  1. Silver S1 along paradise rd slacks creek at 4:45pm. Waves exchanged, nice S1!
  2. Black S2 spotted heading Sth along Tugun 5:30'ish this arvo.
  3. Marc2 is not me, i left that on there to show who did originally post it The ebay seller is not correct ! I bought my pads from Burson Auto Parts. Priced them from the others (autobarn, repco, supercheapauto, global auto spares) and burson came out on top. $100 is what they cost. Please be careful as you have written in your reply DB1139 and none of us have mentioned that pad. it's DB1399, maybe you just had a typo. Hope you get the right ones this time Jez
  4. Hi, i have just done the rear brakes on my S2 RS4-S. They are DB1399. Here's a quote from 2005 in the Stickied "stagea parts list" thread "Brake Pad Update. It appears as though SI and SII Stagea pads are different. Terminal was kind enough to call in today and we compared his SI front and rear pads to my SII. Definately different. Guys I will confirm the following info by mid week when pads arrive and we have done a fitment. but it looks as though the front pads for SI are DB1398's and come in Bendix Premium (so far). The rears are DB1144's and are Hardie Ferrodo (so far). More research to follow. For SII it looks like rears are DB1399's in Bendix Advance (more research to follow). To date I have not found a pad for the front of SII - but still searching. I will endeavour to keep you all posted as information comes to hand. Regards, Marc2 " Hope this helps
  5. Ok Hugh, hopefully they didn't change it between S1 and S2. I put my indicators on and followed the flasher unit's clicking noise If you imagine where your left leg would be when sitting in driver seat, look up and back behind the dash to see the Relay/Flasher. It's maybe 15 cm up from the leading bottom edge of where your left leg goes under the dash. Hope it's there !!
  6. OK so I am browsing the web looking for all things Stagea (nothing unusal there) and I come across this.... http://www.autoquotesforfree.com/Model/Nissan/history-nissan-stagea.html I think we should play one of those "Spot the flaws" games I will start with the photo of the "apparent" Stagea. Never have i seen that series before ... oh thats right, it's a lexus # apologies if this has been posted before #
  7. So after bolting up 17x8 and 17x9 enkei's to the RS4S, I had to readjust the rear camber arms for less -camber to clear the shock. What I didn't notice was that it creates toe out like crazy. After driving for 10 mins the car is just too nervous even on flat road and head home. I jacked the car back up, look around and notice that the rear HiCas arms are adjustable. Sweet. After eyeballing it with a spirit level flat across the rim to the body I have removed the toe out (which gave even more clearance to the shock) and the car tracks straight and handles great just like before. Will be getting it properly aligned by Bob Jane @ Nerang again. Apparently their machine is the best in oz. (Their claim not mine). Heres my last alignment by them late last year out of their dying printer Jez
  8. saw 17yostagea with his 25G up at tambo. 66yo, you don't count being in a skyline nice to meet you both and sorry i couldn't chat longer, lunch was served !
  9. Agreed. I am very impressed with the quality for the price. Todays plans went smooth for doing the timing belt till a dud bolt snapped while doing up the CAS. I didn't even have much pressure on it. looking at the bolt remnant, you could see half the split was old. Over-tensioned from previous owner. So I had to remove bits again and drill/ezi-out the snapped bolt. No damage done, and found while undoing the CAS frame/mount off the motor that one bolt was not tight ! so worth it overall. I guess it pays to check every nut and bolt - even if you haven't touched it !! JJR Front camber arms are now on tomorrows list !
  10. pictures are handy ! S1 btw
  11. Nah. I was just coming back from my parents, out Tallai area. I live up brisbane way and work @ coolangatta/tweed Spotted a White RSFOUR-S in a hurry on the M1. Caught up to give a wave and backed off to safe town. Is that your normal highway speed ??? lol
  12. Installed This week. - rear camber arms - Neotech - Rear wheel bearings + seals - Nissan genuine - Rear Pads - Bendix DB1399 - Chinese rims gone - Enki's now on new tires. Tomorrow - front camber arms - JJR - timing belt - Gates Saturday - wheel alignment Jez
  13. Just wanted to say i have just done the rear pads on my RSFOUR-S and they are definitely the Bendix DB1399. If your old pads still have the metal backing shim plates to help spread the piston load across the pad, then you will find that the 2 little nipples on the back face of the outer pads will interfere. Use some side cutters to remove the nipples and file them back to be flush. Apart from that, perfect fit. Jez
  14. Got beeped at by another Stagea owner as i was driving out of nerang towards the highway onramp this afternoon. I totally didn't see you until you beeped. I was too busy enjoying the car as it's been 3 weeks since it's last been on the road. Jez
  15. Well, unfortunately my stagea got reversed into last night. At first it sounded like tools falling off a car, but it wasn't... I was lucky enough to have remembered what car was parked in front of me when i arrived, and when i saw him speed off i knew it was same car. Went to neighbours house and yelled for 5 minutes to make myself heard (they were playing loud music). Once someone came out i got info out of the bloke that his cousin was the driver. Told him he had better call him back here as I don't want to cause trouble but i will if i have to. Cousin arrives back 10 mins later claiming he didn't even see the car there..... anyhoo got all his details and have lodged it all with Just Car and got my 2 quotes done already. now to wait for the assessor on the 8th. I am sooooo fkn pissed off, mainly because he sped away and if i didn't notice who it was i would have fk all chance of keeping my rating, Plus would have to pay excess etc. Apparently he only has a kiwi license as he has just moved here. So here is what a VY commodore trayback does to the front of a stag. notice the beautiful hole the exhaust cut :| One question to you all, do i have the opportunity to keep any parts they remove to replace ? i understand i should probably just ask the repairers, but i wanted to know if anyone else has been able to do this ? Skippy did whisper in my ear *R34 front* but i don't think i have enough damage to justify it. Thanks Jez
  16. My 99 RS4-S just rolled over to 200,000 last week. bought the car with 130,xxx on the clock a year ago. 95% highway driving, serviced every 10,000k's (oil / oil filter / k&n air filter clean & re-oil). I use motul 8100 xcess 5w-40. engine is so sweet, no top end noise or bottom end noise. turbo is still smooth, and have been running 14psi using jaycar ebc for the last 30,000k's. Going to do the timing belt and all driveline fluids next. This car is my first experience with an RB motor and I love it.
  17. I thought it might have been ! looks great mate. has it got a fmic ? noticed front bar has been chopped in the centre where number plate goes but didn't get a good look.
  18. That may have been me from slacks creek to coolangatta in the morning, and all the way back in the arvo.... no wonder i have almost racked up 60,000k's in a year... poor stag I spotted another yellow rsfour-s in nerang yesterday afternoon, with female driver. nice ride !
  19. this might be going off topic but seeing as we are talking about features.... Does everyone elses S2 do this ? Lock your car with your remote key, then unlock it again (let's say you accidently bumped the unlock button putting keys in pocket). In 30seconds, it locks itself again. It senses none of the doors have been opened within that time and decides it was a false unlock. Now is this part of my clifford alarm or a standard stagea feature ?
  20. Nope, not me ! I have seen one very similar to mine, but he had shaved badges rear and no dish/many spoke rims. The other yellows i have seen look like fourbies Still have not once, ever, never spotted an M35. They must hide...... Sounds like a great base to hold a Stag Meet. Shell servo + hungry jacks. Plenty of parking at the fields. Plenty of directions to head off for a cruise !
  21. definitely silver. bum was shaved of badges too. he pulled off at the first mudgeerabah exit i am sure. that was this afternoon heading north. i overtook him, then he overtook me, then i overtook him again. all legally if anyone is watching.
  22. spotted silver S1 between reedy ck caltex and mudgeerabah along M1 heading north at around 5:20pm. waves exchanged. Mine must of looked like a pig compared to yours all shiny.... i need to wash it BAAAAAAAAD. Nice ride mate. Jez
  23. Not sure if you have one, but on my radiator support i have a sticker saying "E/O-4.2ltrs - O/F-.3ltrs" Simply means - Engine Oil - 4.2 litres, Oil Filter - .3ltrs So 4.5ltrs for a full top up. Also I do have to say, my neo6 is quiet as. It has over 160,000 k's on it, and with the motul feels so crisp. Also i am getting 600k's till the fuel light comes on. I can not fault this oil. Even changing @10,000k's the oil has excellent lubricity. You can feel it between your fingers.
  24. Ok well i hope this helps you out !
  25. Hey mate, sorry for late reply. I think my car is the correct donor to check under the dash. I have no rear fog light, and have got DAYZ spotties fitted. I will have a look for you now and see if there any differences. jez
