  1. ouch sorry dude, thats depressing. gl with the sale
  2. dan thought you'd forgotten and or moved on
  3. yeh misunderstood kieren, but the words you said were re price increase and that's what i read and responded. thanks for the tip, and why not not be a member too. i don't have 5 silvia's i can't fit all the details or any details of 5 of my cars in the space listed. so "silvia + 5 more" is what fitted. n thanks for pointing the obvious, but if you READ my signature you would realise i have been selling my cars and bikes i contacted shepparton DECA by phone (i think it was 2008 or early 2009) and was told hire was $2200, at a point i was interested in facility hire. Which is what i was equating the $44 on. I did say a few more words too after that. i didn't say it costed to much and needed to be reduced so don't flame me in a attempt to what.... make me more unpopular, i already know people don't like me. i don't have a fanclub, or followers within the club and don't care, i come to events, meetings, and SAU days because i enjoy all thing's cars. thanks. d.
  4. zip it kieren. i can't afford squat these days and i'm selling off my valuble's to pay my bills. n considering only $44 from each entry go's to track hire (excluding insurance etc), i think you should zip it again. why should a member or guest entrant pay for other stuff ? surely deca monies should only be spent on deca stuff, with whatever few $ left over to top up the SAU kitty. n speaking of sau monies i appreciate the club and it's member input into organiseing the event every time. gettting vidz and photo's occasionally are a nice bonus don't think i can come out after deca this time. i'll have to see how my ebay sales go.
  5. send in your forms anyhow bud, if and when somebody drops out you will next in line. as pointed out by another member already d.
  6. is this where i point out, the last and only time i was asked to remove any loose item's from my entry vehicle was feb 2009 ? ad it was only the glovebox which was jam packed, spare wheel jack n tools. just for you russ iv'e taken a few dents out of my cars. my silvia is straight again ! and my ute got 2 replacement panels yesterday, working on the 3rd but doubt i can afford it after doing suspension n brakes. nah not really for you it's just been long time comin. d.
  7. happy happy joy joy ! i'm in sugestion noted.
  8. thats a sore tooth, and Basti thanks for pointing it out. Yeh thats the odd thing, james was sent after mine and most likely from the same email address because it was done on the same evening 1 after the other. thank you for looking into my issue, i'll buy you a drink (to make you happy with my attendance, not as a bribe)
  9. disapointed my names not on the list considering forms were emailed yesterday.
  10. well well mine's not super sick, just sick, i didn't check the entry list before i posted. i was going to enter in march aswell but i still had a cast on my leg. meh
  11. can't beleive i haven't seen this post. emailing forms tonight. dont think i'll bring the silvia tho, i'm actually getting body work done at the moment. so head's up first holden ute at SAU deca that i know of time for stiff springs and front brakes that work. d.
  12. i had to work im a mechanic it aint story's and propoganda. i know for a fact that running ethanol, swells and f**ks up fuel lines (often internally), increase's your combustion temp's, and makes my life hell when people buy it and put it in there swift's, corrolla's, n commodores etc in the hope for more fuel economy. but yeh if you have the right heat rated plug they won't burnout, if you have the right tune they should get the same or better fuel economy, but im positive if you had a ceramic cat in any circumstance it would melt, a metal cat hmm well i don't know i'd have to try. the problem is every day people hopeing for something out of there daily's, i'm happy you found something that works well, the 110ron specs would be a great incentive to give it a go. but i'll stick with non ethanol based fuel's thanks, because that's my opinion.
  13. hey peeps selling my VL calais off original 5ltr, auto, lpg, alloys, tint, tow bar, resprayed inside and out (except for engine bay) in matt/satin black no rego, no rwc missing elec window switch's, has power steering oil leak. new spark plugs, new windscreen, new wipers. needs tyres, switch's and a new home. she's on ebay so knock yourself out. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi...=STRK:MESELX:IT
  14. good to see people pulling out, why why why. and you people runnning e85 why not just add some ethanol into your tank and make a methanol mix. 95% ethanol can be purchased from bunnings. i hope you got your car tuned for e85. how quickly do you burn out plugs and cat's ? iv'e seen some nasty stuff and wont go near it. also i hope it doesn't bloody rain ! i'm not driving for hours to find out the event has been cancelled.
  15. i think this is the last outing for my silvia, so i'm not spending anymore money on suspension setup's, or correcting the toe in wheel alignment for strip use. bring on the wheel spin ! i should get traction about 75mtrs down the track, oh no wait ive got a plan ! i'll inflate the tyre's on every wrx i see to even out traction loss, 50psi should do it
  16. hey what happined to the vidz !!! ???? yes martin i'm looking at you i haven't seen them, did i miss your post ? i'd like a 3rd person view on the action. dave
  17. sorry to hear. and yes i hadn't heard of the handbrake issue. i'm aware of people breaking into cars and stealing spare wheels tho. i personally think anybody causeing malicous damage or theft should be banned from driving/ownership for a period of time. then we'll see the punishment fitting the crime, and if people are still stupid enough to damage other peoples property....... TO HELL WITH THEM ive had a car stolen. not very nice when your on newstart allowance and can't afford insurance. it was outside my house too.
  18. oxford panels, in huntingdale (car o liner) sheen's in burwood (car o liner) sheen's in east Malvern (car o liner) lots of various views on accident damage people. from your photo's you external photo's look ok, but i agree with the people saying it should be lined up and possibly heated and flat racked. if you don't do this you only option is to replace the suspension arm's and engine cross member. Don't go welding and straightening arm's they are week for a reason ! and now will only do well as a door stop or cofee table. (contact a wrecker for parts and interchageability) make sure you get a wheel alignment afterwards, because your tyres will shred, you car will vibrate on the freeway and your going to do alot of damage to your steering components and i tell you now that outer tie rod's are $140 each from nissan (not available aftermarket), i don't think you want to know how much a steering rack is. good luck. p.s ive fixed alot of cars after a wet weekend or simply silly behaviour and if you want more advice PM me.
  19. finally somebody with "swing" wants to do something about the nanny state....... somebody needs to do something.
  20. thanks guys i searched and downloaded one after i posted, because i thought there would be another option for people with fresh windows 7 installs.... p.s no blu ray support with windows 7......boo to that too espicially when 2 of my pc's have blu. yay for 3rd party software
  21. boo this version of windows on my lappy doesn't have word. booooooooooo
  22. hire jewish lawyer's to draft up a disclaimer form. but if you only have a small skid area, with a decent runn off area, maybe a few tyre stacks where any obsticles are, it wouldn't be a issue. surely you would only embark on a basic testing/handling/manouver area, you wouldn't set up corner's 50-100 meters long and a track km's long. and yes i have seen that sp episode. At the end of the day, it's cheaper and easier enjoy places like sheparton.
  23. somehow i don't think they are coming now. ive had more then enough time to update my avatar and my signature. good night sau
  24. kieren unfortunetly there arn't abandoned airports like on topgear, or unsused factories/stock yards, but yeh driver training days sounds like the go, then hit winton and maybe once again calder. murcot's do a advanced driver training program at sandown, it's about $600 but at the end of it, you should know your car better, and depending on your insurance, getter better rates. iv'e often thought about buying acres, but i work my arse off as a mechanic. oh and can i have a gripe about learning how to react with your car ??? ive done 3 deca's and spent about 10 mins on the road in my car. im still getting use to it With the current laws, the passion you have for driving will not be supported. well concrete would be cheaper, and more slipery, but no doubt there will be locals or adjoining adjistment properties which will complain. i wonder how many cubic meters we need for a figure 8, or would a medium sized oval be better for practice p.s. can i be your new best friend ?
  25. oh good, do me a favour and send me a pm when they are realeased that way i get a email and wont have to loiter all night
