  1. Hey guys im looking to get a new 4x4 for work purposes and am really keen on the SR5 Hilux's. Ive spotted out a very mint one for a bargain of the price however it has money owed on to the sellers bank (Commonwealth). From what he has told me he still has about 25,000 still owed on the vehicle which is a pretty big sum. I really want the car and he seemed legit and trust worthy. I am just wondering what would be the best way to approach this so that i dont get f*cked over in the end as ive heard many stories of this happening. Any way out there to cover my ass and still land a sweet deal on a great car?
  2. LOL.. what does your diff have to do with your front wheels spinning ???
  3. Any places in sydney that can help me with a cheap and effective service lol /?
  4. Hey guys.. Ive got a r34 NA 25gt (as the user name suggests) Basicly.. its not noticable at all whilst im already driving, but it seems that when im in first gear taking off at a set of lights, i need to give a considerable amount more gas to get the car started.. If i try creep forward in first gear with just the clutch, it struggles to find that friction point and 1/3 times will stall.. I am pretty sure its the clutch slipping but is there anything else that it could be ?? Some background info also: when staging up at the creek and choping up a burnout prior to my run .. i find that after the burnout, for the next 15-20 seconds, my car attempting to drive forward in 1st gear in basicly behaves like its in neutral... Can you guys please help me out on possible issues and how i can fix them ?? cheers

  6. Plenty of automatic R34's lying around for a bargain price.. if its a manual your after though start looking now, its gona be hard to find something good for a decent price
  7. ehh the bottom lids make it look sleepy instead of angry ! lol
  8. lol im actualy doing this atm, only 22,000 to go for a vspec 34 ahahha im just abit bored of the NA 34 and want abit more straight line power so ive decided that i can sacrifice a maximum of around 1k.. Thanks for the extensive writeup NDAWG, suspension wise i have done the coilovers and have swaybars in so its not too bad. Realisticly, would i be gaining anything out of a set of cam gears ?? To be honest that was the first thing which came to mind. Does anyone know of a reputable workshop around the sydney area that i can contact in regards to working on the neo 25de ?? cheers guys
  9. What are the diff gears on this man ?? 4.3xx or 4.1xx ??
  10. ahh ive still got another 25,000 for that power and time wise what would be the improvement in your opinion ??
  11. Hey guys, ive gone through the stickied threads and read about mods to improve power in NA Skylines. Basicly, ive got a R34 25GT, stock aside from 2.5" catback and a highflow panel filter. With a budget of $1000 ( give or take 100 ), what would you guys think would be the best mods for power gains??
  12. interested in wheels and full diff and axles =p
  13. id have to disagree with you on that.. and yes i have owned both as well... the VZ pulled like no tomorow from 40ks onwards and was definately faster in a straight line race..
  14. hmm ive noticed alot of you guys are idling alot higher than me =/ .. generally id look at that as a bad thing lol yet it seems you are all getting better fuel economy regardles... hmm strange =(
  15. What tyre pressure would you guys reccomend for 255/35/18 at the rear and 225/40/18 for the front ?? Basicly, i am carrying absolutely nothing in the boot, no subs, no amps, so in general nothing that weighs the car down further. As for the checking the O2 sensor i havnt gone into doing that yet. Btw how many K's do you guys get around per tank ?? cheers
  16. Before i get flamed, yes i have gone through various fuel economy threads and that is exactly why im posting up here. Ive come across a wide range of people who claim they are getting 400-500km's per 50L (how much it typicaly takes to refill when the yellow light comes on) Now this is quite interesting, seeing as the best ive gotten out of my tank was around 370ish and that was with granny driving and not going over 3,500 once during the whole tank. Driving rather spiritly, i get somewhere around 340ish at best.. My car is a rb25de neo r34 2door; basicly lowered, 255's at the rear, 2.5" cat-back exaust so its pretty stock, its even running a standard air box. I am puzzled what could be causing this. Everything else in the car is working beautifully and the car is in very good nick. Idles normally at around 650-680 RPM.. Any ideas ??
  17. just cut the wires off the bloody thing lol...
  18. ive been in a stock vz s and can comfortably say that it will easily beat a r34 gt with a exaust.. their slugs from the start byt those things have a big pull from 50ks onwards despite their weight
  19. the alloytec in the VZ is a great engine man. from memory its somewhere around 195ish kw from factory
  20. 2 x Standard r34 rims.. Location : Sydney
  21. Stall up the auto mate... i.e. hold the brake and gas at the same time and just dump the brake out, bound to cut traction.. ill just stick to my cluch though hehe
  22. my educated gues is that it would definately be slower than a supra
