  2. might swing past and take a look after I go to the ACT all ford day at old parliment house ... Finally my Project Turbo laser is going and boosting strong so much infact it keeps hitting boost cut ... LOL ... and the car is meant to be on stock boost of 9psi yet boost cut is at 15 ... im a bit baffled
  3. Why would this car need to be engineered am I missing something ???
  4. When doing engine swaps alot of people only think it is the labour and engine cost's involved ... This is not true a few other things to add to the equasion * All Fluids (engine , gearbox if auto , power steering , coolant ) * New filters ( oil , fuel , air filters) * All belts including timing belt + tensioner and idler easier to do when motor is out * Various gaskets * waterpump * New thermostat * Coolant hoses and vaccume / breather hoses depending on condition and hard to get too hoses (under intake manifold ) * Welch plugs depending on condition of motor and age and if the motor has been sitting for a while Just a few things to consider ... as added insurance
  5. check all classifieds
  6. Whirring / howling (supercharger) sound is an over tightened timing belt a squeel noise could be a tensioner or idler bearing on it's way out or an accesory belt not adjusted properly ... I would be checking these things out as an over tight belt drastically reduces timing belt life ... and causes undue strain on the idler and tensioner bearings and also increases rotational friction
  7. Saterday night 8pm show was awesome loved it to bits ... had some good humor and lots of cool stuff ... especially loved the heat changing paint that the Focus stunt team cars were painted in ... They were dark grey then went into this big heat booth thing and came out white .... ( AWESOME ) Also loved the 1.3 million dollar rolls royce Also took some pics of the GTR in all of its glory ... love that car I also took part in the Harley davidson Dyno drags and on the dyno I ran an 11.18 second 1/4 mile not bad for my first go stuffed the start and could have been quicker again with practice those bikes were heaps cool ... a little bit different to the 09 Suzuki GSXR 750 that I ride ...
  8. Im going to the session tommorow arvo should be good .. stayin overnight in syd too
  9. You can try ... ABS in fyshwick for stuff like this if they dont have in stock they can order you one in
  10. NTW do sell to public ... I should know I used to work for them ... they just don't fit the tyres
  11. for federals go to National tyre wholesales in fyshwick they dont fit tyres tho but sell them for like $100 per tyre for federal 595's depends on size tho
  12. Quick question ... who built your RB30DE setup ? im looking to build an RB30DE (non turbo) in future and was after a bit of knowlege on the build as I would like to build the motor myself but need to know about the machining of the block and head etc... timing belt tensioners , timing belt , oil pump etc...
  13. hey cejay where bouts is this brodburger joint ... I might come for a cruise with ya if ya keen PM me
  14. For anyone needing a stock Catback exhaust to clear a defect I can lend you mine for a fee of $50 to clear a defect for a day if anyone needs one PM me Suits R32 and R33
  15. I had that tinny crap sound ended up being that my stock nissan catalytic converter was stuffed and broken apart ... (catless and hollowed out cat's are bad for this resonance noise around the 3500- 3700 rpm area aswell ) So to fix that issue My new exhaust system consists of the following on my R32 N/A RB20DE Coby 6 into 2 into 1 with 2.5" outlet extractors 3" Catco Highflow catalytic converter 2.5" catback exhaust with single muffler and a canon muffler @ the rear ... I had that issue really bad before I replaced my cat and found it to be blocked and a week later it broke apart into big chunks and allmost completely blocked up the exhaust flow ... so I pulled it all off and now fixed it all up and sounds really deep and has that good skyline note about it ...
  16. Ended up getting a couple Kumho's on the rear on my 17's for $50 fitted and balanced for a pair from Jax quickfit in queenbeyan Just payed off the skyline today in full ... now 100% own the car and it feels great ... So will save up a bit more cash and get 4x 205/55 R16's to go on the stock GTS-T wheels and I will do the 5 stud conversion with the bigger brakes will be heaps better with good brakes
  17. cool well i will c you guys soon ... leaving shortly
  18. Anyone out tonight ?
  19. Here is my stats ... 1992 Nissan Skyline R32 GTS 250,000km on the odometer RB20DE Auto 4 spd (R33 GTS-t box) Pod filter with adapter on stock AFM Coby Extractors with 2.5" outlet Catco 3" Hiflow cat converter (restricted 2.25" exhaust with big twin mufflers for rego) normally runs a nice straight through 2.5" system with single muffler and Cannon @ rear Around town on 98 octane Currently I get around 430-450km from a tank (I think I got slightly better economy with the straight through exhaust on it around 450-470km but rego dont like it rather loud although last time it was tested the car had no catalytic converter installed) I am also not 100% sure on my ignition timing as it feels fairly retarded @ the moment but will have to check that out with a better timing light
  20. You should take some pics of your conversion and post them up ... I will probbably do the same and put up a DIY thread
  21. I am just about to do this conversion myself aswell .. I have Front R32 GTS-T hubs 5 stud with DBA crossdrilled and slotted rotors with R33 GTR calipers (painted gold) with Stock R32 GTST brake lines Rear has R32 GTS-T twin piston calipers and DBA cross drilled and slotted rotors @ the rear with Stock R32 GTST brake lines I will be using Stock R32 GTS-T wheels 16 x 6.5 " with 40 offset with 205/55 R16 rubber Keeping everything looking Standard ... less hastles by the cops and will be a much nicer car to drive ... 8 pistons @ front and 4 pistons @ rear vs stock 2 pistons in front and 2 pistons in rear ... much larger discs (more contact area) Shall be awesome and make a huge difference ...
  22. Put my seat back into the car today ... still stinks but hopefully will disapate with some car cologne stuff ... Also I put the bottom back in first ... and then squeezed my hand in between the seat to do put the 10mm bolts back in ... pretty easy
  23. Dry ice is easy go 2 boc gas in fyshwick with a small esky and fill it up but don't fully seal it up cos it let's off gas good 4 sound deadener removal aswell
  24. There is a place in fyshwick next to capital automotive in kembla st (across from class locksmiths) that does these kind of jobs ... seen a few luxury type cars in there at times getting small dints and stuff repaired
  25. Need some 205/55 R16 tyres to go on my stock R32 wheels so that I can complete my 5 stud conversion with bigger brakes ... Currently I can get federals for $100 to 140 per tyre depending on type (not including fitting and balance) Anyone know of any cheaper tyres + fitment and balance
