  1. It is sad ! Last time I found a girl that liked performance cars, I married her ! She's a small one too. No wonder she likes Holden Gemini's. I'm 6'4", and honeslty could do with the seat rails 1" - 2" further back. Rear seat passengers would have to be amputated from the knee down though If you feel like it, put up some pics of your Stagea in here http://www.skylinesa.../page__st__1780 Cya QLD - Spotted a stock white S2 going south on highway near Tallebudgera @ around 4:30pm today. I but got deeee-nied.
  2. Fk me mate, I feel for you. That is just plain nasty. Stuff like this makes my blood boil. I witness a friends supra get done by a well known shop. He drove from the shop in bris to willowbank, did two runs and the motor is rattling like a coin in a can. Not even 500ml of oil in a $10k engine.
  3. Oh, SNAP! lol I'd then sell the M35, buy another C34 and mod it with the change
  4. So you saw the finished CV shaft with new boots ? And yes, if you are running it too low, you may have a more extreme continuous angle on the shaft causing the boot to constantly strain from tight, to stretched. If your car is that low that you can't stick your head under with out jacking it up, take a photo with camera flash while car is on the ground (not jacked up) and check the angle. If you have the luxury, drive on a hoist (one that lifts the car by the wheels, not the chassis). And don't forget, it only gets worse over bumps etc (higher shaft angle) Genuine nissan boot or repro ?
  5. Here's a (hopefully non sleazy) wave from QLD ! Female Stagea owner, that's awesome. Big up.
  6. bugger.. Well seeing as you are in Tas. I've seen them put empty busted bottles in a lake and pull out fresh beer. You can't dip the stagea in that water ?
  7. Spotted today a sweet Silver 4Dr 33 heading up Mt Tambo as I was on my way down.
  8. These should get you started ! http://www.japaneseimportspares.com.au/nissanstageaw34aftermarketparts/ http://www.option1garage.com.au/Panels.htm
  9. I think you have done damn good. He has slightly better power to weight and possibly a close ratio box. What yr model RA ?
  10. You think the headlights are the most expensive thing to do ? What about spraypainting ? Bayside blue would probably be a full respray unless they are bloody good at colour matching. Even a half spray is more than headlights. For a quality job, I have to agree 8-10k.
  11. I dun geddit.. I feel for you though, are you a bit deflated from it all. It's tiring stuff
  12. Nice work, every run was an improvement in time. Have you replaced the clutch ? Mine is still standard will have to sook it off the line. I definitely want to get out there at some stage. I am thinking low 14's and will be happy with anything better. If anyone is planning on going again, let us know on here as soon as you can !
  13. Throw some metho in the fuel tank for starters (groups any water together and will it burn in the engine) and maybe replace fuel filter. I fitted a HDI EBC-R yesterday and a silicone intake pipe. Love the HDI. Excellent quality, very simple and works well. Brings boost on fast, doesn't overshoot and holds it in the top end.
  14. I'm with Hugh on this. I have had very similar issues as well. Battery was the problem. I can't explain the technicals but apparently some of those batteries do not charge properly and so it will go flat. When driving it may perk up for the next startup, but if left a day or more the grunt is gone. Jump starting a dead/faulty battery with a good one gives mixed results too because it is hard for the good battery's current to flow well through a half dead battery. Simply remove your suspect battery and replace it with someone elses as a test. Won't cost a thing and then you can rule it out. Battery's can even get bad connections internally to the terminals and so random results occur. Hope you get it sorted !
  15. Spotted early this morning QLD - Yatala - Southbound M1 - Yellow S2, Wheels, Exhaust and an identity crisis lol. S1 Lights at the least and pretty sure it had an S1 grille too ! Not sure if you're on here, Good to see another stag but !! It's been ages
  16. Spotted on M1 north around Pimpama a phat low white 33 with black rims #plate TEASEN and again @ slacks ck turnoff. sounded good ! looked very clean
  17. LOL Hugh. Stage-Ah is how I say it but I mostly call it Big Bird or the Yellow Sub.
  18. Spotted a neat black R34 4 Door, Number plate 344DRT - You waived but I was too slow. Nice ride
  19. Installed a oil catchcan and a return flow JJ intercooler this weekend. Can't go wrong with D1-Spec Good clearance from manual ac fan Finished product
  20. Thank you Davey. CV angle is a concern of mine too with the amount of k's I do. I recently just put in bcpr's and tapped em to .8mm car runs so crisp. Will look into platinums though for next change. You are spot on about the hardrace adj. castor rods. They are indeed the next thing I am purchasing handling wise. I unfortunately know nothing about "smoothed off the steering knuckle knob" so I will look into this. Do you have any more info on this and the slip on lock spacers etc ? I will go searching now
  21. On Friday, I decided to remove the foglights mounted on the bumper as they are just slowly getting stonechipped and I never use them. After removing the front bar, I was shocked to see that my front reo bar was damaged. This was damaged when I got reversed into, and was not replaced by the repairer. I have taken photo's and will contact JustCar and see what is the go from here. Anyhoo, I have always been interested in where the AC get's it's outside temp reading from but could never find it. Well I found it while the front bar was off didn't I and I moved it ! But to where you ask ? no ? ok fine.... Well I want to know what the air temp is my engine is sucking in so I placed it right next to the air filter. The only thing I can think of as a downside is that the Auto AC setting will be going off that sensor, but i even have plans to get more of these temp sensors, wire them all in earthed to a rotating or multipole switch and then I can choose the sensor and push the button to see the readout All will be sweeeeeet Oh and I painted my grill black. Ugly grille still ugly, just black You can see the damaged reo bar on drivers side, and i also brightened the air temp sensor location New position of air temp sensor Tadaa
  22. err, hmm - I have just looked while not under the influence of alcoholic beverages and noticed I only have 10mm left of adjustment as opposed to 10mm used. WHOOPSY
  23. The 4 stands for 4 ridges/ribs. The last numbers stand for the circumference. If the mechanic said to get 10mm shorter 4PK865 = 4PK855 4PK890 = 4PK880 4PK910 = 4PK900 Mine were replaced a while ago. I just checked them and they are the same as what the mechanic told you you have on your car. I just noticed something too ( see attached pic) - On the Alternator/Waterpump Belt (890) I am only using up less than 10mm of the adjustment and have a shitload to go. A 4PK880 would be a bitch to put on.I would say your mech. wants 10mm shorter because the current ones are stretched. That's just what happens over time. Basically, Do what KiwiRS4T said
  24. Glad to hear you got it sorted Does your boost come on snappier now compared to the video ?
  25. I'm not doubting you, but that doesn't sound like a Neo6 flat to the floor. Especially that second stab at the throttle, boost was very hesitant to rise. Are you saying you have only just fitted an FMIC ? Sometimes there are rags inside to stop crap going in. Did they get taken out ? Can you take a picture of your engine bay and EBC tubing etc ? Also try mixing water and something soapy/detergent and spraying that in and around all of your intake piping. It will bubble up if there are any leaks.
