I had a good as hell night. Ended with cheeseburgers from some cool random chick that followed me along morley drive. I guess she thought I knew where I was going. Lucky ay. Shame about dude in 32. saw it as i went past but didn't see any damage, tend to try keep my eyes on the road and some car arse.. though that being said, one of the northam boys was in his VT sc/d 6. and he held corners quite well. guess it was just the one f*ckhead then. I don't think this cruises follies should deter anyone from future open cruises like this though. it was a good cruise, but I think the map let it down. map needs to be perfect so people don't get frustrated and f**k off. know what i mean? anyway, i had fun, other northam/york guys had fun, was worth the trip down. it's true what they say - the weir road is where the bullshit stops!

That's fair. 202 would probably get the same power output as one anyway. I've seen some bloody quick 202s before. Not the point however. RB30DE with custom (bunky) ITBs will be on the cards in a few months time.

I have a total of 6 northam boys coming for this cruise.

Hahahaha, for those who are flaming. GTFO. Input not required. For those saying it's not a good idea - its still an idea. I get myself through work every day by thinking about shit like this, and, fundamentally, its flawed. by rights though, the RB24S DID rev harder than an RB20. thats kinda where it came from. and i thought that given how good the L28 sounds with triple SU's, i could replicate that with an RB. Now i'm just thinking i ITB an RB30DE and fang the f*ck out of it while I build the RB25det. cheaper. easier. probs more fun and more reliable. NA Drift is uncommon to say the least. unfortunate really.

Eoi Dash Mats (group Buy) For A31
Dorigecko replied to Nic_A31's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
Thanks nic! Much appreciated. Note - this dashmat shown is yet to receive its protective and aesthetic edging. once we get it cut to fit, then the edges will go on. Did they give you an ETA when you were there? Theoretically they SHOULD have them made by next week if the original goes in tomorrow. Either way, thanks heaps mate. -
So, I had this stupid idea seeing as how I scored two 350 holleys for nothing, that i could get an RB30 that costs about as much as last nights dinner at the pub, an RB25DE head which can be sourced somewhere, put them all together, and make an RB30DS. First of all - I don't care if it's a good idea or not. Second of all - how f**king awesome would it be? would it rev harder than an injected RB30DE? would it run alright pending tuning or would it simply keel over and die? My plan would be to set up an RB30 in a car, but rip off the top half of the manifold and all things to do with injectors, then fit the two carbys, utilizing the throttle cable or, just having one made up, then having a linkage between the two carbys. what exactly would i supposedly need to rip off for it to run? could i rip out ALL of the computer and wiring harness? or would that f**k with sensors and such?

Please note, dear members. DRIVE CAREFULLY. We do not want any problems with the law, or to have to call any tow trucks or ambulances. Edit: I'll be using my nice, clean, 'driving it like i drive it every day' rims. ANother edit: Also, dudes. be careful of the bikes. great that they're coming, just don't be douches around them. otay?

Spark Plugs,can They Affect Idle?
Dorigecko replied to aleisha's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
plugs are plugs. so longs as they're in the right heat range they're fine. what part number are the plugs? should be a heat range of 5 or 6. some people will tell you that you HAVE to buy platinums, other people will tell you that they do nothing. doesn't really matter... the increase in gap would normally make it miss as the standard coil packs don't put out enough juice to spark anything past 1mm. most people do .9mm (standard gap). RB20s have 1.05mm gaps, so if you've got 1.1 it shouldn't be TOO bad. Shouldn't really touch the idle screw man.. What else has been touched? -
Just received word that everybodies mate Kermit will be attending this cruise.

EITHER WAY. Best way is to get some INOX penetrant, but any good penetrant will do. get a coarse bastard file and cut two sides onto the nut if you can, then bust the vicegrips (as said by the harbinger of sand-dune doom) on as tight as humanly possible (may require about two or three CNUA's or 'Chuck Norris Units of Awesome's), and try tightening the nut a little bit before you loosen. doesn't need to be far. if it doesn't go any tighter, get more inox, let it sit in, then battle it out. may need breaker bar like was said before also. if all else fails - bolt cutters off of the strut top, and worry about fixing that later.
-
cooler won't make a difference i don't think. Check your AFM for starters, make sure it's working. Either find another to use, or rip yours off and get it tested out. if it's working, fit the FPR. if that does NOTHING, welll... you had to fit it either way. so, win win. process of elimination - check your plugs too. specifically check them for detonation. have you tuned or had it tuned since the fitment of the new fuel pump?

If it will help your sale, This, people, is what this car could look like even lower:

Dorigecko replied to SL33K's topic in Western Australia
LOL. This thread is f**king awesome. Wonder how many more pages it'll go on with people bringing A31s back up. Joe, it wouldn't be hard to stalk you. All I'd have to do is find the only R33 in WA that has trouble driving over speed humps without stalling -
