  1. Guys, PMs man. keep in on topic. Dan, and AdMan, I just bought a new pair of struts today for 75 bucks. matched to genuine spec. AUD. over here in wa. strut specialists. ad, i'm sure they could get one posted over there. look em up!
  2. it's an import dude. bought from the "Japanese Domestic Market. it was JDM they day it was built. you saying it's JDM is just retarded. thanks eskydude. not that i don't trust you, being a stranger on the internet, but could you confirm that? i don't know much about nissan motorsport history - interests me quite severely. thanks though. thank you also pete. shedding some light on topic.
  3. Had to be a 33 owner to give the absolute least input.
  4. I wanted to know what the difference was between an RB20DET-R, and a normal road-going RB20DET. INTERNALLY. the answer i've been given is 'nothing'. all you're saying is that the race and the street version are different - not how. *gives up*
  5. I told you man. 250 for full matt black job, spray gun and all brother. for reals! i swear.
  6. my points have been made, and still mega on topic. topics are b-class registration vs mod permits vs de-rego and tow it around.
  7. ... as an RB20DET. They cannot be the same engine if they're a race-only engine.
  8. if your mods ARE legal, then they are covered. AND are legal. so you won't get stickered. legally. not sure what answer you're looking for. my answer is - nothing. at all. ever. and they're not that fuel hungry if you stay off boost. which is something us responsible, respectable hoons can do quite well.
  9. So, internally an RB20DET-R is the exact same? is that what you're saying?
  10. Because it's f**king awesome? I drive my ceffy everywhere. engine conversion, shocks, fmic, low as shit, will have a half cage with lots of sponsor decals very soon. it will still be daily driven after that. It's either man up and mod permit your car (with the advantage of full comprehensive insurance), or let your wrists flop and get a trailer and tow hack
  11. Fixed so people don't get confused...
  12. Hey guys, just saw an incredible video which I practically exploded over. Mark Skaife's R31 GTS-R race car. RB20DET-R. Yeah I know it's rare as hens teeth. but my question is... why? What is so different about the RB20DET-R that sets it apart from the RB20DET? And how can it rev to a billion RPM without blowing the f**k up? Any info would rock, thanks guys.
  13. Erm.. Might I ask, Why do you not just get modification permits for everything you've done? If borneos freaking mad-dog ceffy could still be driven around happily, why can't yours? It's not hard to comply with regulations dude. the stuff you can't comply with - legal with mod permits. suspension, engine mods, body mods, all that shit. strreeeeettt leeeegaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaalll. all well and good for your mate. not necessarily gonna happen in the same manner as this dude.
  14. no worries, reply when you can. if not, there'll be plenty to go round so don't panic
  15. malaysian manji - i love it! good fun man, good looking car.
  16. Your roads in malaysia can't be worse than the roads I have in the country. "Outback" is what the rest of the world calls it. Still dumped mega low with VERY stiff suspension though. Where do you go drifting, might I ask? Car park or track?
  17. I have actually been reduced to quoting myself to get my own point across.... winston churchill time.
  18. Elsewise i'm heading to strut specialists thursday and asking how much each a pair to be made, could help you out man?
  19. exactly the same. but, supercharger is a very efficient source of power in relation to mechanical power loss (or through drag with turbo). the little amount of grunt you drop from spinning the charger is made up with the increased pressure and air density. resulting in a shitload of awesome. net gain makes things viable. pointlessness doesn't. and he didn't really sound like he was joking. though he probably will defend that, now i've said it. and you missed the point that no automotive A/C system can match the air speed of any supercharging be it blower or turbo. in concept it's retarded. that's all i was saying. besides, kinda wanted to weed out the douches that don't understand any of it. and i'll know who they are because they'll be like "LOL FAG GO DRIVE YOUR MUMS COROLLA LOL". Which I will do. because it takes abuse well.
  20. oh uh.... .... because having a wax coating can be very uncomfortable for dashboards?
  21. haha. some people don't really understand how cars work. Air conditioner compressor saps power from your engine. adding cold air via inefficient mechanics will take the power you're hoping to achieve away from the mix. nic is absolutely correct - it's a retarded modification that would take twenty minutes to do, and ten minutes to explode your compressor. besides, if you're getting a BAR of boost from your air conditioner, something has gone awfully, awfully wrong, and you'll need to start contemplating whether or not you really should have been born or not. lol. you're an idiot. i was at his place the other day. they don't fit. needs different hubs. all of you are perpetuating a thread with idiotic and inflammatory intent, when the thread can now die peacefully . here's why: good news dude. pics?
  22. Not too long to go now ladies and gents!! the victim dash will be heading down thursday, work should start friday on the making of the mould. should be done by the following thursday. then, 30 initial units will be made, 15 in black, 15 in charcoal, taking a few days tops. Each dashmat will come with good quality velcro, and a receipt. custom finishing touches can be organized as an additional service, so if you guys want something that rocks and compliments your car (coloured edging, custom embroidered emblems), PM me and I'm sure I can make it happen! Once the first batch come through, I will post pictures of awesomeness. They'll also be going on eBay at some stage, so stay tuned for updates. Pre-orders welcome - just drop me a PM with name and address, and I will set a mat aside as soon as they arrive. Thank you! --Jason.
