If using splitfires i can run .8 and 1.1 gap, which should i run if im chasing performance, im not worried about fuel. ?

R33 serII, i have- -Full 3" zost -K&N filter -Apexi front mount -Turbotech manual boost controller set to 9-10psi -Split fire coils (installing friday) -Nismo Fuel pump (installing friday) --------------------------------------------------------- I want to run 14 psi but ofcouse on 12+psi the ecu cuts out. Whats the cheapest say; chip, safc, fuel cut defender, etc anythign like that that will allow me to run 14 psi without probs and cut out/misfires. I will stop at 14psi so i need cheapest mod possible? what do you guys suggest?

I had the same problem, if its pretty stock car with stock ecu, then its your ecu cutting out(for safety reasons i think). In my r33 i can only run 10psi without cutting out, after that it "misfires". -heaps of people on this forum told me to run 9psi and the car would run better and quciker, and they were spot on. Hope it helps.

okay ill def get splitifires and ill keep an eye on something like apexi afc/safc

do u think "mines ecu" would fix that ? along with split fire coil pack?

UPDATE: Okay ran the car on 11psi and it seemed fine again. So my biggest issues come when i have load in the car-2 mates. Happend before and last night it happend again. Im going mechanics wednesday but i want to get some more mods suggestions, much apreciated.

Okay, ill bring the boost back down to 9 and ill order first set of split fires i see for decent price. What else could i upgrade that i will notice difference. Ie. fuel pump? Thanks for your time.

Hey guys, i had enough of my car and need your help please...pleasee! (sorry for starting a new thread but i had to, my car pissed me off so much last night) :( I bought a Skyline gts-t r33 ser II about 3 months ago and am not that familiar with turbo cars so i thought id ask some of you guys that have had one for a while, so all help is really aappreciated. Mods on it: Cat back exaust-(getting rest delivered soon i hope, waiting) K&N Filter Tubotech manual boost controller set to 11psi Apexi cooler story is: i used to have problems with misfiring until i gapped my plugs to .65mm. The car did start to run better but at times, like last night, car would misfire, cut out totally as if ive briefly let go of accelerator all together and have flat spots all over. car would hit full boost straight away but wouldnt pull, and i would feel it pull propely from maybe 4000 to 4500rpm, and it would go flat again and pull hard around 6500 to 7000rpm. I dont want to waste money on unnecessary mods but whatever i need to buy i will. Im not going for huge power just decent. Problem? Im not sure what i should upgrade (apart from front+dump pipe) that could help me overcome this problem. Most of the times when im by my self, car runs not too bad, but with a bit of load, forget it. Solution-Can you guys suggest what you think could be and what would be the best was to fix it and also what upgrades i need. Please only reply if you want to help. Really appreciated.

Spotted SHYSKY (R33 ser II) parked on queen street on my way to work. Had a qucik look, looks like a sleeper i must say.

About a year ago, it was 10pm, i was parked at a lookout in the parking. I had a black Honda integra. A white holden commodore, was reversing, straight in to the back of me. As he hit me, i started up the car, having a bad gut feeling that he would do a runner. He sat there for about 4 seconds before deciding to gun it. I reversed, went after him... Eventually cought up to him on the freeway, i flashed my lights a number of times but he wouldnt pull over. Thinking i had all the evidence i need i went to cop shop. I explained what happend and told the copper that i wanted press charges because the person did a runner and failed to stop to exchange details. Another officer examined his car and because there was "no damage" there was nothign i could do. I was left with a hole in my bumper bar (body kit), had his details, had everything and couldnt do nothning....Whatta fair world. On the other hand if i knew that i wasnt gonna get anyway with cops, i would have chased him down in his pissy commodore and belted the asshole.

My advice is, to mminimize your chances of being "mistreated", look for a job in bigger company. Some doddgy, rude mechanics out there. my 1.9 cents

Hey fellow skyliners. I wanted to start a new thread on good locations to take your car for a drive. Please feel free to add other locations that you found fun. Twisty road and great views: Apart from the obvious one which is great ocean road, towards lorne, I found Arthurs Seat my favourite. Arthus Seat is on the way to Sorrento. It has some twisty roads while you climb up and the mountain has the best view i ever seen anywhere in Victoria. I highly recommend it. ill add some pictures i took off my mobile camera to give you an idea of what the view looks like from the top. It also pays to go up there during night if its a nice and hot night, apart from beatuiful views, you might even get lucky if your with your ladie/s lol...enough said. Please feel free do add your thought on great locations, as i am looking to explore Victoria a bit more.

Bro i dont know its all up to you. I did the same thing, and i sold my skyline, got a RAV4 instead, to "settle down". Two months later gave it to my mum and got my self a real car again, R33 serII.

17inch wheels with tyres. 5 spoke 114.3 came off a skyline R33. Front two rims are 17x8 and rear 17x9 for bigger tires. Two tires are rwc and rear two drivable. Good cheap rims for anyone looking for cheap 17inch upgrade. call on 0- 4- 2- 1- 8- 6- 4- 6- 9- 8 (Adz)

I recently bought the same car and picked up an Apexi cooler with piping that suits my car for 350. I say stay put and wait for bargains..dont rush into anything. I got it off this site too by the way.
