You get an option notice. You can either lose the licence for 3 months or keep it and go on a 12 month "good behaviour bond" and not get any points in that period. If you get a point in the 12 months you lose it for 6 months.
  3. My dude actually still has some paint left over you could help yourself to if it matches....

yes this is true altho while p platers have a max of 12 in 3 years (like everyone else) they cannot get more than 6 in any 12 month period. I dunno if the 6 in 12 months thing has actually come in yet.
  5. The tyre placard just inside the drivers door..... altho mine is different to my mates R33???
  6. Speaking of bring stuff home from japan, try to find a vending machine that sells soiled school girls underwear........
  7. more than 2 inches wider than stock
  8. OK, for all those above who asked questions about wanting things done heres the sitch. I paid for just the paint (he is now my best friend ) which means you guys will have to add a bit of labour on top. Full resprays can be done for around $1600- 1800 providing you dont have major dints that obviously need beating. Mine was dropped off monday morning and collected friday arvo... nice and quick! Putting just a pearl over the top can be done provided the original paint is in top condition (POA). If theres any deep scratches the pearl tends to 'fill' them which highlights them... so not really a good idea. Ordinary clearcoats can be redone without many dramas. PM me for more details :uh-huh:
  9. Just looking at that list above, when I was at vic roads a guy rang up and asked a female operator if he could have RUWET. He was very unsuccessful and now there is a little note on the system banning that plate from ever being used without some managers discretion...
  10. If that plate is taken, they must be very, very lucky that the person at vic roads put it through. If someone complains about that plate they're in trouble. Anything (and I mean ANYTHING) to do with sexual innuendoes/obscenities is usually a nightmare to get. However, if your business name is something like "Craigs Unboring Networks Tutoring Services", you could apply in writing (on a company letterhead) to get "C UNTS".... but most likely it will be rejected anyway.
  11. car park 2 no doubt
  12. For a daily driver, 18s look the best Can I ask how people launch their rockets? 7000 and dump the clutch? 7000 and ease the clutch out? 4000 ease clutch out? etc
  13. The title of this thread does say 'stockish' doesnt it? Stockish to me means a few mods. A few mods implies little money spent. Its not really the dollar value spent, its more the fact that with more money you get more mods, which drags the car further away from being 'stockish'... doesnt it? You say revs car has a lot more power, yet he hasnt got as many mods. I just dont understand why anyone would spend $6k on mods to produce a slower car than some one who has spent $2k. I'm slowly coming to the conclusion that driver ability accounts for more than any mod. On that "MPH is a good indication of a cars potential", could I get a "please explain"? I'm still learning here
  14. photos were taken at a mates place in bulleen... just behind the eastern freeway... he has a white r33. Hes not on the forums...yet
  15. coco: I'll find out hippy: I think it can be put on any colour with the clear coat, how good it'll look is another story. I saw a white gemini with the same blue pearl and it looked kinda... well.. feminine. The pearl is a sky blue so when mixed with black becomes midnight blue. Its pretty mad, some angles its jet black, when the sun hits it, its mnidnight blue
  16. predator: no worries, let me know. meggala: yeah you could call it a practice job, but hes in his last semester and has been working in the field for a few years. The pics dont really do the job much justice.. it looks much better in real life
  17. Yeah he should be able to a few deals. I dunno if you'll get it as cheap as me tho... but prolly not a lot more. I basically paid for paint only so he may add a bit of labour.... I'll find out for ya
  18. If you would spend $6000-7000 to get your "stockish" car going 0.3 sec faster, you certainly have more money than brains. Like I said before I believe that my 60' time could be improved a few tenths making my car almost as fast as yours... for $400! 0.3 of a sec is a reasonable difference if you were running 11s and wanted 10s. Maybe then $6000 on mods could be justified but certainly not when we're talking about a stock 14 sec car running 13s. How is it that rev210 has spent around $2k and is killing most others here who have obviously spent a shit load more???? rev210: Looks like you've reasearched your mods very well :uh-huh:
  19. where abouts??
  20. few more pics...
  21. :D Its the factory black with a blue pearl over the top. Got it done coz a mate at trade school could do it for $1200!
  22. I ran 14.370 @ 98.79, 60' 2.407 with a pod (no cai) and a 3" cat back zorst. I believe that 60' time could come down a few tenths with a bit of practice (I only had 3 runs on the day). I just dont get it. predator666 you've got some decent mods I'm guessing they'd be around $2k rrp? Surely to goodness your $2k mods are more than 0.3sec better than my $400 mods? It looks like you can launch it better than I can also. A question for all: How much did you spend (and on what), and what affect did it have on your times???
  23. I pulled up into a petrol station last week and this fu*kwit backed into my front bumper collecting the headlight lense at the same time. This was 1 week after I had the car resprayed!! Its a fu*king nuisance more than anything else so I say let em pay! As Al said, there may have been more than just visual damage so always get details anyway.
