11,000kms with a crack that big which looks like its been there for over 1000kms! You think Nissan would replace it with no questions asked! Maybe if you lived in Japan it would be a different sorry...

if day light savings ended early then this might of not even happened as they would of had their headlights on...you would see light over that small hill.

Problem fixed - I replaced the diff oil and ran in the new oil by going in left and right circles for a few mins and the diff shutter has gone. I wasnt sure if it was because the diff was warmed up at the time the noise went so I tried going around a few tight corners this morning....noise isn't there! The oil that came out was nearly black....was due for a change lol

Check under the car to see if oil has been dripping when driving....if it has oil will be everywhere underneath near the exhaust etc. Or as R31nismoid said, whoever did your last oil change forgot to add the extra 1 to 2 litres! hopefully you havent done any damage to the bearings in the engine....last thing you want is a big end bearing to go!

I work opposite where this happened, that intersection has a blind spot from oncoming traffic as there is a small hill before the intersection. Anyone driving in any car would of got hit if they pulled out with cars coming down the hwy at that speed....you would have 2-3 seconds tops before seeing someone! The next day in the same spot I see people going 80 to 90k over that hill....no one gives a shit about speed limits in Dandenong!

From what i know nothing is connected to the gearbox that could change the RPM. Your not pressing the brake when you do it? Using power to light up the brakes can drop the RPM if you have a shitty battery or alternator...

might as well rebuild the engine while your at it mate lol - if your going to keep it for a while anyway

ring him up and ask wtf he is talking about lol or take it to another place if there is one close by

unplug the AFM when the car is running, if the engine is still running then it could be AFM....car is meant to die straight away when unplugged. Also because you gave the car a squirt you could of blow a piping off or a slightly came off....normally when IC piping comes off you will know about it lol gives a big bang

Sounds like a loose earth maybe, check the battery terminals and stater motor wiring, hopefully its nothing more!
