  1. Gorgeous wheels pete, how much power are you aiming for? E85? Just spin them as hard as you can too.. I've been held up by my machinist he hasn't given me my head back yet so I'm able to delay my turbo choice.
  2. I installed mine ere I particularly like how when you're in the corners it lights up the lateral g turn knob and when you're in the straight applying torque it lights up the longitudinal knob and gets brighter the more you push
  3. Oh dear, you really have bought the wrong car
  4. Anyone have current information on what oils are class 4 and 5 these days as they tend to jump from class to class sometimes without telling anyone.
  5. Had one on my other 32 awesome unit good luck with the sale
  6. oh shit yea lol
  7. Sounds good pete. Are you gonna aim for big psi? You on E85?
  8. Is a 3.5" exhaust big enough for trying to achieve 470wkw to 490wkw?
  9. If you share that 3.5" exhaust between the 2 GTX63s it is only 1.75" diameter exhaust for each 440hp turbo! That's a huge ask from 1.75" That Z32 shows its doable just open up the inlet and exhaust more and if it doesn't work then I'll right them off. But for now there my 600 wheel horsepower turbo of choice
  10. Simons R34 had 2x GTX63s connected to only one 3.5" exhaust tho, everyone here would agree a 4" exhaust would have been better equipped at removing that wasted energy. Here is some food for thought if he had a map sensor and removed his cat back exhaust and dropped the inlet pipes of both turbos and ran them flat out naked on 33 psi I wonder what it would have done in terms of the heat build-up and power-torque output?
  11. Because I was aware of this issue before even buying that gt2871 turbo I ran it with a .86 rear housing. (Well we may well also be witnessing the absolute maximum flow capability of the factory Inlet pipe work on the RB26) which is good to know as we all know huge inlet temps show up as documented by Simon when trying to push well beyond that 450wkw figure. So I still remain confident that a GTX2863 will overtake a -5 everywhere on the same boost with NO side effects unless pushing the factory inlet pipes beyond there capacity to flow. No different to pushing a -5 to those pipe limits. My 2c
  12. absolutely! That's my point exactly now get that 53.8 mill wheel to spin that 71.1 millwheel @ 150000 RPM It's a hard thing to ask a 53mm turbine to do plus that turbine wheel that is too small to push the big wheel is being slow down by the big wheel at the fronts ability to suck big amounts of air through tiny pipes that turbine is struggling from many areas
  13. Your afr's are beautifully plotted out against your power curve. Who tuned that if you don't mind me asking? Because not many tuners bother to get tunes that clean afr's always stray a little bit from what I see that's why I hate dyno sheets not showing the AFR plots. If afr's and ign are spot on then so will your power and torque curve I'm more interested in afr's then Power and torque figures anyway. Healthier motors last.
  14. Except you don't have 71.1 millimetres of heavier compressor wheel to spin it's not easy for a small turbine wheel to spin a large cast compressor wheel that's 1 of the problems. the Gt x 63 is a better diameter in a lighter weight so that problem has been fixed but yes flow is definitely there
  15. Yes because they are a front to rear ratio mismatch they are overwhelming the turbine at every Revolution they are a bad turbo there needs to be balance like the dash 5 that doesn't mean you can't go 1 or 2 mill 3 mill bigger on the front wheel those r s turbos ah 11 mill too big in the front I know these turbos very well as I had 1 on my 180 and tuned it too its Max I know what issues they have
  16. That's big , what power were you seeing at 7k as it started falling over
  17. what diameter exhaust did you have 3.5 or 4?
  18. It's basically the next step up from the 2530 and I wouldn't run that at 33psi either.
  19. *Making same power on less boost = advantage * the negatives mentioned are are basically the inlet piping which people use at 33psi and i wouldn't have be nothing to do with the turbocharger itself we can't blame the turbo for factory RB inlets tho. It does pretty good I think considering.
  20. If you wanted to run a max of 600whp on a RB28 which is a shit load for a street car, especially with 4 10" tyres AND STANDARD LOOKING ENGINE BAY! If I were to use a GTX63 and put 27psi not 33psi like Simon did only the 27 through factory RB inlet pipes it would move more air than -5's at every point of the Rev range given the 3.5 millimetre larger compressor wheel (until such time the turbine wheel does get overwhelmed with gas it can't discharge quick enough) which in this case won't be until 560+kw which I won't see nor do I wanna see. Longevity and OEM looking engine bay and keeping rpms lower is my preferred engine setup. It's not a race car it's a street car *Hence the E85 *Higher comp *Longer stroke *Shorter duration exhaust cam And sum other little tricks...
  21. Micko is saying the "chocking turbines can't cope" and is restrictive, if that's the case it doesn't bother the z32 setup. The heat Simons setup saw would definitely be contributed to the factory inlets on a RB. Biggest exhaust in the world won't help with a smaller intake, That's the reason race cars and bikes run there race class restrictor on the intake side. Simon told me he also had a 3.5 exhaust which chokes the system at HIS power level generating unnecessary heat. My Z32 had twin 3" straight through with big intakes.
  22. didn't ask for help you weak f**k
  23. More than welcome to say it to my face
