  1. I got done for the mid muffler too. Now I'm in Honda town
  2. I was thinking of getting a hose and spraying the shit out of their balcony and windows and say "the same thing would have happened with lashing rain". But in all seriousness if they do it again I will contact the property management and get them onto body corp.
  3. I come seeking wasteland advice on a neighborly dispute I'm currently having. Myself and a friend moved into an apartment about 4 months ago and we noticed that the people who live above us often empty buckets of water onto the floor of their balcony, which quickly seeps through the floor and ends up on our belongings. ($200 barbeque, $300 furniture set & an $800 wooden foosball table imported from Italy.) There have been a few occasions when we were outside and they have done this and our stuff and ourselves have gotten wet. We have tried to yell out to them to ask them to stop, but here's the catch... They are deaf. Last night after being out with some friends I came home at about 2am and there was water going everywhere all over our balcony. All of our stuff was getting really soaked. At this point I wrote a note saying "Hello, could you please stop emptying your water onto our balcony? It is damaging our belongings that are below you. Thank you." and put it under their door. This morning I had a note under my door saying "Hi, sorry, it's our toddler's little pool used during heatwaves. Move your things in a bit! If it was lashing rain, same thing would happen! We only did it twice and we only empty the pool over night so take your things inside or move stuff further." The thing is it has not been hot for days, our balcony is tiny so we can't move stuff over and I can't take the foosball table apart to fit it through the door every time they decide to empty a pool onto us. I have a feeling that if I try talk to them in person they will ignore us because they are deaf and not very friendly. I have a feeling that if I write another letter explaining I can't simply move our stuff and it has not been wet when it has been lashing rain it may start a cat fight. How would fellow wastelanders deal with this same situation?
  4. So many gangstaz on here. I bought tickets to see The XX, so been listening to them lately.
  5. Back on the sti hatches, one of my mates bought a new one about 6 months ago. Originally I didn't like them but now I do
  6. It's frustrating that the things he defects imported cars for would happen on about 95% of cars on the road. If a cop pulled over just about any car over 5 years old and gave it a detailed inspection they could defect just about anyone. My dad has an X-trail with 4 balled tyres and a cracked windscreen which I keep telling him to fix because it actually is dangerous. He is the type of person the police should be looking out for, but because he drives an X-trail he is invisible. If cops did pull over any sort of car and hand out defects there would be a huge uproar about it and "normal" people would be saying that police need to focus on solving real problems. But by picking on a minority and making import drivers look as stupid as possible on every occasion they can get, these things can happen.
  7. I have a pretty low opinion of the officer in questions. I was treated rather unfairly by him and he was incredibly rude and seemed to be on a power trip. http://www.3aw.com.au/blogs/breaking-news-blog/facebook-page-setup-to-personally-attack-highway-patrol-officer/20121211-2b6fx.html This article actually really annoyed me with the way the writer is so arrogant and ignorant calling people who get defected "idiots" and "knuckle draggers". Since I have been defected more than once, does this make me a hoon, idiot or a knuckle dragger? I have always driven sensibly and have never done any illegal modifications to me car, but it seems that is not enough.
  8. Thought so, mines getting fixed tonight since the old one decided to crack and spray coolant all over my engine. Thank you sir

  14. I had a lecture at uni a few weeks ago where the guest lecturer told us that in this day and age, we shouldn't need a resume to get a job. Appartantly it should all be done by word of mouth and "head hunting". But I had a job interview at ExxonMobil not long ago where I had to bring a resume.. I guess I failed that guest lecturer.
