  1. It was while driving on the motorway, im pretty sure i did past 8000, what id like to know is how to set the power fc hand commander to rev cut at even less funnily enough - 7500
  2. Hey guys, i wanted to set the rev cut to 7500 on mine, currently its at 8000.....how can i set it to 7500 on my hand commander, my tuner told me its really easy and somethingi can set up myself. Also, i didnt know what it was set at before, and i was driving it hard once, and the car kind of jerked really badly (after going high reves, possible over 8000), was that my rev cut doing this, is it safe to hit rev cut...i guess its better than going over the rev i guess.......   3. would i be dreaming to think i could get an 11sec pass with 310awkw r33 gtr in full street trim minus spare tyre?and toyo t1r street tyres (non semi slick etc...)???
  4. im running n1 turbos and they are extremely responsive for the street, i couldnt believe how progressive the power delivery is......they dont seem to run out of puff as well, and will hold boost nicely all the way to 7000rpm:)

Thanks everyone, just got my car tuned, and it doesnt make more power after 7000, so i was thinking 7300rpm rev cut, would that be safe, what happens if i reach rev cut, and does it do damage to the motor (surely its better than over revving when you are going hard...) Also, the n1's run out of punch after 6500-7000 anyway...
  6. Hey guys, ive jst had my car tuned, and looking at the readings on the hand controller, i know what all but the knock level means.....when i start the car the reading gives me knock = 3...is this bad?

  8. How do you mean rolling diameter, and having different thickness spacers front and rear wont make a difference??? thanks
  9. Will i be able to fit hub centric wheel spacers on my r33 gtr without losing handling performance?? also will the atessa system like it if i were to have different size spacers front and rear, ie 15mm front, 25mm rear as an example? Is it worth doing, anyone else doing it without problems?

Im always real paranoid about these things, and i dont have a torque wrench as well which is bad for people like me Anyway, i handtightened it, then used the ratchet to tighten it more - not excessively more but still with a little force..... Ive driven it for awhile and no leaks but i get paranoid doing these things myself.... Same applies to the oil filter....how tight, i do hand tight, then tighten more with the oil filter catch kit.

Got my r33 gtr tuned yesterday and was suprised at how much power i made.... stock rb26 motor with r34 n1's etc.....i made 314awkw with 85% injector duty cycle...i fitted cam gears but they werent tuned at all.....now im thinking i wasted time buying them.... mods: 044 pump exhaust and dumps 555cc inj arc panel and box filter r34 n1s stock internal motor bleed valve for boost in and ex cams apexi powerfc and h/c I was told to get an ebc next time to hold the boost better, and also get bigger injectors for more power. What do you guys reckon? ps boost comes on the same time as the factory ecu did, and that was better than with stock turbos i had prior so im happy there....

What could this be?......i just got the car back yesterday, and my mechanic just changed the cam gears, when the motor is off, there's a bubbly noise coming from inside the motor (under the rocker cover), and it had lost some water aswell......i guess since he would have had to do timing belt at the same they would have had to bleed the system, and they may have not done it so.....???/ please help, my mechanics going to have a look at it today and i dont want it to be anything big.
  14. Need some help, my goal is a street responsive r33 gtr with ~300awkw and driven daily with a stock internalled motor....is this likely with my mods, and how safe am i??? R33 GTR Vspec '95 Stock internal r33 gtr motor (very healthy compression) Nismo N1 R34 Ball bearing turbos Bosch 044 Fuel Pump (mounted internally) 3" Exhaust into Xforce Dump Pipes ARC Cold Air Panel and Cold Air Box Stock Intercooler Trust In. and Ex. Cam Gears Nismo 555cc Injectors Apexi PowerFC and Hand Commander That's all i can think of, i'm going to be getting it tuned on Moday (can't wait:), and be running 98 Octane..... All i'm hoping for is near ~300awkw mark, i hope i'm not dreaming, car is running n1's right now, feels quite good as it is, but don't know how much power it's making (never been dyno'd)..... Anything else i may need to help with my power goal, or will this list suffice. P.s: If i ask the guys to not tune for big power, but for all out response, will they do that???

Hey guys, just got as Bosch 044 fuel pump fitted to my rb26, and now the car is running rich, and chewing gas like nothing else, it was doing this beforehand as well, but now its doing it that much more.....ive setup the pump as the only one, and mounted it internally. Now my plan in the next month is to get it tuned, and im making sure ive got everything i need before doing so, i think ive got everything now, and im aiming for 300-320rwkw, ...will i need a Fuel pressure regulator or not (i want to save money if i can)..... heres the mod list so far: rb26dett r33gtr - stock internals nismo n1 turbos (r34 ball baring) arc cold air box, induction kit 3" exhaust, + xforce dumps Bosch 044 fuel pump nismo 555cc injectors i also have some adj in and ex cam gears (greddy), that i was thinking of fitting, would this be worthwhile considering labour would be quite major to install these gears....

Hey guys, im tuning my car to ~500hp, i dont know what setup to do though, and how to go about it all....im aiming for max 350awkw in the future, and i have a few options: 1) retain the stock fuel pump, and use the 044 as an added external for surge?... sell the 040 i have 2) put in my current 044 as main, and 040 as surge....sell the stock pump 3) Install the external 044 and be done with it, sell my stock pump and my 040 which i was going to use and use only the 044 as the only fuel pump. I dont wnt to do anything i dont need to for the power delivery, as its getting done by a mechanic which means added lab our:(. cheers
  18. thanks, wil, be able to get a hard cut out set at say 7500-8000 so i dont do any damage it if accidentally run past the rev limit when taking it around the track etc?

  21. I think i'll keep at 300rwkw, and get use to the power, than go for more after in the future when i have more $$$, and a built motor.... My goal is response, which is key for me, will 300rwkw be plenty enough for a Street Gtr, thats close to 500hp is it not?
  22. Thanks - i mite just advise the tuner i dont want any more than 300rwkw in that case, since i want my motor to last, as i just dropped a new one in.

Here are my mods (yes this is a repost, but different subject altogether)....please keep this thread mods:) R33 gtr rb26dett motor in r33 gtr - Stock internals (as far as im aware) R34 N1 turbos Bosch 044 Fuel Pump Nismo 550cc injectors 3" Exhaust into Aftermarket Dump Pipes Arc Induction Panel and Arc Box Stock Intercooler Stock Headgasket Apexi Powerfc and Hand Controller I advised a very highly recommended tuner of my car and mods etc....and said i want a very safe reliable tune, and wanted to know how much power i could make reliably..... There answer - a safe/reliable 350kw at the wheels, now i was thinking more around the 300kw at the wheels safe power goal....this extra 50kw at the wheels has made me hesitant to go there now, as i think its a bit much on a stock motor? What do you guys think of this? go to another tuner??? From my readings and with my mods on a stock motor, i was told ~300-320 is a very acheivable figure safely...with stock internals... Thanks in advice...
  24. Thanks, yeah r34 n1 turbos, so 7000 is a good limit to set...is it good practice to tune my car with a rev - cut at say 7000 or just over in my case??? In my situaiton, sometimes when im driving the car hard i drive over 7k sligtly, not alot though, but now im getting used to learning to shift up faster:)
