  2. remember rb20s maybe making that kind of power but thats on a 6cy.. not a 4cy, you would still have similar boost response with a vg30et turbo. and a hell of alot better mid rance and top end.
  3. any oil feed line for a turbo has to have a restricter in. Any. Best to just grab the oil lines and splitters off a l20et setup. And for the oil pump. Either install the springs from a l20et pump into the l24 unit. and run the higher base pressure. Or order from nissan a L28et Automatic Oil pump.
  4. i think he was just counting the indicator plug itself. As that is removable.
  5. mother of god dude, the rb20det turbo is smaller than the factory fj20det. The closest match to a factory one is a vg30 unit. The rb turbo wont be making any kind of power and will run out of puff quick. looks good tho The lag problem with your other turbo is having the excessivly large exhasut housing, you only need a .69 for the kind of power most people need. anything over 1.0ar is 800+hp

  10. Hunt down some VG30et injectors 270cc's . They will be better suited to the higher compression of the l24 and displacement. Ive had them running on my l20et. Work well just a bit of AFM adjustment
  11. Very nice install. Nicly hidden. Ah higher compression Fj's so strong and love to boost. Where did you run the piping, ? Up thru the aitbox tray and battery tray ?
  12. Ive heard everything great about the megasquirt systems. Id love one. And i can get one landed for about 390 here, and assembled and tested for a doz beer. Great new thing that they are running on these are the self tunning system, You need a wideband O2 sensor. Tunes itself to a good base tune. The downside, and this is the main reasion why i will not go this way, The support is limited here in NZ. All tunners cannot/dont know how to tune megasquirts. Only american tunners have great knowledge. Ill be saving for a LEM g3. OR A TEC3. Im deffinitly turning towards the new Link g3. due to detialed tunning, Suport here in NZ. cost is $1300inc NZ$
  13. the L20et ecu doesnt have a speed cut, Actaully the speed cut is setup in the back of the speedo. with a contact pin/switch, Its just a matter of removing it. With the L serries Injection, (eccs) its primitive, Alot of people have tryed to install SAFC's and over kind of fuel adjustment items With no luck. The problem lies with the unstable Tach feed from the ecu/coil. Most need a strong stable feed. 90% dont have. Searching Hybridz will bring up the results A few are out there that can coap with this type of system I acutally saw one on ebay a while ago that was deisned for L6 serries

  18. Go talk to nissan them-selfs. Dont run off or relly 100% on internet information. According to City Nissan parts department here in wellington, They have a listing for a factory l24et.
  19. There are factory released l24et's. Check with the nissan's listings. Quite intresting.
  20. brakes are easy to upgrade without dr30 struts. Just use Hilux 4pot calipers, wtih 280z hubs. And a rotor to match. Im in the middle of doing this myself
  21. keep the r30... much better platform to work with, More classic styles, and lighter chassie
  22. looks good, the core doesnt look like a good flowing one tho
