  3. Hey Everyone, Well i decided to attempt to install a biltz FATT into my 32 gtr to save a bit of cash, Anyway ive hooked the the 4 wires up 1 for constant 12v and 1 for accesories, and aslo 1 for the "ON" and the earth wire also all to there right colours of course ect, i know there is 3 other wires that go to the speed sensor on the ECU, and handbrake wire and one for automatics which i didnt hook up any of those 3 , but ive been told i dont need to hook them up as i just want a countdown mode only, well here the problems lies well when i go to switch the car off the engine stops and the the turbo timer turns off also which is what i dont want it to do so its got me, could it be how i have wired it or the turbo timer is faulty? But any help would be greatly appreicated Thanks

  7. i had my car at the workshop today and the mechanic realised that there was a problem with the clutch fan. when the car got to high revs the fan itself looked like it was made of rubber swaying all over the place looked like it was about to come off. has anyone had this problem before and whats the best thing to do about it and does a rb30 fit the rb25. any suggestions would be great cheers ben.
  8. when i change my coolant i just fill the radiator with pure concentrate so it mixes in with left over water stuck in the engine gives about a 50/50 mix and just top it up with concentrate.
  9. i could be few things mate, struts, shockies ect ect may need a wheel alighment id take it to a suspension place or tyre place they should soon find the problem.
  10. its a little cog inside that turns the odometre it would be missing a tooth or something they just get fragile after awhile some times they even break there are not many places that fix them. there is 3 in qld not sure how many in nsw looking about 50 to 100 bucks to fix only half hour job. easy money.
  11. could be the airflow meter or a crook plug maybe. best bet take to a mechanic they will soo track it down. were bouts you from i could recommend someone good.
  12. i had the same on mine too, just got some autosol from repco and gave it a bit of a polish it came up ok but its just hard to get in tight places. i used a dremel with a little polisher on the end and had to do a bit by hand.
  13. i got my car back today and it wasnt the belt that was making a noise it was the idler pulley bearing had gone. so i got a new timing belt, new belt tensioner, new idler pulley and all new fan belts it has fixed the problem and very quite now but 500 bucks later you may aswell get it all replaced why they are there, the most costly part was the idler pulley it does the least amount of work it was 250 bucks from nissan with discount. cheers
  14. But, Repco quoted me $46 for a Z200 fuel filter so I went next door to Supercheap and got one off the shelf for $9.99. that would have to be a mistake there for sure 46 bucks for a commodore fuel filter.
  15. i work for repco and the other day i went to my local super cheap(full of school kids) and asked one of them if they sold mothers plastic cleaner for my head lights (repco does not sell it any more) this fella couldnt give me a straight answer kept saying u could use this and this bla bla bla, i told him dont worry about it and i eventually found it. i dont think they have a clue some of them.
  16. i took it to my mechanic today and he seems to think it is the timing belt tensioner. so its having a new belt, tensioner, ect fitted on monday if that is the problem, ill let you know how it goes. he said that when the engine is reved it puts load on the tensioner thats why its making a noise the bearing inside is had it nothing serious i hope.
  17. i heard a slight vibrating noise coming from underneath my timing belt cover the engine has done 85k it only happens at about 2k revs its not that loud as yet but its a bit worrying i think it mite be the timing belt i dont know. if anyone one could give some suggestions it would be great. cheers. p.s its rb25det
  18. hey steve, ive only had mine for a few weeks now and its auto too. i know what you mean by the thing down the highway but i dont why mine does the same i think it has to do with the auto box. i put a pod k&n with a heat shield around it with the factory induction thing aiming down on to it i did notice a difference with it though compared to the factory airbox for a auto they still go good. im not sure if it is true though but with a auto when the turbo spools up it keeps spooled up until u take your foot of the pedal which make it better for your turbo i think. even though they are a auto i still enjoy driving them as much as a manual and im sure you will to. cheers ben.
  19. isnt there more important things to worry about then what car is quicker from factory eg. what suits your needs whats made well ect
  20. You dont say. why dont you compare a n/a falcon and a n/a 34 see whos better you missed the point.
  21. Dont forget you are comparing a standard r34 which is a base model skyline in japan. when the xr6t is a advanced model here some thing you pay extra 4 if u know what i mean.
  22. it says in skyline manual 30 sec just driving round town 1 min highway driving and 2 min if you been driving it hard or its been under load i set mine at 3 min just to be safe.
