  1. haha no way! i remember it did do a fully-hecktic FWD burnout in the movie. looking a bit rough these days tbh. check out the mouldy engine.
  2. no shit? lol. the guy would have been mad keen to cut some laps too. let-down! in my opinion, C210 skyline brakes, let's face it, are shit. they fade quickly and the pedal feel is spongy. upgrading would be a must. it would be fine as a tough streeter though. like if you didnt want to rape the pants off it everywhere and just enjoy it for being a cool car.
  3. yea i think the p76 is way cool. the first V8 i ever drove was one of them. i was 16. terrified. and loving it. lol
  4. only 1250? sorry bro i thought they'd be double that, given the size of them. i stand corrected! i havent bid yet but tempted. got 8 days to make up my mind i guess lol.
  5. yea no go-fast bits except for the 4.4L V8 in the front lol. these engines were designed for a car that is twice the weight so i reckon it'd go pretty hard. highly considering this for a track thrasher. havent bid yet. just "hmmmmmm..."-ing a lot!
  6. im currently converting my whole front end to S13 silvia at the moment. it's a lot of mucking around! note: you can also use silvia brake upgrades then too. ive almost finished the conversion. just need to put some more money into it. when it is done ill be writing up how to do it. no point telling you right now as i dont know how to finish it just yet.
  7. yea dont get me wrong, the car is incredible!
  8. but now at a slightly less ridiculous price. carsales link
  9. fantastic! and i'd be excited regardless of this write-up lol.
  10. thank man. yea found that one a while back. so awesome how much work he's put into it! the LCAs he's made from scratch is exactly what i just bought but mine are adjustable. and where he's left the thread is exactly the stage that im up to! lol. on another note, the fuel pump arrived today! installing tomorrow
  11. 044 pump should arrive this week. the possibility of a running engine once it's installed is quite high :-)
  12. the same way i rebuilt my clutch master. didnt even know how they worked until i pulled it apart lol. easy home job. but cause we're talking brakes here, i totally understand if people wanna leave their lifeline in the hands of a pro.
  13. update: bought some adjustable LCAs and they will work but still need another 50mm of length. so... ny mate who's been helping me with the car knows someone with a cnc machine and he gunna make up longer versions of the adjustment tubes for us. that's happening monday. the hybrid datsun/silvia adjustable castor arms are getting done then too. even then the castor arms wont be a straight fit to the LCAs. so a bracket will be made up which bolts to the LCAs and the the castor arms will bolt to that. when everything is actually in place and working, i will make a step by step recipe on how to do it. firstly ill say that if you want to do this, please know in mind that it isnt cheap or very straight forward! they pay off is gunna be better handling (hopefully), better brake upgrade possibilities, parts availability, extra lock with big tyres, and fitment. we've done some calculations and the wheel will be flush with the guard :-) ill let you know how everything goes. until those things are fabricated there isnt too much to do at the moment. so i fitted my stepper gauges from the silvia into the datto. i removed the instrument surround and tech screwed them in to the very left. they are hanging from the top in front of the clock (that's never worked) and the super high-tech warning display. the wires were fed through a gap above the instrument panel and down behind the dash. nice and hidden and stealth like. looks great! note: grab an angle grinder and cut the excess of the screws that stick out. as they will foul on the dash when you're trying to get the instrument surround back in. and you will not have to cut a hole for the wires to go though, it'll just bend up enough without even any force. the fuel system is next. will probably chuck a Bosch 044 below the tank. unsure if the standard fuel lines have the flow we need but this motor isnt too insane so will just have to see. there's plenty of room in the stone guard to add a braided line if need be. till next week, have a good one :-)
  14. can someone hurry up and buy this already :-p bargain imo.
  15. how much for bonnet man? and need indicator stick assembly and a steering wheel. im in bris. will pick-up. pm please :-)
  16. thanks for the kind words gerry! that grill is sick. tying not to advertise that mine is a turbo though. going for kinda sleeper kinda not. socrates, would suit your car to a tee wouldn't it??
  17. cheers brother. yea flanges are on the cards. there's few things i hate more than cooler pipes blowing off! so annoying.... none of the pipes are hard against each other so a bit of super clutch kicking engine twist shouldnt be a problem. there's actually more silicone than metal!
  18. haha cheers man! these are one of the best cars to own. so much fun!
  19. i had a crack at doing the intercooler pluming myself today. pretty bloody proud of how it turned out. i just cut up the bits from the silvia's FMIC kit and made it work. all i had to buy was those big 90deg silicone joiners and that big u-bend. i had no idea how to do this so i just winged it. never used a grinder before either lol. this was a 40 minute job! visualizing the intake side- visualizing the turbo side- the results! - the leftover piping from the silvia kit. ridiculous! - just need to buy some more clamps and the piping is done. oh and have to pull apart and file the edges and shavings ect. left to do: -mount rad and FMIC properly (just sitting there at the moment) -sort lca's and silvia/datsun hybrid castor arms. -fuel system -tailshaft -speedo -battery relocation -remote oil filter and catch can -throttle cable peace.
  20. hey gordie, where can i find pictures of all your 210's? would love to see your coupes.
  21. cheers for the info mate! well im using the s13 coilovers, knuckles, hubs and brakes that already have sumitomo calipers fitted which is the bonus. ill see if i can borrow an s14 LCA for a test fit. if i cant find one long enough, im going to have to buy adjustable ones so i can wind it right out. once i get the LCA sorted ill be able to tell if the tie rods can be adjusted to the right length or not. the tie rod ends look the same on both C210 and s13 so compatibility with the knuckle shouldnt be an issue. i have adjustable castor arms from the s13 as well. as where the C210 castor arm blots to the LCA is different, im going to have to cut the C210 one in half and tap a thread on the end of the bit that bolts to the car. then remove the car end of the s13 one and screw the modded datsun half into it. does that make sense? lol. thanks again Gordie.
  22. have a look in my build thread. in a recent post i show how easy it is to make s13 ones work in the rear. when i figure out the recipe for the fronts i will be letting everyone know dont worry.
  23. gday fellas! hope your weekend is off to a flying start just halfway through converting the front of my C210 to S13 coilovers and knuckles. the silvia lower control arms are too short and give the car a very aggressive positive camber!! just wondering if you guys could measure yours over the weekend for me? lets go with from the hole where you bolt it to the car to the pin that goes in the knuckle.
