  1. It might just be that i'm tired and need to go to bed, but really ? grease leaking out of that bush ? Isn't it a pressed rubber and there would only be a smidge of grease on the part the bolt goes through ? You sure you don't have a leak from somewhere else ?
  2. You're welcome ! Great that you have now confirmed for the community that it is the same. In some of the posts they mentioned Natrad etc for a new core "I got one from Natrad recently. Their Product Number was IHC1013A. There was heaps in stock in Canberra so took overnight to ship it down to Melb. Note, I reused my existing plastic pipe connections. You can see if Nissan has spare rubber o-rings for between the pipes and core, if not you could look at using a gasket goo suitable for water/coolant. " <- From Fry_33 on 31 May 2012 "try Natrad, they should be able to get you the right one - about $150-$200 brand new " <- From BstewyR33 30 May 2012 hopefully prices haven't risen that much since then
  3. H1 is the parker bulb ( look at link it's tiny ) https://www.google.com.au/search?gs_rn=15&gs_ri=psy-ab&tok=CYvfPD0ZJyTFJX8Lf2v8OQ&suggest=p&cp=5&gs_id=k&xhr=t&q=h1+bulb&safe=off&bav=on.2,or.r_cp.r_qf.&bvm=bv.47244034,d.aGc&biw=1680&bih=902&wrapid=tljp137035021636508&um=1&ie=UTF-8&hl=en&tbm=isch&source=og&sa=N&tab=wi&ei=ZuKtUb--Cs-5iAfe64DIBA I didn't even need to look when doing the battery side, did it by feel while squishing my hand in there Anyways, worst comes to worst - remove battery
  4. Awesome ! Glad to help. I just remembered another thing - you will notice that the globe base has little cut outs in it or "locators". Make sure these are lined up so the bulb goes back in nice and flat. Play around trial fitting the old ones first so you get comfortable with the procedure. I don't like forcing new parts
  5. No you don't need to take off the bumper. It's all done at the back of the Headlight. I was even able to do the drivers side without removing the battery. You rotate the white/cream coloured cap with the little tab hanging off it clockwise to remove the cap. Then you will see the metal cover that needs to be unclipped from its mounts. From there you can rotate the main plug to remove it from the globe Then you can undo the clip that holds the globe inplace and remove the globe itself. I am pretty sure that procedure is correct as i did it about 3months ago. Make sure you don't get your fingers on the new globe when installing. Edit : These are what i bought http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Philips-D2S-D2R-D2C-Xenon-Bulbs-6000K-35W-Maxima-02-07-/250689991471?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item3a5e49b32f He will then msg you back to specify which exact bulb and you say Dee Too Arrr
  6. I'd say the battery has dropped a cell. A jumpstart may not work if it has dropped a cell. Try another battery.
  7. As above D2R, if you go to Autobarn for replacements - take a toilet with you. I almost crapped myself when he said $350 EACH!!! Needless to say i bought Philips Patent licensed ones that are 6000k off Ebay for $80 delivered. Very clean white light with a tinge of blue.
  8. Well glad you got is sorted ! And look at it this way, if it didn't have that minor issue, you would never have noticed the rust until
  9. I wonder if it is similar to skyline or same ? http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/280174-removal-replacement-of-heater-core-skyline-the-right-way-without-removing-the-dash-at-all/
  10. This is what happens when a Frontera drives over a Lexus V8 and nibbles on a blower.
  11. Curious problem ! I did some reading and some skyline owners have had faulty ignition switches cause this. Some said that there is a blue relay down in the drivers side ( near the fuses or possible behind kick panel ) that could cause the issue. Something is making it get moments of power at on and off. Which could point to a bad ignition switch, indicator switch, relay or wiring issue. Have you fiddled with anything prior to the issue occurring ?
  12. I can't stop staring at the entrance way appearing like it's sinking into middle earth.
  13. I got beeped at by a red wgnc34 this morning along chatswood road. If your on here, nice ride
  14. 1. Square bumper with trapezoid exhaust cut out and stock peashooter pipes 2. Slimline plates with lower brackets chillin on their own. 3. 4x4 ride height 4. No rear wing 5. No badges 6. No roof racks
  15. Me Likey. I've seen people putting headlights in the oven to break the bond etc. Do you mind posting a little "how to" on this ?
  16. The pipe has a pretty thin wall, and is easily bent. It may have been bent away when you removed the original hose off. Try persuading it closer ?
  17. Is it possible this is an issue with auto Vs manual ? I've been running the SSQ atmo for over 4 years and never had any stalling, hesitation or interference caused by it.
  18. Took some better photos to show the BOV control i rigged up to the original boost control solenoid. The control switch is mounted to the gear stick. For anyone not quite sure what this does, it basically allows you to make the bov atmo or blocked/flutter by the switch. Home made air ducting and shield for pod. Stock solenoid and HDI solenoid Plumbing Gear shift switch Now i am playing around with shock height and stiffness again, just to work out the last niggles in clearance. Fun fun fun !
  19. Do a basic service on it including Fuel filter and spark plugs. At night time you may see sparks jumping around the coil packs if they are having issues. Could it possibly be a failing fuel pump / relay / wiring ? maybe try the direct wire mod to keep the pump running all the time as a test. Hope u get it sorted
  20. I have not had the problem but it sounds a bit like the CAS is playing up ? Remove the CAS plug and WD40 it too. It could have other issues like sparkplugs, coil packs but i really don't know. Is there any water or oil etc down in the spark plug valley ? that really disrupts the spark. Another thing to check is take off the kick panel that covers the ECU and check the loom for any dodgy joined / spliced wires. It's down in the front passenger foot well, on the LHS. Does it do it while just idling after warming up ?
  21. Two 17x8 +32 and Two 17x9 +35 Enkei Racing S Wheels One of the 17x8 Rims has two cracks that have been previously repaired and cracked again. It also has a slight pothole buckle. The rest are all in good condition apart from some gutter rash, chipping original paint and general wear marks (these are really old Enkei's - when i got them 9 years ago they were already gutter rashed) They suit Nissan 5 stud, toyota, mazda and ford so i've been told. $450 for the 4 Email: [email protected] <--best way to contact Phone: 0408744548 - ask for jeremy. Located @ Slacks Ck QLD. Inspections are welcome. No tires, No tire kickers The Hero3 fisheye distorts some photos so sorry for that ! Damaged 17x8 Other 17x8 and 17x9's
  22. I guess you (with help from a friend or mechanic) could try stalling it up a bit in 1st gear with foot on brake, handbrake on etc while the other finds where noise is exactly coming from. I also guess you may have already tried this :|
