workplace crank crank crank and not fire first go then switched the ignition off ... ( in this time the whole intake tract is full of gas ) then you go to crank it over again and what happens all that gas in the air tract ignites and sets the airfilter on fire and goes off like a bomb and tends to blow airboxes apart ...
