My gf's business partner has just got a Calais V with the new cylinder de-activation and this thing sounds like V6 Alloytec, bit disappointing.

I put an Apexi panel filter in mine around 2 months ago and replaced the Ryco (still brand new) one that was already in there. Other than a very slight increase in induction/turbo noise around 3.5-4K RPM +, I can't tell any other differences. Mind, mine is completely stock and I haven't even fitted the catback yet!!!

LOL! I got the idea from you initially in the SA wasteland iirc. I did 3 light coats of the Metalcast Ground Coat (silver), then 2 light coats of blue followed by a heavier coat of blue as instructed on the can. Having looked at them today they look better (a little lighter) in more sunlight like the LHR photo with wheel off (those photos taken yesterday as the sun went down). Like the Mrs said, had I tried to match the nuts, it would have been too much of the light blue and take too much away from the wheels. I didn't dremel anything, just cleaned it all up and then masked off with tape and newspaper. I've seen that gb, those gold passivated rotors look pretty tasty.....

I agree. I think even for RBR with the expertise of Adrian Newey and the wealth of knowledge acquired from F1 in the past it shouldn't be too hard. Same for Ferrari/McLaren they'll have data from the past as well as wind tunnel data that'll speed this process up. Ground Effects, if this is want you want to call isn't something new.....

I'm going to be surprised too if they don't get banned. Having said that though if they're not banned (and it looks as though Ferrari might be thinking it won't) I can't see it taking a full season for outfits like Ferrari/McLaren/BMW and RBR to catch up at least in the diffuser department.

True. I don't want super low or rattle spec 8-10Kg springs, just down 25mm with 4Kg (I think I read somewhere factory ecr33 springs are 4Kg????) jobs that aren't going to f**k the camber
