  1. DYOR Thanks 4 ur sacrifice, looking forward to 8 cents again
  2. The interesting thing with hot copper is that many of the "most discussed" stocks (88E and FAR being examples) were massive money makers for people on the site over the last year or so that I've been watching the forums. As I said before, HC doesn't make the market, but certainly where there's smoke there can be fire. 88E headed for another nice open in anticipation of short term news. It needs to be very good news or I think we will see a drop from the substantial build up, even if the news is positive.
  3. Companies do all kinds of shit and get away with it. ASX is a toothless tiger. There are paid downrampers on hotcopper too. A couple of guys on the 88E forum who spend all day shitcanning the share but never invest in it and you have to wonder why they do that...either bored trolls or it's their job. Doesn't make that much difference though; the market makers have way more influence than HC will ever have on a share price. Evidence of this is a lot of the posts on HC are asking why this and that occurred, lamenting an unforeseen price drop etc. It's rarely introspective discussion of trading behaviour.
  4. In his defence, that shit can happen to any investor on a bad day with decent capital, knowledge or not It's only the inverse of success stories. The alternative outcome would have him asking himself why he didn't put more into it!

  6. Strong unaware of the hooker economy
  7. Lost money either way you look at it...
  8. Damn, could have flown business return + high class hookers for that
  9. Perks of a desk job; I did it a few weeks ago and came out about a grand up to the minor detriment of my actual job. To do it properly you either risk a shitload of cash or you do it with low capital and end up putting in the time for the money anyway just staring at the screen and hitting refresh. There was also a meeting or two at work that cost me profits cause I didn't sell within a 10 minute window, and also those commsec f**kers blocked one or two of my trades. IMO better off short terming (buy one week, sell another etc.) with what you think are the peaks and troughs of short term fluctuations. Very hard to call these on 88e at the moment because we are due for reports/news in August-September and the anticipation is why we are up right now. When it doesn't come it drops. If it comes and it's good and you've sold out or didn't buy in, you can miss a hell of a train. Which is why I'm not selling.
  10. 88e up another .2 cents today It's cool cause even though the profits aren't big I also don't lose much, like the adults playing with the big money Another 3 months of this shit and I can buy a 20 cent bag of mixed lollies...remember those?
  11. If you're the one forming a connection between a thrown banana and a black person, and you're calling the thrower racist...I'm afraid I have bad news for you!
  12. And yeah a 4 bil market cap sounds crazy for a small/micro cap player, but when you're sitting atop near on a billion barrels of oil and every dollar the price of oil rises above your break even mark means an asset value increase of roughly a billion dollars...it's not unreasonable! Not trying to convince anyone to get on board here either, as said earlier I have more to lose from doing that...more stating why I'm convinced on this one.
  13. Now THAT is hindsight! I know of this company called Amazon...you should invest in them...like 15 years ago. Haven't forgotten about XTV either, which seems to be locked in investor limbo.
  14. Dezz got on late and is the first to blame only himself for that, he did the same with Jase's fizzlers. I'm more talking about the people who were actually up at one point but didn't sell out and take profits...weren't you one of them?
  15. Crazy, but we also thought 8 cents was crazy and out of the question when our share was 0.6 cents...those who had faith were rewarded handsomely. So a ten bag from the peak no longer seemed insane to us either. This is speculative investing - big risk big return. And that's before any oil has been pulled out of the ground - pure speculation. Wait til the black stuff actually arrives!
  16. When/if the oil comes out of the ground. You're investing in investment Not your average share/company/operation You're in with them, their jobs and all...either make or break and that's what I love about it. Big risk big return. The company drilled a duster in morocco previously - share price tumbled HARD. Rebranded themselves and found a new operation, but this one at least has oil. Just a question of how to get it out of the ground in a profitable way and when oil will return to a profitable state for unconventional wells. If those two questions can be answered positively in the future, the company assets will be in the billions and revenue will of course follow.
  17. The share will be in the dollar/s before I think about selling Can't say I won't be swayed into selling if it ten bags again though; everyone has a price and I just trust my gut
  18. That's great Volkswagen...you left out the one where you tipped and the company went down like 50% the next day. Still waiting for that 5 bagger too. Selective facts?
  19. That's true, but you couldn't have cashed out and gotten some back if Diaz went down in the third haha Shares are unadulterated gambling, but the hand lasts for as long as you stay invested / company bust. You almost always have a choice in it.
  20. Don't have one right now, but I wouldn't spruik another one anyway...from my experiences over the last 12 months you get not even a thank you when you make people decent money, but cop a lot of shit if they lose it lol That said, I'm all in for 88E, so not looking for other opportunities right now. It's my Fortescue Metals and I'll either lose some savings or come out of it buying a house in cash. The way I see it: I can save more money as needed, but there may not be another 88E in my investment lifetime.
  21. Come on brah...I've told people to get in on 3 occasions before significant rises, the first when it was only 0.7 cents...before it ten bagged up to 7.9 cents. But you keep bringing us those gems.
  22. Subtle
  23. Yeah but if you compound the profit and successfully reinvest, you could see 6 cents and so on. It's a bit of work but we weren't all born with the gift to connect motivated buyers with motivated sellers.
  24. That it is. However if you bought 88e two weeks ago like I did you'd be 30% up right now.
  25. Stockmarket UFC Lay some horses on me, I wanna bet against them
