  1. Great post Ash. With respect to the steering wheel, if the OEM wheel had an airbag, then an aftermarket one must also. Any aftermarket wheel must be shown to comply with ADRs or it will not get through.
  2. If any?
  3. But Pawley, "how many dudes you know flow like this????"
  4. Oooooooh, that's harsh.
  5. Wrong side of town for you Chapman - Anderson Walk is out at Smithfield, about 20kms North of town.
  6. In SA, you own the rights to the plates, even if they are not on a car. So, you can continue to renew the plates without displaying them, and no-one else can use them. Hope this helps chops
  7. Sure they are. Just providing info for anyone considering this.
  8. Any wheel spacers not fitted by the manufacturer are ILLEGAL in South Australia.
  9. I believe steel wheels are part of the GCG highflow process. You only want to take your turbo off once right Andrew...
  10. Story HERE Pictures HERE Sure, a lot of us never liked the car, but flames aside (oops, pun!) you would be spewing.
  11. WAY cheaper to sell your car and buy a turbo version. Especially if you want your car to be legal in SA, or have insurance. EDIT: If you're going to go to the expense, then (as Dayne mentioned) go with the RB25 or 26.
  12. Strawberry face, you know you want to!
  13. How weird to see Batman so skinny! Just read an interview with him on the net about how he went through losing all the weight. As for the post count - I like that they're hidden, shouldn't even be used I reckon. Quality, not quantity. Post whoring is for pre-teens with nothing better to do.
  14. You would not be the first person to be defected for the factory BOV. Right or wrong, a defect does not need to be something they KNOW does not comply, only something they SUSPECT does not comply. The onus is unfortunately on drivers in SA to prove something DOES comply, rather than the police to prove it does not.
  15. This story just gets funnier every time I hear it!!!
  16. You're not the first person to suggest this to him either....
  17. I believe it's not a cheap process. Not sure about level 3. Firstly, you have to be a member of a CAMS affiliated club. There is more info HERE. They don't make mention of a "level 3" licence as such, but I think the categories below the level 2 licences are all classed as level 3. You need medical examinations and a whole host of things. I believe you also have to compete regularly in CAMS affiliated events in order to maintain such a licence. Hope some of this info is helpful. chops
  18. Best of luck with it mate, I hate how it's so hit and miss. They should be required to do a THOROUGH inspection and list EVERYTHING they can find that doesn't comply, so you don't have this crap where people are heading back 3 and four times to get a car through.
  19. Hi there sky30! Saw you running yesterday, but didn't get a chance to come say G'day! Car looks nice mate. Your mph is up there, and with more traction 11s are calling. What sort of 60's were you running. We all commented that it was hard for you to get it off the line cleanly. Look forward to hearing about the improvement.
  20. Is that all they picked? To be honest, I would have preferred they gave you a bigger list of things - almost makes me think they are going to do it again next time you go back... just to be "nice". Best of luck anyway mate, hope it all goes very smoothly next time.
  21. So you're coming? WICKED, WICKED! sky30, be interested to see your car run. You say you ran 117mph with 190rwkw? That mph seems VERY high for the power, a typo maybe? (107mph?) If not, maybe the power figure is low. (all this assumes your car is std weight.) Anyway, on street tyres, we're definitely in for a show with your new power figure. I've seen a few guys try to get that kind of power off the line on street tyres, and it's not easy. Best of luck, and we'll catch you tomorrow!
  22. I also notice Duc DID eventually get his car out!!! I wouldn't trust that bloke in the first picture though, looks like a shady character, the red eyes give it away!!!
  23. Unfortunately not Duc, $17 for spectators. Gates open 9am, racing starts at 10 (they say, so probably 10:30.).
  24. I'm probably going to head out to watch, but won't be racing. Will try to drag a couple of other forum members out to watch too (you know who you are). If we see you we'll have to come say g'day. chops
  25. Yes, parking sucks at Ash's place! No skids out the front either!!!
