yep ..... i read somewhere commodore is releasing a 10 speed gearbox... wont be long before all the money is in gearbox rebuilding...bit crazy..even now you find a lot of old hi-end euros,. people paid quarter of a mil for worth nothing because nobody wants to spend 15k on a new gearbox... not only that you cant even tune most of them cause they have too much computer control over everything.. good marketing by the car makers i guess, because people are forced to just buy a new model instead of modifying old ones... pretty stupid really unless you have money to burn you're better off with an old commodore...

haha I was wondering where this post was...2 years and 30+ cars since I bought that machine and its finally died... this is the car that killed it.. i will probably buy another one it served me well... before half / half done

nah i meant removing it down the track when its hard..like in a few months....I will try it when i can... yep still using menzerna, works well for 99% of jobs though need something a little tougher sometimes,,..used a big foot a few weeks back its a bit wild..lol... was an old model and it wasnt variable speed though...does a good job but its a f**king jackhammer...my arms were going numb

where u work? those 22ple type products are hard to remove aren't they..i haven't tried them yet, have been meaning to, im still an old fashioned carnuba fan I have a rotary as well, you're right its heaps quicker use it for big panels mainly..the little one is good to have for everything else though..seems like the das6 and 900 are the only small buff options we have in that price range...everything else is 400$+ 300c was well scratched up...it had been through an auto brush wash most of its life...could well be ceramic it was tough paint...just a 2 stage buff on it.got 80-90% of imperfections out....still took 9 hours cause the size of the thing...lol

nice...that red always does that...its a shocker...but gives good results when polished up so what machine did you buy ? This is the car that killed my buff the other day...time for a new one...

quick pic of my latest assignment....anyone thats detailed one of these will know what a huge job it is... was all scratched up from auto car washes, I spent a whole day just on paint and wheels, could of easily spent another day too.. I'm pretty happy with the results though and at last after about 30 cars later my Concourse 900 buff died ...I'm gunna miss it

am in the market for new little buff myself now...my Waxit one just died ...its done about 30 cars so cant complain...

see Aaron knows it was pretty bad, scratched up n shit..not something I could fix in an afternoon...but had a crack at it... then after taking about 4 million photos I find out I need a new camera cause they are nearly all blurry... I also advised him to invest in some black paint for them wheels...

its aids man....you can't take an old model, slap new style headlights and shit on it and expect it to look good...you now have a curvy front and rear end on a car that is still box shaped in the middle its ridiculous....Just like the VT it was ugly, they upgraded to vx and it looked a little better....because the lights were still round and suited its all round style... then... in anticipation of the new VE ,they created the VY-VZ by slapping square headlights and triangle taillights on what was still a curvy VT body..it looked f**king horrible...Luckily for Holden most people are blinded by the abnormally larger thing under the bonnet and don not realize how blatently lame their styling cues are... ...

i thini its purpose is to be a PITA everytime you want to work under your car....just another thing in the way
