  1. Piece of string is best judgement haha Depends on: Quality of current paint Whether you can do the prep work yourself When it comes to painting do you just want the: Exterior done Exterior + Door jams Exterior + Door jams + Boot + Engine Bay Not sure what state you are based in, but places like Xxx Bodykits do full colour changes for $1900, average for exterior and door jams your looking around say $3000, then you can head into higher range quality paints as well like I'm getting DNA Paint so thats around 10,000 for exterior and door jams. As craig and sean said, they can really vary depending on quality and how much you want painted.
  2. i got a mixture from safeway for $10 that brings them up a treat, but as Rhys says it doesnt stay that way lasts maybe 2-3 months and hav to repolish
  3. well there's ur number one problem for fitment is carmate stuff never fits i had a front and rear bar from them myself SHOCKING... PSI Parts will have it, but last time I spoke to Shane they didnt have any in stock and he's soon to go on holiday...so you'll have to email them pretty quickly
  4. agreed on carbon fibre, mines got nostrils already in the fibreglass front bar, hav u got any other carbon parts on the car Daniel? man that sounds weird as if im speaking to myself lol
  5. nuh they arent through JDM thats where a decent picture has come from, but you'll have to wait 6-8 weeks through them as PM'd you'll have details on rims and fitment later tonight Cheers Da
  6. Agreed with kevin, kits looking good but black mesh so it doesnt stand out, trust me makes 100% percent difference... Wheels are definate need even a cheap set atm if you cant afford to get the high range ones, check the classifieds always people selling them
  7. Agreed with ali, i've got a set of xd9's 18x10 +18 offset coming in next week $2500 this is what they look like on a white 32...just pretend the cars a bit lower, would probably look sweet, PM me if you want a set. close up, they are called Work Emotion XD9 Colour (Madbray) which is a special order colour generally
  8. Agreed with terry as I like dished out wheels, my opinion will vary, like I'd say no to the RMC Chrome rims... What sort of spoke pattern are you after? 3,4,5, or 8+ spokes? What colours suite the gunmetal 32's? Do you want dish or just fixed to the edge of the lip? Offsets what will work to push out the guards as 32's have great stance wouldn't want to mess up the offsets
  9. yes dont trust us..hehe go buy elsewhere I'd hope its decent as i have duck wing, bonnet, diffuser, will put up pics in my build thread later and u can check it out and see if u agree
  10. From personal experience as my parts are sourced all over the place: Carmate: Can agree with Pinkcess as I had the same MST Style rear bar as them, fitment was WAY off on rears, the front bar sagged badly under the headlights as I could my fingers through the gap it was so big. PSI Parts: Good quality, ESPECIALLY on carbon products would go nowhere else but them...only got fibreglass skirts so not 100% on quality of front/rears, this is no offence to shane cause everything he has supplied is squeaky clean Jetspeed: Bought my new rear bar straight up fitment of my 400R rear bar. Didn't have the front bar I wanted, had it made within 5 days I think it was, so quick response time DMD: Have heard good things but personally don't know myself however Vivagarage: They are in S.A so probably to far anyway, but have heard can be thin layers of f/g and therefore can crack and have problems These are the main ones alot of people use overall: Fibreglass Bodykits: Jetspeed: For easy fitment with minor tweak work and decent prices (Based in Melb & Syd) DMD: Slightly higher prices but from what I hear good fitments, not sure if always products in stock (Based in Queensland) Carmate: Cheap and get what you pay for and need ALOT of work, (Based Sydney in Villawood) Viva Garage: Average prices, mid quality as stated on products that I've heard (Based in S.A) Carbon: PSI Parts: 100% recommend super cheap prices and ALL carbon products
  11. Having been following the PSI Parts production of trying to make a c/f cooling panel to fit all GTS, GTST and GTR models, however as FineLine stated there is a difference which is holding up production atm. And just between myself and PM-R33 we can tell you the quality of the PSI Parts c/f is worth the wait possibly another month or two off from production. So hang in there mate
  12. Just on an update due to delays for the rims have changed from the Volks SF Challenge to Work Emotions XD9 with the polished lip with polished black centres. Sizes: 5x114.3 - 18x10 +18 offset Direct from Work Wheel Australia thanks to Mike So you can see on a 32
  13. Agreed although this is my build thread that the chick in the avatar is HOTT...lol Why cudnt that be you, dam u spunky monkey, dam u! lmao
  14. Generally for insurance purposes as long as it passes a road worthy its fine to have them, however as alot of companies dont like to insure any modifications I would recommend to double check. You can run 20-25mm spacers, would recommend as long as u can get about 10 turns on the nuts should be good, but you are always running a risk, so no street drifting I'm lookin at running 18 x 10 with somewhere from a negative offset to +20 depending how it looks on what I finally get most likely Volks
  15. To find these under $1500 they would have to be damaged as RHDJapan and JustJap both sell new as $3000, so $1800 is still a good price, you'd be lucky to find them in wrecking yards, if I find a place when/if i get mine I'll let u know
  16. Have replied to these threads previously but, Compared to alot of the off the shelf products it does produce a good note, but you are paying the extra cost to have it It does lower the kW output when shut, but it doesnt damage your engine running it shut on day to day driving as I've had mine for over a year not a problem at all, but if you want to put your foot down I'd recommend it open... Depending on the car your running it off is to how loud the car is, as my friend has it on his 34 GTT and another on an RX7 and they are ear piercing when open...so don't count them out, they may not be a screamer pipe but they can be loud I'm currently having mine changed from remote to in car switch to turn mine from Open > Half Closed > Closed, easy access if you are being tailed by cops If you want it installed, I'd recommend contacting Auto Xcess in Nunawading, http://www.autoxcess.com.au/ Any questions feel free to PM me
  17. Up for sale on ebay $1850 http://cgi.ebay.com.au/NISSAN-SKYLINES-R33...=item19b7d8e15d
  18. Yeh he said he was going to send it to me when I picked it up, but havnt received it, but yeh he said standard brackets are super low so gave me sum metals strips to make my own, I may mould it into the rear bar as ines got a 400r rear bar. Will see how it goes as thats like the last add-on feature
  19. Funny enough I told you I'd let you know when this was starting and PM you, but you beat me to it lol Can you send us a pic of your diffuser setup as mine hasnt been fitted to the car Cheers
  20. Hey guys, For those who heard my project plans a few months back the car has now been in the workshop for the past two weeks and thought I'd put up some pics to show you the progress. Parts being used: GTR Front Bar to fit GTS (Jetspeed) 400R Rear Bar (Jetspeed) Do Luck Skirts (PSI Parts) Wide Vented Front Guards (PSI Parts) Wide Rear Guards (PSI Parts) C/F Bonnet (Unknown) C/F Duck Wing (PSI Parts) C/F Diffuser Tray (PSI Parts) C/F Front Lip (PSI Parts) GTR Front Indicators (Kudosmotorsport) Clear Side Indicators (eBay) Aerocatch Pins (VSport) Basically the car is having a widebody fitted with carbon accessories and there will be a full colour change but you'll have to follow this thread to see the end result. The rims are currently being ordered Volks SF Challenge 18x10 +10 front and rears being a GTS-4 didnt want staggered rims. If you need any parts for a R33 I'd recommend speaking to Shane at PSI Parts top bloke and hasn't let me down on any of these parts all top condition especially on all c/f parts. Delivery or Pickup available in Dandenong Bodywork being done by Phatt Audio Concepts in Mordialloc, thanks to all the boys slaving away there to get this done before summer, for those interested check out www.nsyane.tv and watch the videos on their bodywork and audio installations and diy installations. Everything from old school muscle cars, jap imports to euro and currently the Holden Alphabet car made up from VX VY VZ Avalanche, Maloo parts. This is when the wheel arches have been plasma cut to allow for bigger rims to fit in no scrubbing The front shot now showing the c/f bonnet, gtr front bar and wide front guards The wide rears arches which need to get filled with some nice dish Front angle shows the guards and vents in the bonnet Top shot of the bonnet to get better view for you guys Shows the stance of the wide arches front/rears
  21. Email these guys for the headlights $1900 was on ebay but wasnt sold check if they still have them and make an offer possibly cheaper as didnt get a bite last time. http://shop.ebay.com.au/skylines_spares/m....p;_trksid=p4340 This was where I got my front bar indicators received in 2-3 days packaged well no hassles http://www.kudosmotorsports.com
  22. As for those Kouki Headlights they retail $3k brand new so I'd wait for a wreck on those, was a set on Ebay last week for sale $1.9k was going to get them myself for the same reason. As for the front bar are you after genuine or is it a GTR bar to fit GTS/T? The indicators in the front bar would also be $220 for genuine clear/orange If your after a c/f front lip instead of the standard one you can get that through PSI Parts for $499
  23. Thanks for the replies guys, My guards are going to be 20mm wider than yours dezz so probably need bigger but 18's look like they fill height of the guards well though doozooby a series 1.5 is the model that had airbag on drivers side, series 1 has no airbag
  24. Hey guys cars currently in the workshop getting widebody front/rears, need something to fill out the guards now. The cars a 1995 R33 GTS Series 1.5 currently has 17 on there The colour is being changed on the car from white to a copper bronze, similar darker shade to that of top secret colour. I'm looking at 3 possibilities Volks GT-V - Titanium Gunmetal Volks SF Challenge - Gunmetal Volks GT-C - Gold Also what would you recommend 18 x 9.5 or 19 x 9.5? Should there be staggered offsets? Thanks in advance guys
  25. i am currently havin a gtr replica bar put on mine, needed slight mod as the vents hit the reo, but still you would be able to keep it though
