  1. Yeah I wouldn't be giving that exhaust up either. Couple of resonators are worth a shot.
  2. Damn I just bought 2 CV joint boots for $80 each. Nasty price for a bit of rubber and some grease. I want in on the trade price business!!! Damn you Nissan.
  3. Hi guys done a bit of a search and cannot find any info on this. Simple question - Does anyone know if the B pillar floor brace for a HCR32 as listed on the JJR website fit my 89 R32 GTR? Read plenty about how they do nothing. But got some credit with JJR so just thought I would buy a bling fire exstinguisher holder Cheers, Tay
  4. The shafts (well in fact the entire coilover) looks in really good condition. No scoring, no obvious leaks. Guess I need to take them to an honest workshop who will test them first before saying hand over some bulk cash and we'll re-valve them for you. Springs will definately need changing which by all accounts should not be a big deal. All options = money $$$ though. In the end if it is more than say $1500, then I may as well sell both my existing set-up, and these circuit masters and get a brand new set of height adjustable super streets. But my preference is to keep these obviously. Are Fulcrum in WA? Or anyone know of a place that can do them in WA??
  5. Damn, I suspected as much. These are Type RA also. Looks like I'll have to get them re-valved and perhaps change the springs while I'm at it. Any idea on cost anyone? Rough idea is fine so I know what I'm up for at least.
  6. I currently have Tein super street Type NA - non height adjustable. So an update on this...... We adjusted the damper to the softest setting and had a bit of a drive and tested a few more increments along the way. As expected the harshness was improved, but still too hard to be liveable with on the street. In the end we swapped them out for new super streets and smiles all round. Much better. So now it's back to what do I do with these circuit masters. If I can source softer springs, provided the dampers are fine (which I think they are) - will this be ok? I'm keen to keep hold of them as they are a full aluminium body, significantly lighter and appear to be better quality all round.
  7. Hey guys, I've got access to some height adjustable Tein circuit master suspension. Being taken out of my brothers R32 GTR - to be replaced with super streets. I was wondering what (if at all possible) I could do to make use of these. Haven driven his car, I can tell you they are rediculously hard. You can feel every bump at all speeds, but what is most concerning is, when you are at high speed > than say 150km/h it is just outright dangerous! The car just bounces up and down like a kangeroo - very unsettling feeling. Anyway these are my questions? 1) On the softest setting of damper will this make any difference to harshness? I think not having read plenty of threads already. 2) Can I change the springs to something with a reasonable rate 8/6 or 6/4 (I understand they are 12/10 now). It's also possible that the dampers are dead also right - so I can get them rebuilt if necessary. They look very fresh so I think they will be ok. 3) Having said that, is all this worth the time/effort/money? Or just buy new suspension myself. By the way I have Tein coilovers at the moment which are a perfect set up but the ride height is not to my liking. And sadly they are not eight adjustable. I'm confident I can move these on for a reasonable price. As for my usage - the car will very very rarely see any track use. Just spirited road use plus the odd trip to the skid pan and drags. Tell me what you think....any comments much appreciated. Cheers, Tay
  8. Bump and price drop. Now $310 each delivered. Need these gone so I can buy other gear. ****No longer available - JJ have kindly accepted an exchange.
  9. Item: 2xZ32 AFM's (Bosch) both with Tomei plugs included Condition: Brand new - purchased from Just Jap on 13/11/07 Price: $310 each delivered (same price for perth pick-up) Location: Perth Contact: PM me or ring 0411 657 552 Comments: Absolutely nothing wrong with these, I bought them by mistake for a GTR but realised (a little too late) that they have the 80mm housing. So instead of purchasing new adapters and pods to match I'm going to move these on and get Nismo 65mm ones to suit the GTR. This is cheaper than you'll gte from Just Jap (got receipts as well). Price is firm. Post up if you are interested - Not if you want to direct me to a cheaper price from Joe Bloggs Performance. Cheers, Tay
  10. I'd have to disagree with you on this one Mikey. I think the time spent pulling over those 1000 imports could be better spent dealing with people actually breaking the law. A pretty dumb comment on your behalf I think. If I am caught doing something stupid on the road, then by all means throw the book at me and yellow sticker me just for the fun of it - no probs. But otherwise I pay road registration, maintain a roadworthy car etc like every other driver on the road and therefore should be allowed to go along my merry way without being unfarely targeted. Dan: Way to put Mitchy back in his box (after that mindless rant).
  11. I'm interested in the steering wheel - pics please.
  12. LOL at the gravy knees!!!!! You boys wouldn't say no to these straight legged woman - don't kid yourself.
  13. Can I offer you a tissue as well Warren...... Pretty biased comments I think. Why can't people have opinions on the naming and specs of the GTR?? We are all individuals and like our cars (Skylines, GTR's whatever) for different reasons. I personally like my GTR for it's looks, performance and more importantly it's price bracket! No need to burn the young guns either - they are our source of spare parts. :laughing-smiley-014:
  14. $18K target probably explains why you are missing out on a few GTR's mate. Immaculate 32 GTR's in bog stock form or even with a few mods will fetch much more than that - at least 22K. Good luck in the search anyway - you never know.
  15. Mines is simply a remapped stock ecu with a few goodies like speed limiter removed and rev limiter moved. $350 is way too steep for that - especially when you will never get a perfect match for mods vs tune. There are much cheaper than this going around Pm sent.
  16. Mate - I don't think anyone would deny that you have perhaps been hard done by here, but the fact of the matter is, if you want the warranty then you haven't got much choice. I think he is within his rights to ask you to send it to be repaired from the place of manufacture. This is not turbo (or car part)specific at all - it happens with a million and one items you purchase. You don't always get a choice. Bottom line is, you bought a cheap turbo, it's faulty, the manufacturer is offering to fix it. Unless you give them the opportunity to fix it - a full refund is a matter a good will on Slides part - nothing more.
  17. Ive got one.......$125 delivered which is exactly what I paid for it. Ended up getting 2 (long story). pm if interested.
  18. How many times do you want to bump this thread mate. Last time we agreed on a price, then you decided you didn't want to sell it. Random selling strategy.
  19. Well I guess if my dies in the arse I'll just have to get it high flowed by Dr Hammer and Chisel As you can see, I'm just trying to justify being a cheap-skate. If I had my time again I'd probably spend the money on a Metal Cat or Catco (~$400-500). I'm with mikey jap brand at >$500 is a bit much and would not justify the minimal gains over an equivalent Aus one.
  20. I just got my early christmas present from Nengun: Blitz Nur Spec R catback, Blitz front pipe, tomei dumps and going to use 3" X-force cat (non metallic). Spot the weakest link as far as brand name goes! This will be close to the worst on the market me thinks.....but if it dies, I guess it was a cheapish experiment at $160 delivered.
  21. Bad luck champ - drove past you just after it happened. Peak hour, rain, and you looking pretty down on yourself next to the car. Must say it looks much worse in the pics than what I saw on the freeway but then I really only saw one side of it. And like others have said, looks cosmetic only - fix her up, but if it aint a GTR lose the badge I reckon.
  22. If you get a GTR be assured that your running costs will increase in every way, including the insurance premium hike as mentioned above. In my opinion they are not the best daily driver. But then again I am a bit precious with mine so I tend not to want to park it anywhere remotely dodgy. I have a mazda astina sh!tbox to brave the trolleys in shopping centre carparks etc And as for "when I get a GTR I will keep it stock(ish)". So so wrong - you'll mod it just like the rest of us! And in doing so, empty your wallet repeatedly.
  23. I wish all you dosing (fully sick) skyline owners would sell up and go back to Homodores. Sick of all this bullshit modification for the sake of a stupid sound which impresses very few people anyway! Save your time and money on actually modifying for a performance gain perhaps.......aahhh whatever each to their own. Flame away my dosing freinds.
  24. Mate, I've got an '89 R32 GTR with just as many k's, making 250rwkw on 1bar. Fresh-ish stock turbos however. Anyway,it's going strong and hopefully will for a little while yet - fingers crossed. But if it breaks, i'll deal with it. I don't spend my time worry about it - takes the enjoyment out of actually having/driving the thing. Like others have said if you keep it stock, and treat it well, there is no reason why it'll need a rebuild anytime soon. And this may or may not help but Redline lightweight shockproof does wonders for tired GTR boxes - maybe it'll prolong the life of it a bit while you save some pennies.
