  1. 297kw atw's is impressive already. Isn't amazing how one becomes accustomed to the amount of power. Here I am with a maybe 150kw's at the wheels? and to think of doubling that and then wanting more seems almost crazy for a street car. But there it is. It only seems crazy until one becomes accustomed to it. anyhoo, i'm jealous gimme your cc details and i swear i'll feel better
  2. Ordered some new rims for bigbird. Got a crack in an existing weld on my enkei rim. Didn't even realise the rim had been welded. New rims are Advanti Stage(a) Drift 17x9 +15 Tires still 235/45/17 Nice clearance to the coilovers now. Also found these ! The guys at o1g are awesome
  3. [QLD] Nice Silver S1 spotted early this morning along Paradise Rd, Slacks Creek.
  4. Last time i bought fuel from murwillumbah it was 79.2c per litre. For the Camira. I'm jus sayin
  5. Sorry guys, can't make it this time. Wife's Birthday this friday and we are going out Sunday to see family. Have a great time, and take plenty of pics. Next time i guess
  6. WTF is that on your gearbox ? Is that a "pipster ockey clutch special" or am I seeing things here....
  7. Hi Alex, It's a 1953 XK120 DHC. We are converting it to RHD. I believe ya mate because I too know very well there is alot of fixing. Especially due to the price range my dad buys them at They are such a rewarding car though that they are a pleasure to work on. Removing all the paint off the alloy bonnet and doors was just awesome. Removing the siezed door hinges and repairing was an absolute pain but a joy now that it's done. I could go on for hours on the things we have done so far just on one car. What car's did/does your dad have ?
  8. My other toys Wife's toy My Dad's toys we are restoring or have already
  9. In Pic 1 is that a cast mark on the engine mount or a crack ?
  10. Rather than start a new thread, i thought i would ask here. I am wondering if anyone else owns or has seen a yellow S2 RS4-S Dayz full kit with dual sunroofs ? I have searched the web - so far i have found nix, nada and noonki
  11. It's quite hilarious to see them put metal rings on the outside to prevent ballooning on a pipe that only has vacuum!!! As scott said - get an aluminium one. In terms of the airbox, there is such small gains to be had in this area, that the factory job is a-ok. Sure you can put a hole in it.... then what ?? hot air from engine bay ? route a flexi hose to ? get water in ? I never had the factory airbox (car came with pod) so i made up my own heatshield and front air duct larger than the standard ones. Tests have proven very little in terms of positive gains when mucking around with airboxes. This is what i did - http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/348629-what-have-you-done-to-your-stagea-lately/page__st__4200 The turbo's gonna heat it up anyway, so possibly focusing on better intercooler temps ( better ducting, removing some inner guard plastics, fans/sprays ?, upgrade ) and also better underbonnet temps ( remove heat shields, partial rear bonnet seal, bonnet spacers ).
  12. Are all tire pressures equal ? All worn the same depth ? Did any wheels lose any weights ? Do you have a torque split gauge ? What does it do during 85-115km/h ? Any crap on the wheel speed sensors ? How low was the fluid before topping up ?
  13. Was checking air pressures at Reedy Ck Caltex and heard a nice loud RB driving off. Looked over the hedge and spotted a green s1 disappearing. Sounded auto and lumpy ?
  14. After stripping my rear interior out i think i found it. Passenger side behind the compartment in the boot. There appear to be two computers sandwich mounted together. One of them has to be it surely !
  15. I still have the same o2 sensor in from when i bought the car. Still get 600k's before fuel light comes on. Still give it beans most days. Car is now @ 308,232klms. NEVER buy Matilda fuel. It was PULP but found performance was down and only got 450klms to a full tank. Shell 98 all the time, everytime for me. Edit: I totally forgot to say - At 180,000 k's I did pull the o2 sensor out. I put it in a small tub of fuel and used a new paint brush to clean the sensor tip, in through the little slits too.
  16. I would like to participate in this. Seeing so many Stagea's together will be great. Obviously, we will need 2x picnic tables - 1 for C34 and 1 for M35 - FLAMESUIT ON AND RUNNING
  17. I bought new rear bearings about a year ago for muy rsfour-s. gave von bibra nissan my chassis/vin number and they sourced the right parts R32/R33/R34 GTR compatible rear right = 43280-AA300 rear left = 43281-AA300 http://justjap.com/store/product.php?productid=19658 the only difference between left and right is the locating dowel is moved from one side to the other hope this helps
  18. Yep, I had no idea they were there, signs weren't even up yet I am sure of it. No excuse to be speeding though. On my way home tonight, after doing full oil service on everything in the stagea - I was on the M1 far right lane doing 116km/h and slowly overtaking a car. I noticed a car with foggies coming up my arse from a distance, and the car next to me is now trying to match my speed. So to be nice to the car coming quick from behind (ewww) i sped up to 130km/h to overtake the car next to me and then slowed back to 116kmh (no brakes). As i pulled into 3rd right lane, the car overtook me. It was a marked highway patrol ford ute. Maybe he had bigger fish to fry, or understood i simply sped up to let him get pass. I was surprised and impressed none the less. Maybe a bright yellow brick isn't that noticeable....
  19. If your car is very low, the CV boots will keep splitting as the angle of the CV gets pretty high. At high angles, the CV boot is obviously compressed one side, stretched on the other. As the wheel rotates, the rubber is constantly getting compressed and stretched fatiguing it. I actually had a clunky CV joint aswell and i could feel it in the steering wheel at low speeds cornering sharp. I cleaned it as best as i could while being on the car, span the wheel slowly and dripped "roil" onto it. Packed it full of grease and the problem went away the next day. I have put Roil into every oil containing orifice in the stagea. That shit is liquid awesomeness. Now i am not saying it will fix your issue, but it solved mine. That was 2 years ago, problem never returned.
  20. "Just got a pic of the 25G @ 118kph on Freeway. Lucky its in my name as 19yo is still on one point bond till end of May" I got on of those when they put the new camera's up on the M1 just north of beenleigh. 110 in 100. I'm even in the process of moving over and speeding up to overtake the ute in front. Oh wells, my first aerial photo
  21. when you say the wheels are chattering, do you mean - the wheels are skipping or chirping on the road (like a locked diff would) or - you can hear / feel a clicking/clunking sound that gets louder the further you turn from centre ? I would guess your front CV joint/s are the issue at this point. The only reason you notice it at low speed is because thats when you turn alot sharper than at high speed. Jack up the front end and have a good look at the front driveshafts to the wheels, Check the CV Boot (the rubber cover protecting the CV Joint) on the inner and outer of both shafts. If the boots are cracked or split, you know grime and water goes in, and grease comes out. Eventually chewing out the CV joint. If the attessa kicks in, you will notice it instantly on your torque split gauge. do you have one of them ?
  22. I think he wants the dolphin parts that replaced them
  23. Well i have definitely proven everyone wrong. 305,000 klm's - stock turbo. Ever since i got it @ 132,XXXklm's (previous owner did not rebuild the turbo), I put it straight to 12psi. I have always done 10,000k oil/filter changes (motul 8100 excess / ryco filter) and i always make sure my last 5minutes of driving are tame and to leave the turbo timer running for 1 minute. Seeing as my turbo is that ceramic/nylon mixture I am quite surprised. I bet i have now jinxed myself and tomorrow it will die...
  24. You spotted a Nissan Serena ?! Wonder if it was the SR20DET model ? To quote wikipedia "Nissan produced a version with the turbocharged SR20DET to carry people very rapidly" Or was it the diesel model which "Auto Express once named the Serena as the slowest passenger car in the benchmark 0-60 mph (now 62 mph) test, with the 2.3 diesel version (added in the mid 1990s) taking 27.8 seconds to reach that speed." Obviously I am shit stirring and realise you just made a typo
