Yay Got My Pics Back!

@ mags: next year is more likely but if it's going by the time the entry forms are due for this year then i might have to pop down. road trip!! before xmas i wouldnt have agreed with you about those seats. but after driving from brisbane, to north GC, to south GC, to toowoomba, to murwillumbah, then back to bris over 2 days, i was pretty keen to get the hell out of similar seats in my silvia!! i usually just drive around brisbane like to and from work. house to house sort of thing, and feel pretty comfy in them tbh. after 4 hours of drift you feel pretty crap from them as well. but that's some physical shit right there. this is the sil's seats: i think it's one of those things like stiff spring rates. you just take the pain cause you love it! @dennis: thanks for the heads-up man. ill see what i can get away with street-wise. at the least, ill use them for track days and when the car is on show. paint-matching harnesses will look totally freaking hot on show!! today i spent the whole morning on google trying to find out any info possible about this RB conversion. there is literally fck-all literature about this swap. i looked at build threads all over the world today and most people either just say that they wanna do it. or ask people about and no one knows shit-all. or talk about it for a while and then just say something like "ok so i got the engine in", without explaining the process at all. ie. step by step, pictures, parts required/used, electrical ect. so im gunna try and do exactly that with my conversion. so anyone can do it! kinda like how i did with my auto-manual conversion. just write my experience exactly how i see it. and how i got the job done properly. as i saw in forums a lot today, there are a lot of people who want to this conversion but dont just because they dont know how. so i think this could really benefit some noobs out there. im going to do as much of this as i can myself. document everything. noob style. if this car is possible then anything is possible!!! http://speedhunters....10-skyline.aspx boldly going where ive never gone before. loving it. -

was almost going to sell this to a certain forum member but at the end of the day, i couldnt bring myself to do it. sorry forum member!!! xo i think i just love this car too much lol. I'm moving into a house in a few weeks that will either have a huge area under the house (queenslander style), or a decent backyard/shed. once ive settled in, the mighty engine swap begins!! this is the rb that i've got. yea it needs a little bit of tidying-up (wiring and polish). best thing about it is that it pumps 300hp on the current shit tune with a stock comp and i already own it so WIN! progress has been abandoned for a while as the construction workers behind my units 'accidentally' knocked down my carport and it is now conveniently a storage area for them. kunts! so mandie has been in storage for a few months. oh and another thing about that, mandie was actually in that carport at the time and was almost a pancake/ severely fkd. LUCKILY, she was pulled out unharmed. i was so furious, that i was beyond the point of yelling abuse and was just shaking. another funny thing was that only 2 weeks earlier, i sent a nice long and professional e-mail to the developer saying how fkn rare the car was and would hate to have anything bad happen to it with the construction work and vehicles in such close proximity and all. i requested that the car could be put in storage in one of their underground car-parks (they own like 10 places in the street) but he refused and said they will take due care. now that this happened, he has put the car in storage for me haha! anyway... found some orange harnesses! by driftworks: $235 from option1garage also, Bride style low max seats: $550 each from the same place. i dont mind that they dont have 'bride' on them. if anyone knows of better then do tell! another cosmetics idea: on that c210 thread from the UK that i posted up, i noticed the guy had a golf mkI front splitter. thought it looked pretty cool so im gunna look into that. Mags, i had a read of the ozdat link. very cool stuff thank-you! can anyone tell me if that stuff is all applicable to the c210? like, are they the same?? looking forward to having a space to get this car done and most of all, getting this car done! expect lots of questions to be asked in a few weeks time <3 cam -
such a beautiful car man. i totally get what you mean too. that's why i own both a c210 coupe and an s13.

i lost count of the amount of times my dad told me "cars are a money pit!" and "you'll never get that money back when you sell it" and called cars some financial term for modified cars to try and put me off. no matter what anyone said, my passion still maintained it's momentum and is showing no signs of slowing down. funnily enough, after 8 years my dad gets it. he even came to a drift practice to watch me and loved it. awesome moment!

hey man i liked the munji on the straight then linking the following right and left. it bakes pretty hard! what tyres on the rear? i want smokey ones like that for my sil.
-
im pretty sure that a guy at all-jap auto parts here in brissy owns one of the c30 sedans. when i spoke to him, he was fairly convinced it was the only one in AUS.
-
i think that is a broad-slide? i remember in my first car which was a c210 sedan, i had really awesome tyres on the front and shit ones on the back at all times. it would always hang the ass out way before it would understeer. so maybe some good quality wide rubber on the front will help you out! oh and LSD for the win.
-
haha with my 210, i gave up on trying to do burnouts pretty quickly as power is non-existant. One night in a quiet industrial estate with the boys i joined the drift train and managed some pretty decent 80km/h entries! but the exit end of the drift was fkn hairy as there is about 10 degrees play in the steering wheel. I rejoined the audience for health and safety reasons.

1978 Gc210 Datsun Sedan
Silent Shadow replied to xramjetx's topic in Classic & Vintage (1950's-1980's)
wow seriously... Why start an argument on spring rates? And secondly, then go and throw personal attacks? 2 words: c*nt act. Lol. This guy does not derserve a single thing you said to him dennis. Please dont forget that cars are fun! Woo! cars!! And also, our classic skyline community is very small and the only way it will survive is if we're tight as f*ck. Not flaming noobs! I drive my sil with 8kg springs and dampers set half-way. Pretty rough ride i agree but i like it rough meo-w! If you put stiff suspension in, you deal with it. And more often than not, love it. Personal preference imo. Nice car man. I would have bought it no question but i didnt have anywhere to put the damn thing. Lucky boy! We should hit maleny/cono once you get the suspension done mate
