  1. ACKKK!!! This will haunt us like the ghost of christmas past... T.
  2. The guage is retarded. Either -7 or +7? What the fark is this about? btw. what boost controller is $100? T.
  3. The 33 box has a good rep. for not spitting its guts in the face of lots of mods. It's the clutch that will kill itself. T.
  4. 60 litres. Same as the 33. T.
  5. I really don't feel like much more engine modding in my car... I don't think I need *too* much more power. The problem is that you see and feel the interior *every day* so the imperfections tend to irritate me a bit. $450 is not too bad a price to pay I would suppose. T.
  6. There is a 'new' Power FC 'Pro' out. It adds a bunch of features that are really not much use for road use but may be useful for the track. Eventually all roads lead to the PowerFC so I really think that in many cases the investment is worth it esp. if your OEM 'puter is giving up the ghost. I mean $800 for the S-AFC II - gimme a break. T.
  7. Which model mate? I have Volk TE37 bronze on my jalopy. They're fully sick mate ... The only ones above this are the Volk Racing Challenge which are probably my favourites. These are also pretty expensive. You'd be lucky to get TE37 for $4,000-5,000 a set. The VR Challenge even more. I think Croydon AS are the distros but I could be wrong. T.
  8. Bravo. They just need to make a ricey blue "Hand Controller Type-R Mk2" so it matches my AVC-R... T.
  9. This thing is rather expensive. I think the PowerFC is better investment... T.
  10. Well I've sorta gotten used to the idea that any sort of frill for the Skyline is expensive. The problem is that my car has some severe (IMO) scratches on the original mouldings. I don't really wish to spend a fortune fixing it and have it still look like the boring old OEM shit. So why not make it carbon? Chrome is ok but it'll look like shit pretty soon. T.
  11. I got this pic from somewhere. Does anyone know where to buy them? They make the interior look more interesting. http://www.nitroware.net/~tony/r33_carbon_facings.gif T.
  12. "Front Mount" That big cheesy silver grin that fast Skylines have T.
  13. I don't think the law of thermodynamics works that way. If you use 2% power to run the aircon, you'll only ever get 2% back by cooling at best (assuming 100% conversion efficiency). Water spray the FMIC is the way to go. T.
  14. Joel, Is this the so-called 'scramble' mode on the AVC-R? I have an AVC-R but I think I need a lesson on how to use it T.
  15. How do I fix this? HKS gold colour crap BOV. It's downright dangerous when it happens at highway speed. T.
  16. Because SDU have and I hate to think that the sheep lovers have something that we don't have T.
  17. HID + a set of lights in the lower opening? T.
  18. When I ordered my car I only got the standard Japanese inspection sheet. It was only when I got it here and I had a few mates go over it did I get the full extent of the modifications that went into the car. Otherwise I would have baulked at the HKS suspension Hmmm... doesn't my butt hurt... T.
  19. This might be heresy but I really don't see the point in getting a new BOV that sounds louder, slow release, with trumpets etc. They all do they same thing, they either work or they don't. They just make different wanker noises. I don't think I'll ever get rid of this basic HKS bov as it's loud enough as it is... and $563!!! Buy something worthwhile like an AFC or EBC. Pic is off Nengun. How much is it worth btw? T.
  20. How does the basic HKS BOV sit in this crowd? I have the gold coloured one that looks like a small odd shaped mozzarella cheese ball. T.
  21. Hey I wanna buy a Skyline. Can you recommend a brand? I heard bad things about Nissan... Maybe the Koreans? T.
  22. That blue cage also looks the business. Hate to meet that car in a dark alley... T.
  23. Best brand of what? Every manufacturer has favourites among the SAU crowd. It is clear that Apex'i is the favourite here for electronics (PowerFC this, S-AFC that...) HKS for cam gears and BOV's. Blitz for boost controllers and BOV's. You'll hear the same names being recommended for a reason... T.
  24. Reminds me of the 1995 GT-R r33 Le Mans wide body. Hell fast, rare and expensive but damnnn is it ugly... T.
  25. 15 is the cold viscosity. 40 is the hot viscosity. 20w50 is the standard grade for normal N/A engines. A thin oil is recommended for turbo or new engines (more flow to turbo). A thicker oil is recommended for older engines (slacker tolerances). T.
