  1. I was wondering what that guy meant by reaper. Fair enough if its not a daily and you just wanted to take it for some work. Unfortunately your car stands out like dogs balls for the cops so your chances of making it there without a defect were pretty slim. All you need to do is add a muffler and raise it a tiny bit and you would probably be able to pass on the road without hassle. Can you post pics?
  2. My old beast. All black. Stealth. Black N1 lights, black cooler, neat N1 bonnet and boot lip. Couldn't have a GTR any other way.
  3. good luck man. 'give her nothing, but take from her everything' (300 the movie).
  4. windsor has a set of lights now?
  5. Did anyone see the s14 200sx on the m2 from 7.20am till whenever the cop finnaly finished going over the car (this morning 09.07.2010). The 200 was a dark greyish colour with a white widebody kit. It had massive deapdish chrome wheels with rubber stretched so hard you couldn't tell if it had any. The ride hight was pretty much on its belly and there wasn't any mufflers on the car either. what was this guy thinking? Surely he saw it coming?
  6. i have actually spotted you and handful of times now. no point posting up to re-spot the same person over and over.
  7. good mate, sorry for the late reply. Been smashed at my new job. PM me your email so I can send you my new work one. The wrx goes well - just needs to make a bit more noise and ride on stiffer springs...and possibly some wider wheels...in white. It begins lol.
  8. Spotted you turning onto showground road on saturday around 1pm. i was in the blue 08 wrx
  9. wow, this thread reminds me of the rotary one. 2 reasonable arguements that will never be agreed upon. Further to my earlier posts about what oil to use in my 2.5 08 WRX, I just got back from the service centre. They insisted on 5w30 and semi synthetic. They also said that fully synthetic oils will increase oil consumption...I beleive this should only be apparent if you use it for run in (as siksII explained) so my car is at 28,000 which should be well worn in. So now I just have to chose a good fully synthetic oil that supports that (or similar) viscosity.
  10. i wouldnt base your tuner on the 4WD thing, unless the car in question cannot be tuned in rwd mode.
  11. been flat out at uni the past 6 months so the 360 has been collecting dust. Last time I played it I finished oblivion and fallout 3. Now its time to move on and it seems this game could be a contender. I hope it isnt too much like GTA because I got bored of its repetitiveness after a while. San Andreas was good because you could bulk up at the gym and give yourself a poroxided mohawk and kill people with a giant purple dildo. GTA IV had none of that cool shit so I got bored quickly.
  12. i really hope thats not the case for the 08 wrx's. Read the whole thread on the REX forum. They seem to advise against fully synthetic as it 'glazes' the pistons...and some guy reckons his engine blew from 300v!!? Doubt it was the 300v, the best oil I have ever used in my GTR. Still have to talk to the subaru service centre.
  13. scratch that, dug a little deaper and found their 10 page oil thread. Thay have not really come to a proper conclusion, nor have they made any mention on the new 2.5ltrs. I wonder if it is the same engine as the forester, except with a TD04? Might call the service centre and have a chat with them. Thanks for your help Birds, BASHO, siksII and central coast person lol.
  14. not nice? that doesnt sound...nice. I would think/hope that with the 08-10 versions they would have made a decent setup. I did some searches on REXNET. Not a bad forum, I prefer SAU with the stickies. REXNET dont really have an oil dedicated thread, just some random mentions here and there. Unless I suck at searching lol.
  15. thats exactly what my car did after hills. If I am driving at say 4,000 rpm and then push the clutch in and watch the rev drop all the way to zero and then stall. It was a pfc tune too. Sometimes it wouldn't stall, it would barely catch it before zero and then cough up a big ball of black smoke. One thing was ok was on throttle the car ran very well. Nice smooth boost and good torque. I got 260awkw at 12psi boost. Not sure what it would make on 20psi, maybe 280?
  16. cheers. will stick to the factory viscosity and choose my oil of choice. Either redline or motul.
  17. wow, 5w20 for a tribute lol. Who would have thought. The car has done 30,000 and the salesman at subaru said the service centres use a magnatec oil and is 10w30, or was it 5w30. Something like that. How would I go about finding out a cars tolerences?
  18. hey birds. sold the gtr. now I have to got through this whole process again for the 08 wrx. It is suggested by subaru to use a castrol 10-30, but that sounds very thin and I dont trust castrol. I was going to stick with the motul 300v 10-40. What are your thoughts?
  19. maybe you should, lol
  20. i dont think so. Kumho colour smoke's are built from the factory to make smoke for recreational purposes. Michelin's are not. Proof:
  21. My car was sold and picked up two days ago. Thought I would post her up for the memories. Please take a moments silence for my loss.
  22. creg drops different bombs terry. i beleive they are in the form of a brown stinky cloud
  23. Would have rather found one in jap style, but this is all I could find. Maybe a different name in Jap?
  24. you mean drag racing lights, right? I bought some Kumho colour smoke tyres. They were engineered to make alot of smoke and you can choose red, blue or yellow. I chose red.
  25. someone bought my car today. either i get a lift from someone or I jog alongside for this cruise. i am a real fast runner just so you know. otherwise, will have to stay home.
