  1. sorry... simple science... whatever, a 10 second daily driver is kinda a contridiction in terms. Imagine cornering in the wet!
  2. Fuel stores the potential energy that gets combusted and eventully makes the car move. To move the car faster you need to convert more chemical potential energy into mechanical kinetic energy (ie make it more efficient with the same amount of fuel) or alternatively let more fuel and air into the engine to combust (which is gonna be inevitable if were talking a 10 sec car). Getting a car that runs 14s into the 13s could be done by making the engine more efficient (ie aftermarket ECU) without a significant increase in fuel consumption, but to get from 14s to 10s is gonna require a shit load of fuel to produce the power required hence making it a crap daily driver (just one of the reasons anyway). I hope that makes sense...
  3. nigasnt Yeah i know... he also said something about his uncle being on the 32GTR bathurst team??? Thats when he lost me. Altho some of the stuff he was saying made heaps of sense... prolly coz i aint know shite...
  4. fair enough... but it still basic physics, the more power you get the more fuel its gonna drink to get the power.
  5. You did well!
  6. :werd: Sony are cheap for a reason.
  7. 10 sec daily driver... not a very practical one. It would cost $50 in fuel to get to the local shops!!
  8. In vic the coppers can send you to the epa to have an emissions test. If its not right when you go in then your up for a big fine...
  9. I seem to believe you on that one hehe. Was there any difference in fuel consumption tho??
  10. lol. This was actually a guy who claimed to be a race mechanic at an autobarn store?? Some of the stuff he said made sense.... but he denied the existance of the boost solenoid on R33s tho, said something about the second cam kicking in at 4700.
  11. Flywheel questions After the new flywheel went in did you notice an increase in fuel consumption? Also when crusing around town does the car tend to slow down more quickly when you back off the accelerator (ie feels like your towing a small trailer up a hill)? I can see how a light weight flywheel would make the car go faster but how practical is it to do for a daily driver??
  12. I've found a winner! I saw an EB fairmont tonight with a VL turbo badge on it! Thats just blasphemy - nissan engine, holden badge, on a ford!?!?!
  13. Yes, GTR badges should only be on GTRs, but I saw a GTR badge on a Mitsubishi 3000 GT :usuck:!!!! Its not even a Nissan!
