  1. Just leaving this here Not siding with anybody nor saying which is faster or better but read a few pages of LOLs I have never even owned a skyline I would say anything to your face! But I promise to say nice things if you don't leave me behind on mountain passes again...
  2. Oooo...its gonna be tight. Got the front of one in pieces and the other is overdue for a service. If everything arrives before the weekend and I manage to get stuck into it on Saturday, I'm in
  3. 10pm on the dot to be exact. I was the only one who wasn't wasted Was cool that humbla turned up from NSW. Would be nice if her son was in on the whole skyline thing. Definitely the coolest mother/grandmother in my book. I know I'd be running out with my child seat too every time grandma came to visit. Once again Chris, excellent spread of food put out. Big enough to make Sizzler look like a camp oven. Your family has my thanks. Merry Xmas everyone. Looking forward to Clint's little thingo come 2013.
  4. Mad feed it was! Thanks for the good times guys. Nice to meet up again after so long. Will leave this here. Definitely the prettiest/cutest/most adorable TSO member of the night
  5. 3pm at the secret HQ
  6. See you guys tomorrow. Hope we get a decent turn out or at least all the people I know
  7. The windscreen is nothing. Has the roof, bonnet, panels been damaged, Tommeh? I have in the past laid over the roof/bonnet when it hailed. Lucky the hail only lasted seconds! Desperate times call for desperate measures On another note, Windscreen works in town are great to deal with. Fair prices and super service. Should speak to Josh or Rob. Lets just say that I've had a little glass issue for the last 4 months with one of my cars and they've been there for me every step of the way.
  8. Can't believe I didn't see this post! Also got your sms today, buddy. At this point in time, I'm a go for Xmas party Do we all have to bring something? Alco? I don't drink btw so someone can gladly have my share provided there's some soft drink available Feel free to send over a PM with details, Chris.

    Japan Post Pita

Thanks for the replies guys Will take note what I need to do to get these items here. Looks like I'm (and the bro too) gonna need lots of patience and some luck. As for the wax, I see the value in it and I know there will be plenty of people into car care/detailing here on SAU that would probably think the same if they knew what it was. The cost to purchase the wax + postage will still work out much cheaper than what it would cost for me to get locally if it ever were to be sold here

    Japan Post Pita

Hi guys. I've got myself a little predicament here. My brother's got a couple of items he'd like to post to me but apparently Japan post has put the brakes on the items to be sent. I was wondering if anybody could be so helpful as to provide some info on ways around the system short of him actually packing up his bags and delivering them to me in person. Item 1 is an old Ipod he doesn't need anymore. Japan post states that items with batteries in them are NOT allowed to be sent or that the batteries should be taken out of them. I can see how this is possible for some items but not the Apple Icrap... He's certainly not cluey enough to take it apart and I'm exactly a gun with stuff like that. Item 2 is a can of Japanese car wax. He was first told by the post office to contact the manufacturer for an official list of chemicals that make up the wax (which he duly did) to attach to the item so it could be posted but they have since done an about face and plainly rejected the item straight up. He's even tried posting the items in separately so it doesn't look like he's posting a bomb! Could he possibly relabel the items as electronics and car care/fragrance to throw the authorities off? Or perhaps there are courier companies around Osaka that allow such items to be posted that someone can recommend? I really don't see how an Ipod and some wax in a can can pose such a security risk....seriously Cheers in advance guys
  11. Think I've spotted this one a couple of times. And....whats with Concannon field being the latest spot to sell your skyline? Keep seeing 2 33s there for sale...both of which I've never seen in town prior to them being put there.
  12. Yea LOL Was heading off to work. So I see this GTR and thought, "can't be" but yes it was Its like I don't see you on the road for ages and then run into you twice in a matter of hours. I guess my cover's been blown again so Shhh....only both you and Chris know where I hide my hydroponic setup
  13. Spotted Tommeh around 10ish am on James turning onto Ruthven heading south in the GTR. Car's looking alright. She's not broken at all
  14. Hit up Jesse Streeter. He's got a really nice modified one. He's taken me for a ride in it and I tell you, it is the best thing ever. Problem is, my wife has wanted one since! Jesse should be able to answer anything and everything you want to know about the Cap Excuse the crappy pic Mind you she's barely 150cm tall and thats how the car sits.
  15. You'll need recaro/bride rails to suit your car and thats it. What are you going to do with your stock seats btw? I might be keen provided they're in good nick
  16. How many degrees of negative camber are you running front and rear if you don't mind me asking?
  17. Nothing much. Been quietly going about my business. Also been procrastinating a lot when it comes to doing up the car. I have a couple of parts I'd like to get put onto the car but I just can't be bothered. Perhaps one day I'll hit up my mate and get everything done. Nice to see you've got big plans for yours You might want to get a mechanical diff centre, some better brakes and good tyres to suit your car's new found superpowers! (if you haven't already). So.............when are the Twmba boys gonna meet up and do a little cruise and/or spirited drive? Its been a rather long time no? It sorta feels like we're (when I say "we", I mean we as a group and not me having a different sub-species of car ) a dying breed and all the time, the number of skylines keep increasing around town. I swear I've come across no less than five 33s that have to be new to town.
  18. Nice pics Big fan of that skyline rocking the same wheels as me. Love the whole "OEM+" movement. Cheers for the offer Chris but Nick is right. Would be a bit tight in the back. Whoever gets the seat directly behind yours is screwed LOL Realistically, only my wife could get comfortable in those rear seats
  19. Well, I wanted so badly to attend this weekend and felt the same this time last year too. Sadly, my kind isn't wanted unless I change cars or get an RB You guys got some pics of your own to post up?
  20. How much do you 'charge'? Anyway, a reliable source who's been to a some of the recent downshift/jdm meets said to give it a miss. The meets are never incident free which may or may not include one or a combo of the following - skids, bogans, ulehs, fighting/bashings. The SAU crowd is definitely a more mature and discerning bunch.
  21. Any fuel station would be good if there's 98 octane and the queues are massive. Fresh fuel's a guarantee with these stations. I also never fill up if the tanker's there or has been there that day
  22. ^Does panel beating cover paint care? I assume it does. If so, I believe a particular Toowoomba SAU member can help you there.
  23. Mmm...32 or 33, they're both GT-Rs. Either one will be fine. If it were me though, I'd wait for some awesome specimen to turn up (budget around $25-30k) and then get that one. I troll the SAU for sale thread pretty hard and there's not much getting around atm that takes my fancy... I think the LS1 into a skyline is a great idea! I see more S chassis with LS' in them rather than Rs. Imagine how well that'll go cos he goes real well with the N/A now as it is Speaking of dropping prices, Evos are coming down real nice. A nice 8 can be had for around the 23k mark. Cheaper rego for a GT-R-esque vehicle and they go just as good if not better
  24. ^ Am confused. You're getting another GT-R, Tom?
  25. Mmm...this I shall make a note of. Here's to hoping the wife doesn't get up anything around that time
