  1. Bloody hope its the 3rd, 2nd I'll be bashing around PI.
  2. You inspired me Charles This is some stuff from ebay. 3M tap and sikaflex would not stick to it. So its held on with screws with a thin layer of foam in between the bar and lip so air doesnt get in between and rip it off. Couple of weeks and we will she how it does at 230kmh down the main straight at PI.

Vicdrift @ Winton (2.5 hours from melb) are the only events in Victoria you will see that action. Driver Dynamics (http://www.driverdynamics.com/) do skid pan days now and then, as do SAU VIC (http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/363168-2011-sau-vic-events-calendar/)
  4. this is what I didnt as well. go out hard to start. by the third lap they are screaming at you. on my car at least, that center tread line on the ku36 moved around like a wet rag after 2 laps. hot pressures from 34-38. the sidewall on the ku36 is much softer than RSR. i find you can run the RSR at lower pressures 32-36 and get heaps of laps out of em. I also found the ku36 got better after and better with use, to the point where they just screamed and pushed. Me thinks baron has some shares in dunlop??? heahea I have seen quite a few of the mx5 guys running the Z1's. I didn't really see them as a tire for heavier cars. what are the sidewalls like in comparison to the ad08 (have you felt them while off the wheels?). those and the hankook are soooo cheap it is almost worth trying, it is just that the RSR hard to pass up.
  5. Both sets of dampers and springs still here. Swaybars gone.
  6. The RSR were not as progressive as the KU36. But provide more grip for longer. The KU36 go off pretty quick on the track, the RSR will give you 3-4 laps around PI. KU36 start to slide after 1 lap. I did 20+ track days to a set of 255 in the rear of the car last year. Went through 2x 235 sets on the front. The poor set of 235 all round KU36 only lasted 8 or so track days.
  7. Just one of those freak things.
  8. Looks like I'm good to go. Alignment came back fine.
  9. Wheels...what wheels. Both the LHS have bits missing off them All the arms are back on the car and it drove ok. Just needs a wheel alignment now. I'm guessing the front LHS hub and mounting points for the tie rod and the lower arm may have moved a little. But time will tell.
  10. I'll send mine in after a wheel alignment.
  11. Well I got to stand by the side of the track for a while and hear the car. I would say your car was far louder than the GTR Troy.
  12. Looks magic
  13. Likes!
  14. Indeed. Shame about the wheels, they were nice...
  15. No-one smashed up their car and needs new headlights? These things cost $$$ new. The wheel is also in great condition. Brakes are still around as well.
  16. This is tomorrow people. We have arranged for a digital whiteboard/projector for video. mmmmm, I can taste the pizza already. Remember you can win free stuff just for turning up! Also Please make sure you look at the signage where you park, as there are resident only zones in this area that are patrolled at night.
  17. 17's and 18's all gone. sorry bud, someone else got in just before you. dampers and springs are all working and not leaking. only came out of the car for more track oriented items. swaybars are the same, realistically I could have left these on the car. they are lighter than the whiteline bars i use and are meant to provide the same handling. but i liked the whiteline so changed back.
  18. love the carbon banana. look forward to seeing it at EC in August.
  19. He is always quick, he muscled his way through the traffic as well. With that much power and grip what would you expect? 21 is hauling though. Hey Matt, nice time!My car wouldn't turn right around turn 5, just went straight on. Crapped my pants and got off the power and it started to turn just as the car got into the grass. But it was all over by then. Not the way I wanted things to go. You can really hear the stones in slow motion.
  20. I prefer my flame out the exhaust, not out the bonnet. Good to hear you are happier with the car. Yes Russ is was bloody freezing!
  21. I'd hate to see a major issue of that sort, heaheaheahe Yeh my day was shit. Traffic, then Audi off and red flag...then this on the warm up lap in the second session....
