  1. For Sale: my L24 motor and 5sp gearbox. motor is a reco from 1990. i swear for it's reliablilty. the thing never let me down in the 2.5 years that i daily drove it. would take it around australia without a sweat. motor is stock and was treated like it should. the motor wasnt used for burnouts or anything stupid cause it's not a performance engine and was driven accordingly. the motor is stock, complete, and running. will throw in coil and balast resistor and radiator as well. 5sp g/box is currently attached to the engine and would prefer to keep it that way. but will separate if i have to. it has an Exeedy 'sports tuff' heavy duty single with only around 10,000ks on it so works perfect. notable note: going from 3rd to 2nd makes a crunch when you put it in. never really bothered me though. all other gears work perfect. no noises. never clutch dumped. buying this stuff will be helping me finish mandie. which isnt far off! throw me your offers people. im in brisbane :-)
  2. man what is it like only in the last few years? swear there was heaps more 70's cars on the road like 5 years ago. there were also heaps of XF falcons too. but where have they gone?!?
  3. man i;d love to have all our 210s in a row one day. that would be the ultimate cruise! classic skyline nationals is this year yea??
  4. fark bro.. that thing is tidy as! ive got pretty hardcore straight bumper and black interior envy right now.
  5. f**k yea bro that's sick. do you get any bind?
  6. fwoah id tell them to eat a dick at that price. or at least see if they thought to perhaps call you if a simple wiring job was gunna fetch that sort of price?
  7. not that you would, but that is so clean you could eat off it. good work bro :-)
  8. ive stuck it out for years keeping my 210 looking stock and tasteful. but now i want it to fly. it's been my dream for toooo many years and the time has finally come. im going for it. and Factory 5 is totally right. being able to jump on the local parts forum and have a huge selection of modern parts for your old car is awesome.
  9. oh is it? sneaky sneaky lol.. they do look a lot nicer than the 20 or 25 covers.
  10. just when you thought Kid K's c110 coupe couldnt get any more ridiculous, he went and put an rb26 in it! epic, epic car....
  11. welcome to the 210 club mate where are ya?
  12. this is what it's all about! love your work lads
  13. yup that is what i meant cheers. in my experience, that did work with my HSD coilovers lol. another thing you could try is see if R32 rear tops fit. that would be a lot neater and probably better quality too.
  14. for the rear: you can just take the datsun tops off the standard shock and replace them with the s13 ones. coilovers are gunna be stiff. that's just the way it is. i use coilovers in my daily driver and i dont mind it. it's up to how much you can tolerate lol.
  15. 1. dont drill! just change the tops :-) 2. how did you do the fronts??? im still waiting on slack mates to take shit to fabrication for me. fml lol
  16. you gotta be happy with that...
  17. wow that panel looks the goods! umm time saver tips i can give you so you dont have to figure it out yourself: -on the engine cross-member on the datsun, the engine mount should be holes. you want to turn them into slots. starting from the hole and going up. this way the engine mounts attached to the engine will slide down the slots and rest on the holes. -the engine will sit pretty high and there's a certain chance that bonnet wont close because of the plenum that goes over the top of the RB. you'll want a front facing plenum. or modify the RB mounts so it sits lower. but not too low or it will be sitting on the x-member. -use an s13 gearbox x-member. you have to drill one hole (you'll see) and it will fit. the datsun one does fit but makes the box sit hard-up against one side of the tunnel. not cool. -you'll need a custom tailshaft made. -with a custom alloy radiator (50mm thick), you have enough room to fit up to a 800x600x80 intercooler inside the engine bay so you dont have to cut holes in your sexy ride. refer to my build thread for pics. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/251107-yay-got-my-pics-back/page__st__40 that's all i can think of right now but im a little sleepy. any questions about anything, dont hesitate to ask bro. we're all more than happy to help.
  18. also i have gone the RB route. it's bloody easy!
  19. very jealous my friend. sweet ride! this is how ive done my gauges. i screwed them into the top of the instrument surround panel and they hang there quite nicely. wires for the stepper gauges are all tucked behind the dash.
  20. looks mean bro!! the million dollar question is though... how does it drive??
  21. ricky, get as many GO PRO cameras as you can find.
  22. well said ricky. i was seriously considering buying this. i even found someone to do mod plates and roadworthy once the rust was out. but unfortunately as i have put all my money into my coupe, i couldnt pull 3g out of my ass in a week. pretty guttered. my dream was to use it as a daily and keep mandie nice. if i didnt like the v8 i could just chuck mandie's old L24 back in no sweat, and make a nice stocker. i called the bloke to ask a few questions about this thing and ended up talking to the guy for a bit over an hour about C210s and what not. he's a proper nice bloke and you could almost say he lives, breaths, and shits datsun skylines lol. mad enthusiast! it was really cool to share ideas and stories about these things. oh and this is the guy who originally built the ex d-limo/ now xramjetx's blue 210 sedan. he was pretty stoked to hear it was still around. so who bought it? anyone here?
