  1. that doesn't really bother me as it was an impulsive thing.. actually i am glad i didn't buy them as the $415 can go towards a stealth cooler from JustJap 26-TUF available 34-QIK available NIS-025 available

  3. Cheers mate All i can tell you about the wheels so far is they have a HP logo in the centre and they are 18". heres a side on'ish pic. Thanks !
  4. i like the look the offset rims give thats for sure ! gave the stagea a good wash and polish today ready to start a year of daily driving !
  5. was on PPQ having a dig last night, very surprised that NEO-06 was available, 666-NEO and NRB-025... if i had the money there and then.... NEO-06 would be mine ! but alas..... no. what other ones have you guys/girls tried and found to your surprise that they are still available ?? Jez
  6. Spotted a Silver/Grey R33 along the M1 heading south just after Nerang. Had an SAU sticker on passenger side, number plates were something like 977-??? or 997-???. I feel weird looking over at strangers cars and waving, so i didn't SORRY !
  7. what turbo is on it and plenum ? cheers
  8. Ok thanks to Count Grantleyish i have found out what the allen keys are for that came with the car when you want the car to be stiffer, do you wind it out to max stiffness and then turn down from there ? or turn up the stiffness from where it is now. also this is only because the car has bottomed out the left front 3 times now in 2 weeks on various roads (mind you we were going faster than should be). do i need to adjust the back the same amount of clicks as the front or leave it as is ? Many thanks, Jez
  9. where you at cos i got hipermax too and got both spanners.... the only reason i ended up in this thread is because i want to know if you can adust stiffness on these ?
  10. Welcome Tom ! OT: DRD-00F - your avatar is almost criminal
  11. Thanks for both the replies !! hmm maybe i should of spent the extra $15 and got the 300v.. they charged $74.95 for the 8100 at repco nerang. 455holes 10k oil/filter service sounds good to me thats for sure. So far i have picked up (going from tired castrol edge to new motul 8100) that the turbo defintely and i mean DEFINITELY spools up quicker/and possibly slightly earlier. I also have a 480ml bottle of ROIL gold given to me.. Do you guys recommend adding some of it to the Motul 8100 ? Thanks for the help Jez
  12. Wow what a massive read this has been. Definitely a bit wiser now ( probably cos 2hours has passed ). I still have a question though as i feel unsure about my situation. i just bought a 99 stagea rs4-s neo6 with 14x,xxx on the clock. The previous owner said they use castrol edge (unsure of weight). They said it was changed 2 weeks ago but it smells "fuelly". I am going to do a oil change this weekend regardless of his last one. I would like to go with the Motul 8100 5w40 that has been recommended. The car will be daily driven 150+ k's a day, and with some lead footing here and there too . I will be changing the oil/filter every 5000, and will get the nissan oem oil filter. I don't have the budget for the expensive oils, and i guess just want confirmation that the Motul 8100 is correct. Many thanks for all your help Jez
  13. another Jez !, sounds like double trouble !! cheers for the welcome

  15. Big HELLO to you all, I have been directed this way by Green_Ghost on boostcruising (Myles). First of all just wanted to say a massive THANK YOU to all who have contributed to the stagea D.I.Y and F.A.Q section, it has been a massive resource tool for me, so once again, THANKS !!!! I have been reading alot lately I recently purchased a 99 Stagea RS4-S with a few mods. It has 3" Stainless catback with Jasma muffler, k/n pod, earthwire kit, HKS SS BOV, HKS hipermax performance suspension, asea rear strut bar, 18" HP Wheels on 235 gemstones and an apexi turbo timer. What a fantastic car to drive, the rear LSD seems so tight, in the wet it's incredible fun. One question i have though, When i am doing say 100kph on the highway, and i back off the throttle, my A/F ratio heads to 20 and you hear a pop in the exhaust. IF i push the clutch in, my A/F stays at 14-14.5. I first thought it was because the BOV was not plumback, but today i fixed that, and still no joy Any ideas or is this normal ? I am sure it is contributing to the black soot that ends up powderising the rear end after a week. Anyways, heres a few pics to show what i got, and would love to meet up with other owners out there Cheers Jez EDIT: Damnit i meant to post this in the STICKY: qld newbies.... ultimate noob now :|
