  1. I know the loophole was closed on demerit points not being shared etc but I can't see how they can tell or care how long you have been out of the state. I have cousins in Melbourne, as soon as I cop my first defect off my car goes to get re-registered down south..
  2. Terry for PM!! Seriously.
  3. yeah i thought so too, nice to hear my instincts werent too off. All those shots are beautiful fongy but that one is the most interesting, slight tilt shift? so much depth..the car practically pops out of the shot!
  4. hmm also this one. 6am sunday in my local park, always a few drunks sleeping it off..
  5. was just going to quote the post for truth but had to include the photo as well....so beautiful..left it a while before i checked into this thread and regretting it. Some truly awesome stuff in here and it makes me feel pretty silly kicking off a Feb thread with my amateur bumblings. as for the watermark issue, i dont know how to remove the things so if nothing else it stops punks like me uploading it to their facebook car albums..not that im pretending they are mine or anything. Just have a few thousand pics of gorgeous cars i like to share. The 350z could have been one of them...sigh.
  6. came here to add to a feb thread and found there wasnt one. hope its not out of line to kick one off now? heres 2 similar shots i took with my tiny instant camera on the way home from the gym second one is framed better or? in the shakespeare hotel and on redfern st, if only i could have kept it straight and had a decent lense. was in a hurry as i didnt want to be weird stalky camera guy for too long.
  7. yup paid 25 bucks for one yesterday! now to go pay SAU for the texi.. /edit monies paid but the PDF form doesnt allow me to type on it so can i throw my details in here? patrick hamilton Skyline R33 gtst rego HOONS lic 12694462 um CAMS licence is in car so will update that a bit later. cheers
  8. name of facebook group? who is going to kick start the proceedings? sounds good to me but as mentioned some clear goals would be useful. we could just go over the top on the civil rights/equality for imports angle. A clear one size fits all guide as to what mods are legal like boz suggests alongside a campaign for EQUAL RIGHTS on the road. oh and btw 'street driven with grace et al, can someone put that on a sticker for me? WANT!
  9. thanks duncan, i hate ebay so no buying other than the extinguisher itself from supacheap etc would be great Im assuming this bracket thing you mention comes with the extinguisher?
  10. lurking in this thread and loving where its headed, keep the spirit strong guys! has anyone from HPI/autosalon etc been contacted re some kind of campaign? i multi club meet would be awesome, maybe around the same time this club time attack shoot out is happening? oh and a tag-line is a great idea! whoever comes up with the best one wins internet and community fame forever. hmm bumper sticker style? "you can pry the keys to my skyline from my cold dead hands" "cruising is not a crime": "Defect free since 03'" not great ones but just kicking things off

  13. still not paid because im a lazy bastard but keen as to go, have 3 helmets i can bring if anyone wants me to take them along? whats this about fire extinguishers, optional right? how are the numbers looking peeps?

  16. watched all of the vids in here so far and im quite happy the S14 zenki one is a little meh though, first half of the one above it could have been chopped though. God damn i want a Pagani..
  17. ^^ Unfortunately cops are himan and generalise/make mistakes as much as anyone else. Still there should be something in place to stop too many of them slapping unjust defects on cars which are actually perfectly legal. Im sure there are a lot of cops who are careful about what they put on the notice but others seem to just write all kinds of silliness on there and you end up paying a fine whether its legit or not. your idea of a list of said fines getting overturned would be interesting to see indeed. anyway saw this link decent vid www.youtube.com/watch?v=q5X7g1j817Y /edit , seriously why do none of my utube links work?
  18. oh god this is so begging for video footage, did you get your stuff back at least?
  19. wheres my PM on what i should write to mine chunky? oh and like hey, totally agree on this campaigning for equal rights, i dont think its exaggerating to use that term when we are getting pulled over day in day out based soley on our 'appearance' rather than actual behaviour. Ironically i am guilty of the same kind of generalisation in my role as a train guard, if i see a bunch of kids leaning out of the train at every stop with their flat caps and little scooter things then of course im going to pay more attention to them than other passengers. however im not going to roll up on them and slap them around/kick them off the train until i actually SEE them do something wrong. In our case we are being pulled over and harrassed regardless of our actions. sounds like discrimination to me, and why not buy into the current PC lingo? if it works for the other minority groups (which even though there is a lot of us, to be honest we are a minority, and unfortunately a splintered one at that) in for petition, next track day in nsw is on the 12th of feb, someone want to bring one to that and get fifty or so signatures? edit/just read the boost cruising thread. is someone from SAU QLD going to get in touch with ACA and show them how its done properly? odd that the story was filmed in sydney and the follow up is in Brissie, still we have responsible folks up there dont we? ...
  20. Well i see where your going with that post and in a perfect world you would be right. unfortunately at least in this part of the world that is not the case, cops often pull over cars based purely on the fact that they look fast but cost less than a hundred grand ..and more than half the time seem to give defects out based on no evidence whatsover. The number of stories i have heard on here and in RL about people being defected for STOCK parts on their car is just ridiculous, the only solution is to have only trained HWP who are also mechanically qualified to be able to hand out defects for anything under the bonnet. Tyres running on no tread (other than semi slicks of course) and other obvious things go nuts, but the discretion given to them is clearly being abused and something needs to be done to reign it in. /end rant
  21. yeah did you hear how old they were? you'll see them parked across the road from you next week if they were minors..
  22. All my rage are belong to you Australian HWP and sensationalist media..
  23. i reckon the seats would be good to go, can see at least one sticking out of the wreckage. Mint condition.
