  1. Abo Bob: Has the email gone out (not trying to harass, just want to check it hasn't been caught in one of numerous spam filters ). Lucien.
  2. May as well save the little bit extra considering all the extra benefits. Its only about $500 (extra) at the end of the day. LW.
  3. Wow, hail? Where in Sydney? Sorry to hear that LW.
  4. This happens on my (dead stock) R32 GT-R too. I assume the mixture is a little rich. Actually I kind of like the popping Edit: And you can get smallish power and economy improvements with a good tune (for local fuel) even on a fairly stock car. LW.
  5. Yeah, I have a 4 on my car as well, in the exact same spot, hence the question. LW.
  6. Completely off topic, but I just noticed the stick under the rear-view mirror of the R32 AUTECH Skyline (in the scans posted -- see http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/at...achmentid=28810 -- its a white 4 on a red background). What is the signficane of the sticker? LW.
  7. That's what people do for the Greddy, but my understanding is the Cusco can't be opened? LW.
  8. http://www.apexi-usa.com/electronics_safc.asp Its a cheaper way of adjusting the Air/Fuel ratio. It piggybacks on the stock ECU. However, it is inferior to the PowerFC for a number of reasons (do a search and you should find some more info).
  9. The baffle is meant to aid atomisation: ie. to aid the seperation of air/gas from oil/crud. Edit: I have been asking about this in regards to the Cuscos too. Nobody seems to know, and its not obvious from the Cusco website. LW.
  10. I think it also depends on what the car is used for. If its a daily driver, having the car off the road when something breaks can be expensive (towing, car hire, time, etc) and extremely inconvenient. Most people don't have the time, resources or expertise to pull down their own engines which means they have to pay a workshop. Add to that if its their only car they probably will want it done quickly which adds to the expense. If its just a second car/dyno queen/whatever then it might be a much more acceptable choice. LW.
  11. Probably stolen as well LW.
  12. I wouldn't agree with that. I don't think anyone has said its "OK". However, "most of us" live in the real world and understand our cars are reasonably high theft risks and that there will always be some little sh!t wanting to steal someone else's property. If you drive a desirable car, but don't insure, don't have an alarm, and park in a very high risk area, it doesn't take a genious to work out what the end result might be. As I have already stated, Glebe has one of the highest theft and break in rates in Sydney. It also has a lot of public/government housing and a "youth problem", particularly among the local aboriginal community. It sucks it happened -- having some take your property is just so low -- but some might say it was at least a foreseeable possibility. LW.
  13. Give these guys a go for a price on the Jet: http://www.mikimarketing.com/ LW.
  14. Bad luck dude. Can't help but think you were playing with fire by parking in the inner west with no insurance and no alarm. Glebe has one of the highest theft and break in rates in all of Sydney I live in Leichhardt, so I will keep my eyes peeled. LW.
  15. Are you selling the vents? LW.
  16. No, I tend to look for second hand items since that's what I can afford. I don't disagree that there are some deals to be had, but given that there seems to be a lot more people (outside Japan) interested in buying from Yahoo JP the deals seem fewer and father between than 12 months ago. But as I said, some of it is probably due to what I am looking at. For instance, I have no interest in Japanese suspension parts (IMHO, the are often far too hard for our local conditions). LW.
  17. No, your RB20 didn't beat the RB25Neo, your car beat your mate's car. The R34 GT-T weighs a not inconsiderate amount more than an R32 GTS-t. LW.
  18. GroundRun: Just to clarrify, $285 fitted is for what windscreen and what model/spec of Skyline? LW.
  19. Maybe its me, but I am not entirely bowled over by the "cheap prices". There is no doubt the range is impressive -- if repetitive (ie. same sellers all the time) -- but a lot of the items are maybe 10 or 20 percent cheaper than buying from Nengun/Greenline/et al, and by the time you add in Yahoo fees, agent fees, shipping fees, customs and duty (and waiting awhile) its not always worth the hassle. Perhaps I am just looking for the wrong parts Edit: Troy -- what are you planning on for that little racer? LW.
  20. That's rather interesting. Did you buy the car with this mod, or fit it after? If afterwords, did you notice any gains? Conventional wisdom suggests that an RB26 plenum on an RB20 is a big no-no. LW.
  21. BMT: Do you know if the Cusco's have a baffle to aid atomisation? Nobody seems to know. :-/ LW.
  22. Bump. Looking to replace the rear windscreen moulding for my R32 GT-R. Unfortunately you have to buy it as a kit from Nissan which is $400-odd! Anyone had any luck with aftermarket ones? LW.
  23. You have to setup an account on Yahoo JP: non-JP accounts don't work. LW.
