  1. all irrelevant. unless your going below 6.5 seconds it all feels the same anyways. the difference between 8 and 9 seconds is nothing on the road......only on paper, or if you cant count. just enjoy it, and get a turbo one when you can
  2. i payed 15 for mine, i didnt import it, but im the first local owner. but it was hard.. i only found 2 out of the 7 i looked at that i liked at all. the last was the one i went for. the rest...well most were just plain scary. and all around the same price. just hang out man, the right one will come along local.
  3. ^^^like he said, cleaning can kill anything. and the white rivets that hold it in are not reusable, and generally a good sign that the plate hasnt been tampered with. although that is a strange spot for the VIN plate. but it is an old import i guess.
  4. like the aussie top gear(yes i watched it) where they run the V8 supercar over the sydney harbour bridge...was expecting something cool, but it was quite dull, speed limit all the way.....and the lead up to it was even more boring. i think it took em 3 or more hrs to do 15 km's....
  5. more than any right minded soul could afford??
  6. lol boost. 12 pages of crap repeated (at time of typing). great early morning read
  7. other brother is still pondering, his car needs the engine out and clutch fixed before it drives anywhere. good excuse for him to get it done tho.
  8. nope, first aussie owner. only thing that aint stock is the OLD kenwood cube in the dash, and the turbo timer.
  9. they also have rolls of carpet in the bin. just look for some vaguely clean stuff. jacks and creepers don't roll on carpet or cardboard very well. go the vinyl if you dont mind buying some, or can find some old stuff. try carpet place again, they should have something. depends how much of the floor you want to cover i guess.
  10. good to know . were/are they any good? or of any use?
  11. lol, yeah i love how screwy the world is
  12. yup, seem all sorts of V8's and turbo cars with L plates on em. Northside FTW!!!
  13. theres an app for that????? lol and i got mine comlied, RWC and regoed with a turbo timer.....lol and my little bro has a few mild issues with his alarm and turbo timer getting confused with each other too. but he normally leaves the stereo running so the sub sets the alarm off anyways!! mine apparently has a factory alarm??? says it on the window, and ive managed to set it off while walking away from the car on the way to the shops (looked like a right twat standing next to a car with the horn and lights going off, madly pressing buttons to get it to shutup)....fudged if i know how it works (if it works), but i know it makes noise.
  14. a friend of mine has his rig bolted to a timber saw horse with fold up metal legs. works surprisingly well, and fits neatly infront of his recliners. although the gearstick isnt in the best place then, but not bad for crap all cost, and is easily used again as a saw horse if need be
  15. [quote name=ClutchBurndout-' timestamp='1299630086' post='5705593] what makes it a real head turner? id say the fact that its not trashed, modded to much, or covered in ridiculous stickers. id notice it if i drove past for those reasons alone good luck with the sale looks nice
  16. it does indeed, hows it ride and how long do your tyres last with that camber? awesome photos too
  17. sad isnt it....... i play wow too....bad habbit it is.
  18. i feel ya. in the Formula GT series, my B spec driver would pit on the last lap of every race......even if i told him to pit early to get it over and done with.....almost lost me the dam race/series. all good tho, lvl 35 Bspec=i no longer care about it!!!
  19. yup, did some flying laps in it this arvo...pretty well 1 handed. not easy. but a few suspension tweaks and it becomes a bit more driveable...or should i say soft and predictable??? not sure. crazy car. lotsa fun.
  20. true true. i guess i did do oil and filter and air cleaner, and cleaned up the engine a bit and and and and, at the same time. so it would all add up in the long run.
  21. X2010!!!!! geebus fast....now all i need is a working wrist so i can stand a vague chance of driving it on the track
  22. sweet. thats a good price. really not worth doing it yourself for that. i know where im going next time i need any work done on my boat.
