  1. +1 for Decent set of tyres. When i bought my GT-R it had terrible Nankangs on it. Going from Brisbane to the sunshine coast over here in QLD i put my GT-R in RWD before it started raining and accelerating from 110 - 120ish it tried to send me backwards down the motorway.... in 5th gear. When in AWD though traction allows you to annhilate anything and everything. Cheers, Mitch.
  2. If you guys are going tonight, speed camera on milton road. No I didn't get done, just a heads up Cheers, Mitch.
  3. Sorry Ash Didn't mean to. Cheers, Mitch.
  4. Sort of depends on how much damage your willing to accept then. There should be a way to quantify exactly how much the reversion slows the wheel down, but it probably wouldnt mean much unless you could whack it on a dyno for back to back comparisons. Cheers, Mitch.
  5. Just be careful, There is an argument for or against but what I've always been told is that it is not ideal for turbo longevity nor perfomance.
  6. I do engineering at QUT but i live right round the corner from UQ... probably keen for a cruise when the GT-R is back on the road.
  7. I've got a set of Xforce on my GTR currently making 330rwkw and hope to be pusing 400-450kw through soon. I wouldn't spend money on dumps given what i've got unless you could see a serious improvement. Cheers, Mitch.
  8. How does everyone feel about HKS hypermax ?
  9. When we're talking ceramic coating of all the hot bits, what sort of gains are we talking 5 , 10 hp ?
  10. I have a 4" HKS exhaust on my 32, and its fairly loud, like well over the limit at idle and once you get up higher into the rev range it sounds magic, however its a very expensive exercise from a child support sort of angle, I don't know how many kids i've conceived accidentally giving it the full bananas in front of an attractive lady
  11. Correct, Saw one last night city bound on coronation drive.
  12. I would like to be able to run 2 stage, have high low settings, i've heard some of the models can change boost settings in each gear >? scramble boost is a pretty cool little trick but it isnt necessary. Cant really fauly the Blitz SBC R for the price at the moment.
  13. I have got a PFC hand controller, im slanting towards the blitz dual SBC R at the moment, i dont really think i can justify paying 300 more for the eboost 2, is it that much better ?
  14. I've heard the PFC control kit isn't all that great, im looking for something that will hold high boost ~20 - 28 psi and has High low boost settings, wastegate preload etc.
  15. Hey Boys and Girls, In the market for a new boost controller as I'm only running a GFB bleed valve at the moment. Did a search through the form for what people think of various controllers and didnt really find alot of info. So im just looking for what people have used and found to be good etc etc. Car is 32 GTR, forged, bigger turbos, lost of boost etc etc. Note:I'm running PFC with Z32 AFM to be added soon and would greatly prefer stay with the FC. Cheers, Mitch.
  16. Yeah i heard 60 days.
  17. Legend ! Thanks mate appreciate it ! Cheers, Mitch.
  18. Hey Guys, searched around the QLD transport website and coulnd't find what im after, I just need to know how long after your car runs out of rego do you have to renew it before your required to get a RWC ? Cheers, Mitch.
  19. +1 Yes indeedy, i had a knock reading of 120 randomly one day doing about 200kph, this was after consistantly never reading over 20 so probs like R31Nismoid said just a cell need a little love Cheers, Mitch.
  20. Thanks for the replies guys, I should have stated earlier that if i could get more lift i would, however i'de like to be sure that the pistons don't need to be 'scalloped' in order to accomodate great lift (>10mm). As I've stated earlier I dont want to go above 9000 RPM as the valve train is rather standard apart from the changes I've listed, STATUS is right though, i need to put gears on it to take full advantage, this i will do shortly as the car is up on stands anyway... Cheers, Mitch.
  21. This is true, a VL commodore is the shit as far as tow cars go right ? imagine all the babes you'de get
  22. Everyone knows it's the girth(bore) thats important and we 26 owners can match any of you dirty 30 fiends in that respect
  23. I have been advised it was not ideal (everyone has an opinion) Lol, however I do understand the benefit of 'scavenging' my main issue was that it could perhaps make the engine less friendly at lower RPM however unless we are talking gutless under 5k etc, I can live with it for the benefit of huge top end power @ around 8500 RPM. I guess my question is what do i lose or gain by going either way ? Thanks for your responses guys Cheers, Mitch.
  24. No sorry i meant -5 and used bigger as an example So you think the 272's are worthwhile for the bigger punch through the top end, I just would like to keep it to sensible sort of revs like 8-9k Rpm or are these two mutually exclusive.
